Shuttle service you must go with when riding in Moab, Utah. Professional, accommodating and downright fun people this outfit. They can pick you up at the bike shop closest to you and shuttle you to one of many places. We got a ride up to the start of Lower Porcupine Singletrack to do the famous Porcupine Rim ride. Got picked up in a modified stretch Westie VW, painted birght yellow. What it lacked in a motor it made up for in character. Rattle trap ride up the dirt road for a good 30 minutes as the driver maneuvered the turns and arranged the next shuttle on her phone. Most shuttle companies will only take you to the one designated hot spot. Coyote can customize a shuttle dependent on where you want to go and group size. read more

Driver was fine, loading and booking easy. Their shuttle broke down before getting us to the trailhead for the whole enchilada, (porcupine ridge)We had to bike the road to get to the next closest trailhead, one shy of the trailhead we were going to. I haven't heard anything from the company about refund or discount on another booking. Consider booking with a company with vehicles capable of getting to the promised trailheads, they have old... old VW vans. Stylish yes, capable no. read more

Old VW Vans were not made to carry 14 passengers and their bikes up a mountain! We originally made reservations to go up to Hazard County to ride the Whole Enchilada with Moab cyclery. But because there were only 3 of us, (the minimum is 4) the girl at the shop was nice enough to set us up with her friend at Coyote that was leaving at 7:20. I wish we could have left at 6:00am as I knew it was going to get really hot this day. The guy was nice enough, I can't remember his name but he was not from here and had some difficulty with English. So we get every one loaded and were off by about 7:30. The van has been stretched with custom benches to accommodate about 13 people. very similar to a sardine can. No seatbelts BTW. On the way up I had some serious doubts if we were going to be able to make it. I think top speeds in certain sections was less than 5MPH. Unfortunately they are doing construction on the route and there was a flag person that made us stop and wait. We had to back up about 100yrds so that when she did allow us to go we would be able to get a running start. I think we finally made it up there around 8:46. BTW It's $25 cash only. I didn't appreciate that the bikes are held in place on the roof by putting your crank into this metal slot without any padding and getting it all scratched up. He had a rag that looked like it was supposed to be used for padding but didn't use it.There are other shuttle companies you should consider. read more

They seem really disorganized and unreliable. I've been waiting for our shuttle at the chile pepper bike shop for an hour past the scheduled shuttle time and it's still not here... they over booked our original shuttle, we showed up watched it pack to the brim and leave. I floated down the Green River in Oct 2014 and used Coyote Shuttle to shuttle my car to Mineral Bottom. It was very easy to set this up with them. I told them my dates and filled out some paperwork and they took care of the rest. It was nice to know that my car was going to be at the takeout for me when I got off the river. I also drove away with the key still on my shock. The key dropped out and somehow Coyote Shuttle tracked it down and mailed it to me. Awesome because it's a $200 key. Thank you very much. Love it! They bump up their shuttle times in the summer to help you stay out of the heat. They will give you honest advice on which trails to run and when. We even called them on Sunday evening to see if we could get another shuttle the next morning, and they made it happen! I can't say enough great things about this company! Professional, friendly, just all around great service! We had them shuttle 3 vehicles for our trip down Labyrinth canyon to mineral bottom, one of which was our brand new Tundra with a 26 ft trailer. Not only did they deal with my messing up the placement of the keys, and payment (Thank goodness I could call and explain to Kristi what I had done). Very friendly and knowledgeable / they arrived on time and got us safely to our destination. Our family of four used Coyote Shuttle twice on our trip to Moab over spring break. For the first trip, our driver took us out to Mag 7, and she was great at providing us with lots of advice related to our ride, and for the rest of our visit. For our second ride, they picked us up directly from the Moab Valley RV park (or at least across the road) - and then got us up to the top of Whole Enchilada with a larger crew of about 12 total. It's a shuttle service, so not a lot to comment. They did show up 7 min late which is unprofessional to me, especially when people are up early trying to beat the heat. There were a total of 4 passengers and the van had no problems with the climb to Mag 7. He gave us some decent directions but there must have been some miscommunication bc we asked how long our trip back to the car would be. He told us 14 Miles. It was 23! Not what we were expecting and the road back down was awful. Would've loved to have had a better recommendation from him on where to park. read more

Like the Scooby-Doo van, only better! Coyote Shuttle is the most unique and entertaining shuttle service I've ever experienced. They pick you up in a custom stretch VW van at Chile Pepper bike shop (which has a really good espresso bar, by the way; perfect for pre-ride espresso)... and drive you as high as you can go on The Whole Enchilada. I always have a great conversation with the driver on the ride up. This is the most fun shuttle in Moab, I ride Coyote Shuttle every chance I get. A great start to my favorite ride. Sure any of the shuttle companies in Moab will get you to where you want to be, but Coyote Shuttle does it with style. Do you want a ride up in a VW van with 600,000 miles on it (seriously, our driver said that's what the engine in our van had), or a ride in a boring old Econoline. Our driver was super friendly, and gave us great stories the whole way up to the trailhead. They also do shuttles for river runs, not just bike trips, and they will drop you off damn near anywhere you want. It was a memorable way to start out a very memorable ride. read more

Driver was a jerk to other cars on tight mountain roads making them back up to yield to him. He nearly touched bumpers with one truck as he tried to back up on a skinny rd hemmed in with tight trees. There's no way that guy wasn't super pissed. This obviously gives mountain bikers a bad name. No wonder commercial traffic in the mountains is being regulated more stringently now. read more

This shuttle service is phenomenal - the true hippy lifestyle epitomized in a single shuttle ride; these guys are living the dream and I'm happy to support them. Their VW Bus shuttles (the most recent one we rode in was actually two of them welded together) are clean and spacious. The drivers are friendly and you start off your shuttle with the adventure of wondering if the van will make it up the hill or not. Both times so far - the van made it. Who knew that the adventure of Porcupine Rim would begin on the shuttle. It was a crazy ride in an extended Vanogan. What it lacked in comfort was made up for in character. The driver drove like a bat out of hell on a lawn mower. He got us there in one piece and that included some moments where two or three of the tires contacted asphalt. Shuttle overheated and broke down before making it to Burro Pass. Probably broken fan belt which is a common problem with an old VW and normally a 10 minute fix for anyone who has a spare fan belt and a crescent wrench. Luckily, it was only a couple more miles to the pass so everyone rode rest way UP to the trailhead. Driver still collected $30 from each of us. The shuttle was two ~40 year old VW vans cut and welded together to extend its length to fit 15 people. No seat belts, no head rests....don't know how it passes safety standards for commercial use. There are safer choices in Moab - you should use them. read more

If you have a choice, use any other shuttle company in Moab. They have the worst and slowest vehicles for the same price as other companies. Only reason I ended up on one, is because Moab Cyclery's shuttle I booked was cancelled at the last minute. Once I found out, I thought about riding something else despite the Whole Enchilada being my favorite ride. If you get Jesse Marshall (pretty sure that's who I had) as the driver, just don't talk about anything Moab - he'll just tell you - you don't know what you are talking about and he way is best. I'm in the back of "Ole Yeller" talking to another passenger about other trails in the area and he kept butting in even though he misheard what I was saying. He legitimately sshh-ed me and told me my advice (which he heard wrong of course) on Mag7 riding possibilities to a fellow passenger was "going to get him killed." Says the guy who welded two VW's together and put bench seats in. For the same price I'll take AC, seatbelts, and a driver who doesn't scold me like a child. read more
