*Warning* - Gore/blood pictures included. It was my "day off" so, naturally, I was coming back from picking up a bunch of heavy stock in Boulder for work. In the car on the way back, an artery in my nose spontaneously combusted. I navigated my way home, swallowing far too much blood, and waited for the endless stream to cease. After over an hour it did. The next morning, I placed a call to the virtual doctor to ask his opinion which was a quick "get to the emergency room". Me, being a smart, sensible (i.e. not able to afford an ER visit) woman, decided to call around and found this Urgent Care in Longmont (30 miles away from where I live) under my insurance coverage who said they'd be able to get me a pack and possibly cauterize my nose if need be. I leapt for joy, which started the flow from my nose yet again, hopped into the car (kindly driven by my fiancé) and started the trek south. There were plenty of cars in the parking lot full of people waiting for their drive-up COVID tests. I called the front where they asked if I was showing any symptoms (I wasn't) or had been exposed to anyone (I haven't) and was directed in to the lobby. After paying an easy $20 co-pay and filling out a form balanced on my knee, one hand glued to my nose, I was taken into a room where they took my heart rate (good), temperature (good) and blood pressure (not good). The doctor came in a few minutes later, had me remove the paper towel so he could watch the torrent, then prepped a pack for my faucet nose - basically, a tampon soaked in Afrin. After explaining what he was about to do and how it would help, he kindly jammed that thing up my nose. I was directed to leave it in for three hours, then gently remove it and hope for the best, or go to the ER if it was still bleeding. Thank goodness it finally ceased! The nurse was a little abrasive and didn't help my panicked blood pressure, but she also told it like it is, which I have learned to appreciate. The front desk was misinformed about the possibility of cauterization, so I was frustrated that they stated something that wasn't true, but overall not a big deal. Five stars for the doctor, his great sense of humor, wonderful explanation of details and shoving something up my nostril to keep me from bleeding out. Hoping to never have to visit this place again, but if the need arises, I'll happily drive the 60 miles round trip! read more

That was the worst medical experience i've had, the receptionist and the nurse who took my vitals were great, very polite and informative. The "doctor" who "examined" me was not helpful in the slightest. She didn't really listen or apply what I said. She didn't want to get imaging and she only looked at my injury once for about 20 seconds. She then declared it was a cyst that would need removed with surgery. She was in the room for maybe a total of 2 minutes and only felt it once. She then had me bend my wrist to see if i experienced numb and tingling which I said yes to but that didn't change her cyst theory. Mind you I have a bone shaped thing sticking out of my wrist with a gap between my thumb bone and wrist which is not present on the other side. She then prescribed me with a sedative and muscle relaxer. I waited for paper work longer than she examined me. This was the least helpful experience I have had, and I would never recommend this place to anyone I know and like. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 1pm. It's now 2pm and I'm still sitting in the exam room waiting to be seen. The room is dirty as if they never clean it. When they asked me about the medication I take, she didn't ask about milligrams or how often. Usually that information is needed if they need to prescribe a medication here at the clinic. There is no point in scheduling an appointment because even people who didn't have an appointment are being seen before those with one. This place is so poorly ran. read more

One of the kindest interactions I've ever had at an urgent care location. Made me feel comfortable despite being miserably sick. I've been sick for almost a week now, and wanted to get some medical attention on a Sunday to provide a doctor's note to my employer for missing more work this coming week. This Nextcare location says they're open on Sundays, so I proceeded to book an appt online, filled out all the paperwork online, did all of the things ahead of time. When I showed up 20 min before my scheduled appt, I checked in online, everything looked good to go ... but all the doors were locked and NOBODY answered the phone or called me back after leaving a few voicemails. I'm sick, and it took a lot of effort to make it to this appt. Luckily the UCHealth clinic across the street is open & got me in as a walk in. Sounds like this is not the first time this has happened with Nextcare. I've been to Nextcare before with good experiences, but this was the final straw. Will not be returning to this location. Based on reviews for the local Longmont Urgent Cares, I chose NextCare. I was visiting from out of town and needed to take a flight home when I realized my headache was actually a sinus infection. I arrived early the next morning and had to wait for a family of three to be seen. But it was worth the wait. I was seen by Kelli and she confirmed I had a sinus infection. She also gave me an understanding of which sinus cavities were affected and where they typically cause pain. I was so thankful to get a lesson on this issue as I had never had a sinus infection before. It was definitely worth the wait. I also noticed they have a program where you can make an appointment and then wait at home until it's your turn. Seems they are trying to be accommodating to those people that are sick, and those that don't want to get sick. So glad they were here to help me!! read more

Disgusting business. They plaster signs over the entire 2 entry doors saying do not come in. Register online. They even barricaded one of the doors. I followed the instructions to sign in via the website which was instructed to do on the door and waited for 2 hours in the parking lot. I finally walked in and they said that I wasn't in the system despite the website saying I was waiting in line. I wasn't seen due to closing time. What a horrible and unethical business. What a waste of time. I made an appointment for a pcr test as I just tested positive with a home test on Sunday, 1/29 and was interested in getting paxlovid as my symptoms were mild to moderate and had started Friday,1/27. I waited over an hour after my arrival to be seen and waited another 30 mins for the Dr to come in. Dr. Rosemary Greenslade finally came in with her mask around her chin. She discouraged me from taking Paxlovid--even though I met the criteria for age and symptoms. I have spent 3 days in bed and never received a call, text or email with my pcr results. After calling this afternoon 1/31 and waiting on hold I was given my covid pcr results--positive. Now, it is too late to start the Paxlovid. Dr Greenslade should keep her personal biases to herself, follow CDE guidelines and wear her mask correctly. read more

Not a long wait, but was charged over 200$ for information I already read on the internet. The doctor literally told me he didn't know anything about my problem and went a printed a page off the internet and told me to see a doctor. One our our employees was sent to this urgent care for an injury. After evaluation they said he needed a CT. We scheduled a CT and they forgot to send the paperwork over and we contacted NextCare so they could send the paperwork over and they said the employee did not need a CT. The NextCare rep said well maybe the other employee said that, but he no longer needs a CT. We asked to speak to a manager and they said their manager is not in very often and we would have to leave a message and she would get back to us within a week. We said this was unacceptable and she needed to get us the proper paperwork so our employee could get the care that he needed. They then directed us to a voicemail. If this is how they handle paperwork I would not trust them for proper medical care. This is a big red flag that this place is extremely disorganized. read more

My husband and I both injured our wrists and utilized NextCare in Longmont. We schedule an appointment, got there about 15 minutes early and waited 45 minutes to be seen. We paid what staff indicated was our total amount due for services. Now a month later we are being charged over $300 ( after insurance) for wrist splints. Splints were $250 each, more than our original amount due. We were not informed of the costs of splints nor that they would be billed at a later date by a vendor. Egregious billing to say the least. I would NOT recommend this urgent care, they are a rip off! read more

They're trying to send my son to collections and he has never even been to this urgent care company, any location. We just got a notice that he was sent to delivery financial. We know for a fact that he wasnt because the sate of service is the day after he got his wisdom teeth out and we were home all day. This place is criminal. I came here for extremely swollen tonsils and couldn't swallow. When I checked in, the front desk wasn't welcoming at all, and the whole process was online. After an hour when I was called back, my provider rushed through the process, so much so that I didn't even get his name. He didn't take the time to ask many questions and abruptly handed me a prescription sheet, then literally ran out of my room. I didn't have a chance to ask questions or get any information on what to expect with my diagnosis. read more

I made an advance appt. online for the NextCare Clinic, Longmont for Asthma symptoms. There was no indication or message on their website that there are no physicians at this location. You have the choice online to see a physician in person or to schedule a virtual visit. My in-person appt. was confirmed for 10:20, and I was there at 10:10. My in-person appt. was confirmed via multiple text messages. When I got there, I was told they have virtual visits only, as they have no physicians there. Knowing this, I would not have showered, dressed, and driven there, as I could have done that from home. Further, a woman entered just before me as a "walk-in" with Covid symptoms (I could hear her conversation with the staff. After both of us waiting 20 minutes (no one else in waiting room), they decided to treat her first. It took over one hour before I was shown into the exam room at 11:30. This happened to be the same exam room, desk, and monitor where the woman with Covid just sat (I heard her and nurse confirm the Covid). I won't go here again. read more

It's almost like the doctors have no clue how to practice medicine here. The front office staff is horrendous and rude. The doctors don't even read charts or make eye contact with you. I'm allergic to penicillin and without reading the chart, they almost prescribed it until I had to remind them I couldn't take it. They're more concerned about getting you out quickly, which is hilarious since you're guaranteed at least 2 hours there anyway. You're better off at your general practitioner or the ER. read more

Poor billing practices. Had to call three different times to discuss a billing issue that occurred 9/2020 Each time I was on hold from 50min-1.15 hour. I was told that the issue was taken care of by insurance and that I didn't owe. Recently, I got a letter from a collection agency about said bill. Called my insurance, got the statement saying they covered it. Called Nextcare, again, and once again they said not to worry because they "finally" received payment. I had a great experience here, a friend had Achilles tendinitis and could barely walk. We scheduled online, on a Monday, and got right in within 2 hours. Must have been lucky but this experience was way more efficient than a hospital ER. We got out with X-rays, Rx and recommendations, everything within an hour. Now I can't imagine this happens all the time there, but it matters that it did for us. Great care from Jeffrey Wallace and the X-Ray staff. No hassles with insurance and I barely had time to doomscroll, so nice to have the rest of your day back instead of 4-5 hours in an ER. read more

Came in here Monday 10/24 for the first time and their estimated wait time monitor screen showed approximately an hour wait. The actual wait was closer to 2 hours which made me wonder why even have the monitors and inaccurate estimates? After the long wait I learned they do not have an ultrasound machine so they referred me across the street to the new UC Health ER building. What a giant waste of my time coming in here to begin with. I did not need to pay another copay for the emergency room($200) for a relatively common ultrasound procedure. Instead I went to Longmont Clinic Urgent care the next morning and had it done for a $45 copay. Overall impression of this place was negative, from the inaccurate wait times to finding out they could not assist me in here with a simple ultrasound procedure. They did not even have any signs up to put on masks if you have a fever or may have something contagious. I needed some fasting blood work done for my new insurance (CO Health Op) and NextCare was one of two options to get it done. I called Monday afternoon to confirm that they did it and to make an appointment. I have a baby and need to schedule a babysitter for this sort of thing, so I asked again when she said they only did biometrics as walk-ins and she confirmed that I just needed to walk in first thing Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning my babysitter shows up and I head to the clinic, only to be told that 1) there is a two hour wait and 2) oh yeah, they only do biometrics BY APPOINTMENT on Fridays! Not only that, but the lady at the front desk moved like she was swimming in molasses, so it took 10 minutes just to figure out that they couldn't do the test at that time! read more

When we first called they answered on the first ring. Told us they did walk ins for covid tests and to park in the parking lot and call back when there. We did this and they told us the wait would be a hour or hour and a half. We decided to go home because sitting in a car waiting that long with a fever isn't comfortable. THREE hours later they called me saying they were ready for me and got a attitude when I let them know I would be there in 10 mins because I had gone home. Did they really expect us to wait three hours in the parking lot SICK!? The covid test was fast and easy and I was told I would get results in 3-5 days. On the third day I didn't get a phone call but was patient. On the fourth day I tried to call (my work was asking for a update) and it said they were open at 8am but no answer. I tried twice that morning and left a voicemail and all of a sudden the hours changed to closed for "special hours." On the fifth day I called multiple times (every two hours) and left another voicemail and still no answer or call back. After reading a review that said they ignore your call but answer other phones I asked my wife to call for me and they answered. They tried to tell her they would call her back and once she said no (she knew they wouldn't call back or answer our phone calls) they transferred her and she was able to get my covid test results FINALLY! I have been going here since 2014. Initially I would just go for Urgent Care needs, but recently I started going there for the Primary Care physician. The only issues that I can remember was when I first went, I felt the diagnoses were a bit off, but when I'd go back, they would correct it and give me what I needed. More recently, specifically starting in 2016, the primary care doctor is amazing! She goes above and beyond every time I go in. The last few times, I have gone in with multiple issues and she takes the time to address each one! She takes the time to hear my issues and figure out what we need to do to move forward. And if I need a referral, I just go in, talk to her, and she usually agrees with me and refers me as needed. Even today, I needed a doctor's letter saying I was good for a possible job position and she wrote it up and faxed it for me right as I was sitting there. I would definitely recommend her, and this clinic, to anyone!! Sometimes I have to wait, even if I scheduled an appointment, but... such is life sometimes. read more

I went in for an annoying, painful sliver in my thumb. I had come from an eye doctor appointment in which the staff was not up to par. So to go from that, to UNC Health Urgent Care where the staff was friendly, welcoming, caring, efficient, professional and overwhelmingly positive was refreshing to say the least. They obviously enjoy their jobs and even though they told me it had been a very hectic day, they still made sure I was completely taken care of and made to feel like I was the only patient they had. I have to agree with many of the reviews. Unfortunately I am at the mercy of insurance so I had to come to this urgent care but thankfully my insurance changes in a month and will have other options. The location in Longmont is too small and even if you sign in on-line you'll be waiting at least an hour. There is no real "care" here, there is mostly too many people and a lot of waiting. I won't be back to this location and if I didn't have strep throat I'd just leave but I need a stupid doctor to give me a prescription and some condescension. In all fairness, I found out, after I left my review, the location was short staffed the morning I was there. That said, it's still not okay your establishment wouldn't provide the patients with timely service by staffing your Longmont location with an appropriate number of employees. read more

On my first visit I showed them how dry I was, then I showed my gums receding. (blood deficiency sign) I told them Longmont United Hospital gave me something that is stopping the production of saliva, made my Liver enlarged & pushing against my ribs, (cirrhosis) both my kidneys are sore from a game of bowling, & I told them Boulder Community Health. (4747 Arapahoe Ave.) injected me with an acidic substance then gave me an MRI for "shoulder pain?!" I then was injected with a dye that pushed the first injection straight into my kidneys & for 4 knights my liver had spasms for 2hrs each night. The injection is also aiding in eating up my teeth & gums. Receding gums & tooth lose is the first cause of blood deficiency along with the injections. With that been said, they drew 8oz approximately of blood to test my Liver, Kidneys & to check what's in my blood to say "nothings wrong." I'm tired all the time, have no motivation, gums receding, joints hurt (from liver not nourishing soft tissue) spine hurts, sacral area is in extreme pain from the injection, my kidneys easily get sore, my liver & gallbladder hurt daily causing sleep interruption, my teeth all hurt. But, they tell me "You only have an infection"! they prescribed me Amoxicillin 500mg. 2 every 12hrs. Clarithromycin 500mg. 1 every 12hrs. the max dosage for this is 1000mg every 24hrs. & Omeprazole 40mg 1 a day. All of them have warnings for people with Liver & Kidney disease. All are not to be given to patient with liver & kidney problems & have over 20 side effects. Clarithromycin has a side effect of Liver failure. I went in to talk about my medication told them about my thyroid problem they drew 6oz. of blood again for 1 test to tell me nothings wrong the next day after I have signs & symptoms of thyroid disease. Fastest lab pick up & testing I've ever heard of. I wasn't going to post this until I started to feel that medicine eating my liver up, my gums are burning & my jaw started to hurt after taking the medication & once they decided to steal my blood & contribute. If the hospital, city or state tells them not to diagnose me that's fine just stop stealing my blood & harming me! Even in the midst of COVID and trying to be understanding, this urgent care has been so terrible about communication it's almost unbelievable. To be fair, we did have a really nice clinician perform our covid tests when we went in. That has been the only acceptable part of this experience. We scheduled our COVID tests two weeks before we were going to travel. After waiting nearly two hours and watching people walk in for their tests before ours that had been prescheduled for weeks, we finally got the test. They told us it would take 2-4 days. It took 7 which was understandable if they were swamped. However, they called me three days ago to tell me to call them to get my results which I have been trying to do 15+ times a day and no one answers the phone. I have left voicemails, tried calling tons of times, and I can't get a hold of anyone to get my results. If they are too busy to handle this amount of people, they should not be offering tests to anyone because I can't appropriately respond to my test result if I can't get it. It's very discouraging. Still have yet to get a hold of anyone or hear back from them and I wouldn't be surprised if I never did at this point. read more

After that, anytime he called they ignored him. After leaving a message and a few more attempts of calling them, he called on my phone which they promptly answered.
