I take my daughter there for the Sunny Studio art classes and we get to enjoy the Second Sky community space afterwards. The space is quite large as is still in the process of being developed with the help of volunteers and community donations. As of now, the space it like a large warehouse....that is air conditioned! There are tables to sit and hag out, a concessions/snack stand and various interactive indoor activities, such as scooters, a cozy corner that is like a little library with books and couches, digital art and S.T.E.A.M. interactive exhibits. Outside they have the adventure playground that is really incredible! It's also a non-profit with the goal to create a space that serves the whole community. Their big picture, long-term plan is amazing. I've copied/pasted this following information from their digital booklet: "A shaded outdoor adventure playground for hands-on S.T.E.A.M. learning across multiple ages. A cafe with coffee, pastries, fast casual lunch and dinner, beer, wine and healthy soft drinks. A digital art venue. An event space with regular programming. A community space for meetings, rehearsals, clubs, and groups. A co-working spot for remote and self-employed workers. Multiple Experiences in One Place Putting these attractions in one large beautiful space lets people spend more time together instead of driving from destination to destination. By saving families time and keeping all ages occupied and engaged, we open up opportunities for child learning, homework help, career development, casual socialization and special events for all ages." Best of all, enjoying the space and playground is free!

And while they're playing and learning with other kids, I get to socialize with the other adults. The food is so delicious and the artistry is just amazing. They're also always in the process of adding more, and taking feedback; so I can't wait to see what Second Sky becomes!

This is not a place for older kids, and it can get extremely busy all of a sudden. When they do get busy they often do not have enough staff to man the front counter and the stations, especially the climbing area, which causes long lines slows down participation big time resulting in wasted time. Often during spring break there was only one staff member running that whole climbing area. One thing that I cannot stand as a parent is that they require you to purchase and wear their propriety grip socks. C'mon. Grip socks are grip socks and we have a whole drawer full of grip socks from different places we've been over the years. I've never been to a place where they care which grip socks you are wearing. But if you can't find their branded socks for each kid and adult then you have to purchase another pair just to participate even if you have a handful of viable grip socks. The only mention of it online is when you go to book a date they through it on the screen all of a sudden. It's says you have to have wild Katz grip socks but doesn't exclusively say you can only use their socks. It's just dumb. Lava Island off of River Road and Orange Grove does not have that policy and is also much more suitable for both older and younger kids! This would be a solid 4 star place for younger kids if not for the hit or miss staffing causing lines and the grip sock nonsense!

Entrance to Trail Dust Town is also free, and as we began exploring, plenty of families and visitors started to trickle in. We enjoyed browsing the general store, where we found vintage Beanie Babies, listening to Christmas music, and checking out themed decor from places like the old apothecary, even if some areas weren't accessible. Just a heads up: there's only one restroom in the entire area, located inside the restaurant. Overall, it was a great place to explore, and I'm glad we checked it out!

There's lots of attractions like games, carousel, a train ride and lots to explore. We weren't here for very long, so I don't have much to say, but the experience overall was good, interactions with the staff was kind of interesting, but outside of that we would totally visit again!

I dont like going to places where you have to pay just to "observe". They always have great music playing. Smart to have water fountains for patrons to stay hydrated without having to pay extra just for water. Music choice is always superb and awesome to listen to while watching the kiddos enjoy themselves. I haven't tried one yet but I like that they also offer massage chairs so the parents can enjoy themselves too. I appreciate all the hand sanitizer stations on the floor. The employees here are pretty observant and have great attitudes. There's nothing wrong with this place in my opinion but if I could make a recommendation, perhaps adding more options to the snack counter. Other than that I enjoy coming here. They also have a lot of cool discounts on specific days which is nice.

These employees need to be better trained and should not be calling kids slurs or saying things about drinking and driving, smoking and slurs while working around children, this is unacceptable. I only gave this 2 stars because there is a lovely lady and she has always been very kind and respectful. Please hire more people like her, and fire people like the young man.

My husband and I first visited several years ago and loved it, so we knew it would be a fun place to bring him--and it absolutely was. The animals are so interactive and entertaining. Our favorite experience was with the nectar birds that literally sit on you while they drink. It was such a unique and memorable moment for our son (and honestly for us too!). We also did the monster truck tour, which was fantastic. The guide shared so many interesting facts about ostriches and the ranch itself, and it made the experience even more engaging. It's been really fun to see how much the ranch has grown over the past several years. They've added more experiences and clearly put a lot of care into the place. This spot is truly a treasure and a perfect stop for families looking for something a little different and very memorable. Highly recommend!
