I arrived at approximately 7:15PM, the office closes at 8PM. It was very quiet, just a few people checking out. Jackie kindly checked me right in and in just a couple moments, Davin, the Medical Technician called me in to an exam room. He was a Paramedic by trade, and he took a thorough history from me - I felt like I was in very good hands so far. Just a moment or so after Davin left, Ms. Erin Manak, PA-C came in and examined me. When she diagnosed a muscle strain on my chest wall, I felt so relieved and so very glad I had gone to Urgent Care. I was in and out in 1/2 hour, but I did not feel as if I had been rushed in and out. Everyone was kind and calm and I can not say enough good things about the service I received at UC Health Urgent Care. I understand care at an urgent care can be hit or miss, at this location, I have had 2 really good experiences and 1 not so good, so I will return if needed. Thank you!

UChealth family medical center on pennock place has absolutely set the standard for what medical institutions should strive for, and they exceed that standard every time. From the receptionists, nurses, and physicians, there is not a single person there that I have had anything short of a pleasant experience with. They are attentive, caring, understanding, and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. My primary physician Dr Blake Volkmer is one of the kindest, friendliest, understanding and capable physicians I have ever come across and despite just being a first year resident, Dr. Volkmer upholds the standard that which aspiring physicians should strive for. If I could go to this clinic once a week just to hang out and talk to the people who work there, I would. Im only going to be living in Fort Collins until I graduate from CSU, and no matter where life takes me, UChealth family medical center will be the standard in the process of finding new medical care, every single time.

The owner feels comfortable responding on review sites as if her clinic hasn't ghosted us by email…read moreand phone. If the physician has guidelines to follow, then we should be contacted and communicated with regarding said guidelines. Not constantly being told by the front desk "Yeah, I saw that email and we did receive your paperwork, and we sent it to the manager for review. We'll give you a call back. Is this a good number?" Crickets. WARNING: This company retaliates when their back is against the wall by providing erroneously-filled out paperwork, and ONLY when they receive negative feedback. Best to avoid this unprofessional business who are scared to communicate when you need medical help. Here's my review: "I appreciate the physical care this location has provided, but the lack of communication is a bit concerning. Multiple emails and calls, with promises of callbacks and nothing on their end. When you provide a 10-day doctor's note, you should be able to back it up by filling out FMLA paperwork. It has 15 days to be filed, and this is my wife's job on the line. She had to provide me ADL, IADL, and emotional support during the time of the doctor's note, therefore making the FMLA very simple to fill out so I'm not sure what the hesitancy and lack of communication is for. I'm glad you don't have to worry about important paperwork being filled out for your own job security. NextCare Urgent Care it is. Find yourself a truly capable and strong women-owned business elsewhere for your care."

*Warning* - Gore/blood pictures included…read more It was my "day off" so, naturally, I was coming back from picking up a bunch of heavy stock in Boulder for work. In the car on the way back, an artery in my nose spontaneously combusted. I navigated my way home, swallowing far too much blood, and waited for the endless stream to cease. After over an hour it did. The next morning, I placed a call to the virtual doctor to ask his opinion which was a quick "get to the emergency room". Me, being a smart, sensible (i.e. not able to afford an ER visit) woman, decided to call around and found this Urgent Care in Longmont (30 miles away from where I live) under my insurance coverage who said they'd be able to get me a pack and possibly cauterize my nose if need be. I leapt for joy, which started the flow from my nose yet again, hopped into the car (kindly driven by my fiancé) and started the trek south. There were plenty of cars in the parking lot full of people waiting for their drive-up COVID tests. I called the front where they asked if I was showing any symptoms (I wasn't) or had been exposed to anyone (I haven't) and was directed in to the lobby. After paying an easy $20 co-pay and filling out a form balanced on my knee, one hand glued to my nose, I was taken into a room where they took my heart rate (good), temperature (good) and blood pressure (not good). The doctor came in a few minutes later, had me remove the paper towel so he could watch the torrent, then prepped a pack for my faucet nose - basically, a tampon soaked in Afrin. After explaining what he was about to do and how it would help, he kindly jammed that thing up my nose. I was directed to leave it in for three hours, then gently remove it and hope for the best, or go to the ER if it was still bleeding. Thank goodness it finally ceased! The nurse was a little abrasive and didn't help my panicked blood pressure, but she also told it like it is, which I have learned to appreciate. The front desk was misinformed about the possibility of cauterization, so I was frustrated that they stated something that wasn't true, but overall not a big deal. Five stars for the doctor, his great sense of humor, wonderful explanation of details and shoving something up my nostril to keep me from bleeding out. Hoping to never have to visit this place again, but if the need arises, I'll happily drive the 60 miles round trip!

They poked me for an IV that they didn't end up using. That was a bit of an annoying. After a few hours they discharged me with a blank workers comp form which I discovered later after I returned to my job so I could speak to my boss and pick up my vehicle. I returned to the hospital regarding the blank form. They took the form then advised me the provider had already left for the day so it would be updated later in the patient portal. I thought ok fine. I left the hospital and returned home. I woke up in the evening the same day to discover the pharmacy closed so instead I went to the pharmacy in the afternoon the following day. The pharmacist advised me they had received only one of the two prescriptions I was ordered. When the pharmacy reached out the ER they were told that I was allegedly given a paper copy of the prescription therefore no digital order was sent. I say allegedly because I reviewed my discharge papers and everything given to me during my visit and found no prescription hard copy. To top it off the pharmacy advised me they no longer accept physical prescription copies. I then called the hospital to get it straightened out only to be passed around to different departments before finally speaking to the ER. They informed me the provider was in and that it would be sent to the pharmacy digitally. I thought great. I waited approximately 45 minutes before calling the pharmacy. The pharmacy then advised me they still had not received anything from this hospital. I'm very disappointed. It was my first visit to this brand of hospital and I gotta say after this experience I'm very disappointed. I've never had issues like this at any other hospital especially when it came to prescriptions. They really let me down by how disorganized they were and the way they handled my care. I'm currently looking for a pcp and have a new patient appointment scheduled soon with a provider through this network. I'm seriously reconsidering looking at other providers outside of UCHealth because they did not leave a great first impression with me.
