They have the best happy hour! Happy hour is 3-6pm every day, including the weekends. Select apps with a star on the menu are half off, and there are $3 rails. The potato skins are awesome and loaded with so many toppings. The wings are a great deal during happy hour and the bourbon sriracha sauce is so good. The pretzel is soo soft and the cheese dip it comes with goes well. The fries are crispy and salted well. The fried mushrooms were decent. I wouldn't get the calamari as it was a little tough. Service is friendly and this location has plenty of seating, including spacious booths. Happy hour between 3 -6pm makes it very affordable to eat and drink here. $3 rail and $4 calls are almost unbeatable pricing and they also had half off apps. The tater tot hot dish and cheese curds were good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to say great. Tater tot hot dish was lacking in saltiness and richness but still packed some nice meat and crispy tots. The cheese curds were good, but didn't come out real hot so the cheese was less melty and more solid. Service was good, we had a large table of 16 and the staff maintained order and organization well and managed to serve us all together. The environment is what you'd expect, a bit on the noisy side, so not a place you'd want to go if conversation is your priority. Cowboy Jacks has all the deals! Their happy hour has great drink specials and they offer half priced select appetizers. When I went for happy hour it was very busy which is no surprise when the deals good. Service was a bit slow but they were working so hard to serve many full tables. I ordered the fried pickles and ordered a burger off of their Wednesday burger special. The fried pickles weren't my favorite since the breading was soggy and the burger was mediocre but the deals were too good to pass up so I'm not complaining. I have been going to the Roger's location for years and have never had a single bad experience. So when I was in Apple Valley for a work lunch we decided to come here. It was a Friday afternoon at about 1230. So the place was pretty dead. After looking at the menu and seeing they had a taco salad I asked the server how it was made and if it was made using a hard shell bowl made of corn or flour tortilla or another way. She said it was indeed made with the taco bowl. I said great that's the only way I would want it. My co worker ordered a salad as well but it was a garden salad and he added chicken and steak to it. Cool. She brings out our food while im getting some pull tabs. I come back to our table and see that I've been given a plate of a spring mix salad ( which has bitter greens like riddichio and purple cabbage) surrounded by a like 8 tortilla chips, a small pile of ground beef, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo) I asked for no tomatoes so the pico being sent, stupid). How could she send this out knowing I clearly asked about how it was made, stated I only wanted it if it was in the taco bowl, said no tomatoes and gave me pico! Meanwhile my co workers salad -amazing! It had the lettuce a salad should have a mix of romaine and iceberg, he was given a salsa for his potato skins (shouldn't I have gotten salsa with my TACO Salad. So after we sat there for 25 minutes before she came back there wasn't even enough time to reorder. She saw my plate still full of food , asked me if I wanted a box and I just looked at her with disbelief and said no. Girl you knew you sent me a bowl of BS. A fun outing on Friday brought us to Cowboy Jacks! In the back room is a large space set up with an open dance area for the Line Dancing lessons starts at 7 and goes till 9. There are couches and high tables available and a designated bar for drinks! The floor was full of wanna be dancers who actually were doing great! And the teacher provider a lot of different dance moves fun for sure and the hubs and I might be back with our boots! We grabbed a bite to eat at the bar in the front of the bar / restaurant bartenders were pleasant and attentive. For an appetizer we ordered the jalapeño cheese curds which were hot & delicious We also ordered the smoked chicken flatbread which came out hot however not much else to say as we couldn't taste any smokiness in the chicken and made a note not to order it again. When it came it wasn't at all even anything that looked like a taco salad. It was radicho lettuce (weird) a few tortilla chips, ranch and a side of guac and pico. I've ever seen a worse excuse of a taco salad in my life. The fact that the waitress even brought this out knowing I specifically asked for the salad in the tortilla bowl was rude as hell. She should have acknowledged her obvious mistake. And the chef should go back to school or at the very least familiar themselves with what a taco salad is. She said their manager was not there, and she would say something to the bartender. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. My husband and I went for lunch on a Monday during the holiday season. It wasn't crowded and we were seated at a booth. This Cowboy Jacks is connected to a hotel which is great. I had the taco wrap which was tasty and my husband had the Cowboy Burger which he also enjoyed. Cowboy Jacks is a low-key spot in the middle of the day. The food was good, the beer selection adequate, and just nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our lunch and our server, Relinda, was extremely pleasant. We'll be back, for sure. read more

I don't know what country it was from but it was a very weak sandwich. We both had drinks. Tab came to a little over $55.00 w/o tip. Thats obscene. On a $55.00 bill, they charged us $0.50 for the BBQ sauce!! That took balls. If you like eating mediocre bar food at high prices in the middle of noisy and smelly HWY 77 while listening to hokey cowboy music then you'll enjoy the patio. Our whole experience today was absolutely a 5 no questions asked. We had a server named Nokia and she made the experience and will be requesting her next time. Perhaps the worst food that I've ever had at a sit down restaurant. Everything was either over cooked or too cold. No happy medium. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, so I am not blaming her. We were told that the cook was new. It was almost as if said cook never cooked before. The wings were good but cold. Caesar salad was good( hard to mess that up) but everything else was abysmal. My friend had the bbq pulled pork sandwich which I took a bite from as well and it was horrible. The meat was dry and overcooked. Even extra sauce didn't help it. We asked to see a manager and told her about our experience. She took $14 off the bill, so that was good but her attitude and appearance was very unprofessional. We will not be returning. I've been coming here for over a year. Service staff and Bartenders are generally the worst I've seen. I cam in with a friend last weekend and it took us over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Meanwhile there were 4 servers and a blonde bartender to busy talking to care about customers. Only people getting waited on were people sitting at the bar and even then they were being ignored for long periods. Also what's with the 2 inch fingernails that most of the service staff and bartenders have, I wonder what filth is lurking under those as they did into the ice bins. Overall not a good situation. We had several items that came out from the kitchen cold and when replacement was provided that was supposed to be warm, it was half of the amount of food and just as cold. The third try was actually warm food. (That's where the second star comes from). We waited almost 40 minutes for our food to come out when there was next to no one in the restaurant. The appetizers came out the same time as the food. Our server came to our table a total of 5 times with two of those times only to deliver "not cold" food. She spent a lot more time talking with coworkers than checking on any of her tables. It was an extremely disappointing experience and my group and I do not plan to come back.
