Still a nice setting but a steakhouse which cannot cook a rare or a medium well steak? I am from Texas and I know how to grill a steak. The food was absolutely delicious. Could not have asked for a better meal. The portions were huge and the steaks were fabulous. The atmosphere was delightful. Outdoor seating and the smell from the wood grill was intoxicating. It is well worth the drive for the food. It is that good. The service was deplorable. Our waitress was awful. We saw her when she took the order and brought the bill. We had to hunt down someone for extra drinks, ketchup and had to beg another waiter to take our dessert order. The steaks were 'very' 'very' disappointing. First the good stuff. The view, decor, ambiance were really great. Exactly as advertised and pictured. The service was really good until the steaks didn't show up. Then nonexistent. We both ordered the T Bone steaks medium rare ($43 each). The steaks took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive. When they did mine was well-done the other medium well ...and tough! The filet side was tender but size wise my filet was only one bite my wife's was two bites. Rice and beans were good but my wife's corn on the cob had simply been microwaved and thrown on the grill as an afterthought. In fact we left the steak and sides half eaten. They did comp the onion rings to compensate for the bad steaks. We won't be back. read more

Stopped in for dinner during vacation and had an A-ok meal, not a 5-star experience like a lot of the other reviews. There was plenty of seating available because it was pretty early around 6pm and the place wasn't busy at that time on a Saturday night. The appetizers of empenadas and grilled bacon came out pretty quickly and were tasty. The complimentary popcorn was a nice touch. After that it took a very long time to get our dinner even tough the place wasn't busy and they waitress would disappear for extended periods of time, leaving us thirsty for water and alcohol. I had the grilled chicken with rice which was pretty good. The wife had some kind of strange hamburger mixed with chicken that was pretty disappointing. The people in the group that got steaks seemed pretty happy. Road up to the restaurant is pretty scary if you aren't used to driving in Rincon. read more

The food was decent but two couples had a vicious dog unleashed at their table. An innocent seeing eye dog was attacked by the unleashed dog and it was crying in pain. It was one of the most disturbing things I've ever witnessed. What's even worse is that the party with the vicious dog were yelling at the people who's dog their dog attacked. The restaurant did NOTHING about it. We were so disgusted and disturbed we got all our food boxed up and left. Apparently this dog has a wrap sheet of attacking other dogs all over Rincon. It was one of the worst experiences EVER! The manager should have kicked out the party with the horrible dog and given the other party with the hurt dog their money back and then some. This restaurant should do better. DON'T come here with a dog - don't even bother coming ever. read more

Cowboys looks like a fun bar and restaurant for the area, but we visited during a quieter time without many other customers. The prices were reasonable but we were a bit disappointed in our food. We got a meat sampler appetizer to try many different items and weren't impressed with any of the flavors. Portion sizes were very fair especially for sides. I personally wouldn't come back, but think this would be a good option for families. read more

We recommend the ribs and any of the steaks. New to our favorites are the BBQ chicken thighs. If you want a nicer wine than the house wine (decent), call ahead about bringing your own. Love dessert? The place is awesome! Is a Ranch Style restaurant with a real rodeo. Good cowboy ambient. There are some days during the year that have real rodeos competitions. Like real cowboys getting little bulls (if that's is how you said it). Dinner was a Filet Mignon and it was increadible. SUPERB! Just amazing. Great taste and tender. Cowboys wooo. This is a great venue to just kill BBQ food and watch a show. We went yesterday and were able to catch roping practice with the bulls. It was pretty interesting since it's not something you see everyday or what I would expect to find in Rincon. Venue is really big. We ordered a ton of food. The skirt steak was excellent and cooked to perfection, it was soft and cooked evenly throughout. The burger sliders also were great, the meat they used for it packed a ton of flavor. Got two sides of mash potatoes which were decent and Mac N Cheese which was kind of forgettable. The whiskey meatballs we ordered as an appetizer tasted kind of weird. Also ordered chicken fingers which weren't anything special. Service was very good. Overall, great spot to catch a show and do something different in Rincon. BBQ food is on point for the most part - definitely recommend the steaks. Pricing is kind of on the high end, but I would expect it to be with the show and food that is offered. This place is a gem! It has an actual rodeo! Nice alfresco dining. My ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and perfectly seasoned. The waitress even put the Cubs game on the big screen for me!
