Terrible. From start to finish-- a disaster. To begin with, the lights did not work at all. But my real dissatisfaction lies in the way it as handled. First off, I called the company directly. Now, I'm not that old, but I remember when, if a company sold you a lemon, they would say,"Oh dear, I'm so sorry, we will rush deliver you a new one right away and you can mail this one back at your leisure." This was effective because it assured the customer that their business was important and it showed the company's earnestness. When I called Cowboy Studio and told them, the woman told me to go online and fill out a form. "Seriously?" I asked. Because I was talking to a real human being who, instead of taking care of the problem herself, wanted me to fill out an online form instead and wait. The woman replied, "Excuse me?!?!" as though I had insulted her. I explained my reaction and she said, in a condescending tône, "We have to keep records." Oh yes! records. Of course I understand the reason why a company keeps records, but I've never been asked to be the one to do it before. Resigning myself to the thought that this is just the way of the world, I filled out the online product form. Three days later, I received an email telling me that I need to send them my shipping invoice! This is getting out of hand. Do they keep no records of their own? Is this entirely my responsibility as customer. Mind you, I still have not heard, "I'm sorry, we value you as a customer, let's make this right for you, right away." So, I forward the invoice and receive yet another email, a few days later asking ME to pay for the shipping and they will reimburse the expense. Unbelievable. I asked for clarification (email is a very poor way to communicate with your customer) and it took them five days to respond to my email. FIVE DAYS! This whole experience has seriously delayed my film schedule. This company is awful and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more
