This style was Kristen. She calls herself a professional. She is not even close and I don't even know how the hell graduated from beauty school!! with each appointment for foil highlights every time I was sitting under the dryer with the foil highlights she let the foils stay on too long therefore, the bleach melted my hair off in the foils little by little each visit and I didn't start to notice it until the fall of 2025 when I brought it to her attention, she tells me that my hair has been shedding and that it's a hormonal shift with menopause well once you see the photos, you will disagree with her statement why my hair was slowly disappearing each visit? A hormonal menopause shift does not melt and break your hair off from the neck down. Menopause does affect your hair. I agree, but it affects it from the root down not from the neck down.!! if I would've noticed sooner, I would have stopped going there immediately, And that was my stupidity on my part ! So unfortunately for me I didn't notice until it was too late!! And when I brought this to her attention she refuses to take any responsibility whatsoever for the structural damage done to my hair! And the financial losses that I have endured !! I have reached out to the owner and sent her several emails with attached photos, dates and bank statements and haven't gotten a response back!! do you know what they say about Karma ? karma will bite her back with a vengeance!! RJ walks you through and explains thoroughly what she does with your hair. she has a warm and bubbly personality which made it easy to be comfortable. Finding a great stylist at an affordable price is what makes the successful ones possible. I've had a few stylists at Revelations, and they are all top notch. They will help you decide what you want to do if you're on the fence. They will give you alternatives if what you want is not totally within your "hair potential." If you want to chit chat, they will. If you don't, they don't force it. I've been seeing Jamie for quite a while now, and it's a great partnership. I come out looking better than I expected which isn't an easy feat at my age. She's earned my trust. It's best to call for an appointment because they are usually busy. But if you do walk in, it doesn't really matter who you get because the caliber of the stylists are high at Revelations. They carry decent product lines and my hair is always soft and shiny when I leave. I also make my home product purchases here because I can trust they are authentic. I have been to other salons in Philly that are also excellent, and I've paid a heckuva lot more for the services. I hate including this in my review, and it is one of the reasons I've parked my hair there, but I think they could charge more for their services and not lose a lot of clients. I'm lucky that they are pretty close to where I live...but they are worth the drive if that's not the case for you. Note: Don't be discouraged by my travel photos!
