Absolutely wonderful coffee...rich flavored and full aroma. I ordered the Joe's special which is a latte topped with evaporated milk. Delicious! I got there around 8:30 on a Thursday morning, traveling across country from TN to CA. Elko's finest (PD) were there, as were lots of locals. That's a sign of some good joe!! Stopped here while on a road trip. There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. Simple clean interior that lived up to its name with lots of cowboy themed decor all around. I ordered a medium iced dirty chai. It came with 2 shots and was way more sweet than spiced. My husband got a drip coffee. Drip is available self-serve style with the brews listed "mild" or "wild". We were in town for a wedding and my friend said this was the go-to coffee shop of Elko! It is located downtown in a very walkable area. There are some cool murals on the brick walls nearby, it's worth walking around to check them out. This coffee shop has a lot of fun specialty coffee flavors. I asked what their best sellers are and let them know I usually order a flavored latte. They suggested the Happy Camper which is a latte with vanilla and caramel. I got a size medium and served as iced! I was impressed at how fast my drink was ready. The coffee itself was really good, I could taste both flavors equally well. They served the iced latte in a cup that requires a straw, but the only straws they had available on their side counter with the cream/sugar were super wide straws that you would normally use for bubble tea. I didn't see a regular size straw anywhere which was a bit odd, unless I missed it. Either way, coffee was still great and it was the pick-me-up I needed. Read the street signs! Almost parked myself in a loading zone. Most are 2 hour spots. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, about a two minute walk away. Service is great. Quick and easy. When you are out of town on assignment it can suck. Suck like bad breakfast at your hotel. I decided to try the special at my favorite coffee shop and it didn't disappoint. The Rocky Mountain Oyster (all puns aside) was a slightly nutty mixture of almond and hazelnut. It was smooth, sweet, and didn't overpower my latte. Customer service is always good here and continues to be impeccable. Today, the server brought my coffee around the counter directly to me. Great coffee spot with tons of character and a cowboy life theme located in downtown Elko. Although there is a very limited food menu (a couple different muffins and pastries, a breakfast burrito and bagels) the coffee menu is extensive and offers a lot of different options. I had a great vanilla latte and a super fresh cinnamon raisin bagel complete with whipped creme cheese. I enjoyed the seating area with old school fireplace and comfy couch as well as looking at all the merchandise and art for sale. How in the world this place got good reviews is beyond my comprehension. My extra hot latte wasn't. They didn't know how to do 3 shots (because they pull doubles). And the coffee itself didn't taste like coffee. Like no coffee flavor in a 3 shot 12oz latte. But the real kicker here is that there was something drastically wrong with the milk because it tasted like cream cheese. So f'ing gross. Just a bad experience all around. read more
