They have the best happy hour! Happy hour is 3-6pm every day, including the weekends. Select apps with a star on the menu are half off, and there are $3 rails. The potato skins are awesome and loaded with so many toppings. The wings are a great deal during happy hour and the bourbon sriracha sauce is so good. The pretzel is soo soft and the cheese dip it comes with goes well. The fries are crispy and salted well. The fried mushrooms were decent. I wouldn't get the calamari as it was a little tough. Service is friendly and this location has plenty of seating, including spacious booths. They were able to accommodate my group of 18 people and pushed together a couple tables for us, which I really appreciated. There is a private room that you can rent out as well. read more

Apple Valley Cowboy Jacks, per usual proved to be a good time. Happy hour between 3 -6pm makes it very affordable to eat and drink here. $3 rail and $4 calls are almost unbeatable pricing and they also had half off apps. The tater tot hot dish and cheese curds were good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to say great. Tater tot hot dish was lacking in saltiness and richness but still packed some nice meat and crispy tots. The cheese curds were good, but didn't come out real hot so the cheese was less melty and more solid. Service was good, we had a large table of 16 and the staff maintained order and organization well and managed to serve us all together. The environment is what you'd expect, a bit on the noisy side, so not a place you'd want to go if conversation is your priority. Acts much more like a sports bar than all else Highly recommend if you're in the market for affordable happy hours, best deals in the cities. read more

Horrible customer service. I called to place an order, and the phone rang once and hung up? Repeated calls went unanswered. When I went to the restaurant and spoke to the manager, she said" technology right" ? Food was ok, but the way they treat customers has completely soured me on the Apple Vally location. read more

Cowboy Jacks has all the deals! Their happy hour has great drink specials and they offer half priced select appetizers. When I went for happy hour it was very busy which is no surprise when the deals good. Service was a bit slow but they were working so hard to serve many full tables. I ordered the fried pickles and ordered a burger off of their Wednesday burger special. The fried pickles weren't my favorite since the breading was soggy and the burger was mediocre but the deals were too good to pass up so I'm not complaining. I had a great happy hour experience here and will definitely be back! read more

I have been going to the Roger's location for years and have never had a single bad experience. So when I was in Apple Valley for a work lunch we decided to come here. It was a Friday afternoon at about 1230. So the place was pretty dead. After looking at the menu and seeing they had a taco salad I asked the server how it was made and if it was made using a hard shell bowl made of corn or flour tortilla or another way. She said it was indeed made with the taco bowl. I said great that's the only way I would want it. My co worker ordered a salad as well but it was a garden salad and he added chicken and steak to it. Cool. She brings out our food while im getting some pull tabs. I come back to our table and see that I've been given a plate of a spring mix salad ( which has bitter greens like riddichio and purple cabbage) surrounded by a like 8 tortilla chips, a small pile of ground beef, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo) I asked for no tomatoes so the pico being sent, stupid). How could she send this out knowing I clearly asked about how it was made, stated I only wanted it if it was in the taco bowl, said no tomatoes and gave me pico! Meanwhile my co workers salad -amazing! It had the lettuce a salad should have a mix of romaine and iceberg, he was given a salsa for his potato skins (shouldn't I have gotten salsa with my TACO Salad. So after we sat there for 25 minutes before she came back there wasn't even enough time to reorder. She saw my plate still full of food , asked me if I wanted a box and I just looked at her with disbelief and said no. Girl you knew you sent me a bowl of BS. The cool is responsible as well for not knowing how to make things as the menu says and as the customer requested but the server is also wrong for even letting that plate of chaos go out. We won't ever be back. read more

A fun outing on Friday brought us to Cowboy Jacks! In the back room is a large space set up with an open dance area for the Line Dancing lessons starts at 7 and goes till 9. There are couches and high tables available and a designated bar for drinks! The floor was full of wanna be dancers who actually were doing great! And the teacher provider a lot of different dance moves fun for sure and the hubs and I might be back with our boots! We grabbed a bite to eat at the bar in the front of the bar / restaurant bartenders were pleasant and attentive. For an appetizer we ordered the jalapeño cheese curds which were hot & delicious We also ordered the smoked chicken flatbread which came out hot however not much else to say as we couldn't taste any smokiness in the chicken and made a note not to order it again. All in all we had a fun time and will be back! read more

Good place to have a cheap drink. Needs a lot of updating! 3 days after a snowstorm sidewalks still aren't shoveled, even in front of handicap parking. Barstools in bar are all torn. Food is good and drinks are cheap. Service was good. read more

Was there for happy hour, wings were great. Great sauce, great price. Waitress was personable and great.

The wing prices were fantastic during happy hour and i had great time, the waitress was great too.

I went here April 10th for my birthday during the lunch hour. It wasn't at All busy even for a Friday. I asked the waitress prior to ordering if the taco salad was made in a bowl made of tortilla and she said it was. This was the only reason I ordered it. When it came it wasn't at all even anything that looked like a taco salad. It was radicho lettuce (weird) a few tortilla chips, ranch and a side of guac and pico. I've ever seen a worse excuse of a taco salad in my life. The fact that the waitress even brought this out knowing I specifically asked for the salad in the tortilla bowl was rude as hell. She should have acknowledged her obvious mistake. And the chef should go back to school or at the very least familiar themselves with what a taco salad is. My friend had a delicious salad with the type of lettuce that should have been on my salad. A mix of iceburg and romaine. Will never go back. Terrible. read more

The buffalo chicken pizza was incredible. Highly recommend sitting down for a beer and a pizza.

I sat in a booth looking at filthy dust growing like a fungus on the ceiling worried it would get into my food. I brought it up to the server. She said their manager was not there, and she would say something to the bartender. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Offer me another table to cleaning it off to remaking my food and covering it so that I can take it home And eat and clean environment that's what they're hosting. Looks like I wonder what behind the scenes in the kitchen looks like. read more

My husband and I went for lunch on a Monday during the holiday season. It wasn't crowded and we were seated at a booth. This Cowboy Jacks is connected to a hotel which is great. I had the taco wrap which was tasty and my husband had the Cowboy Burger which he also enjoyed. Cowboy Jacks is a low-key spot in the middle of the day. The food was good, the beer selection adequate, and just nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our lunch and our server, Relinda, was extremely pleasant. We'll be back, for sure. read more

The wait wasn't terribly long, but the time it took for us to be able to order definitely took away from that one good component. The food was terrible. My friend had to put bbq sauce on his taco because it was so plain. I've had cafeteria burgers that tasted better than what I had here. The bun was hard and there were maybe 6 out of 1000 fries that were actually eatable. I threw the dry on my plate and nearly broke it lol! It's a big no for me. I'd never give them a second chance. I understand it was busy, but you still can't serve mediocre food read more

Cowboy Jacks - Plainest burger ever! And the fries were extremely hard. I thought I was going to break my tooth on one so I had to stop trying. - Bars Near Me - Apple Valley, Minnesota

The location itself is nice. It looks decent inside, and there are large TVs everywhere. I'm trying really hard to say something else positive. The rest of the review can be summed up in this fact: almost all drinks were served to us in plastic cups. No, really. Anything else you want to know? Just draw your own conclusions about a place that serves cocktails in little plastic cups. read more

I went to Cowboy jacks this AM. The service was okay, nothing to brag about. I ordered a Bloody Mary, steak bites and wings. The Bloody Mary was terrible. I could barely finish it. The bartender needs more training or please admit you can't make a good Bloody Mary. I asked her about her BM skills. Then the food. Don't bother. On a scale of one to ten, it was a one. Just plain gross. I ate the steak bites because I was hungary. I ordered them medium rare, they were well done. The wings I will feed to the crows. The blue cheese dressing was something that was runny and didn't taste like blue cheese dressing. The price was lot for what I ordered too, save your money. I will never return. You are better off eating at a Mac and Dons! Seriously, that terrible. read more

Arrived at 3:20pm Served water at 3:45pm. Our order taken. Served appetizer queso and stale chips at 4:00pm. You're probably better off going down the block to Wild Bill's. Cowboy Jack's serves nothing more than below average bar food at inflated prices. We split some Calamari (greasy and lacked flavor). I ordered the brisket sandwich and was served the pulled pork. Very dry. I had to ask for some extra BBQ sauce. More on that later. Wife ordered their Country Ruben. I don't know what country it was from but it was a very weak sandwich. We both had drinks. Tab came to a little over $55.00 w/o tip. Thats obscene. On a $55.00 bill, they charged us $0.50 for the BBQ sauce!! That took balls. If you like eating mediocre bar food at high prices in the middle of noisy and smelly HWY 77 while listening to hokey cowboy music then you'll enjoy the patio. You probably won't, however, enjoy the bill. A very poor value. Oh, and eating indoors is not much better as the noise level is off the charts. By the way: I did write a note to the manager. Still waiting for a response. read more

Our whole experience today was absolutely a 5 no questions asked. We had a server named Nokia and she made the experience and will be requesting her next time. I ordered a BBQ pizza with blue cheese added and the thin crust was absolutely fantastic. My daughter had the capris pizza with cauliflower crust and she have it 2 up !! My wife had the sloppy joe and said she would order it again and my son had the Buffalo Chicken wrap that also had high praise. I tip my hat Cowboy Jacks and keep up the great work !!! read more

Perhaps the worst food that I've ever had at a sit down restaurant. Everything was either over cooked or too cold. No happy medium. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, so I am not blaming her. We were told that the cook was new. It was almost as if said cook never cooked before. The wings were good but cold. Caesar salad was good( hard to mess that up) but everything else was abysmal. My friend had the bbq pulled pork sandwich which I took a bite from as well and it was horrible. The meat was dry and overcooked. Even extra sauce didn't help it. We asked to see a manager and told her about our experience. She took $14 off the bill, so that was good but her attitude and appearance was very unprofessional. We will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and consider other options in this area. It's not worth what they charge. read more

Super disappointed. Got seated fairly quickly but they are clearly either overworking their limited wait staff or they're just not that good. Waited long time to order, waited to get the bill. Food was pretty bland. Got the Buffalo cauliflower that was just caked cauliflower balls. Queso dip had that film on it that comes typically from Chef Mike (microwave) and was very bland. Like a cheap Velveeta with no seasoning. Other items just lacking in flavor. Ambience is nicer than Old Chicago, the former occupant, but super noisy inside. Outside is a patio off Cedar Ave. There is a nice firepit but you're still sitting in a parking lot off Cedar.. Not worth coming back. read more

Great Bloody & Service. Got the vegetable Casa. Tasted too much like the grill hasn't been cleaned.

We were so excited to go here and we were more than disappointed with the service. Alexis was our server and honestly acted as if we were bothering her. We had to wait quite awhile for our drinks while they sat made at the bar. Our food was delivered with no napkins, plates or silverware. She disappeared so found another server to get us plates and napkins. After awhile she appeared and I asked for silverware. After 10 minutes we asked for the manager. The manager appeared and was absolutely worthless. Said he would get our check and offered nothing else. She returned and we inquired about silverware and she replied they were still washing and wrapping them... really? Won't return here again. read more

Honestly very unimpressed. I ordered the NY strip when I finally got served. Asked for medium, came out well done and dry. The "mashed potato" was more like a baked potato broken up with a fork, and not seasoned at all. Broccoli was cold, too. All that, plus two bottles of beer for $40. I won't ever waste my time on any of their locations again. read more

I moved to apple valley last week and have been here twice. First time I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was phenomenal and the second time the tortillas which were ok. Got seated by a nice host, but after 20 mins no one checked on us nor took our order. We looked around to be helped and was ignored. When a server finally came she said "sorry I didn't see you guys". When clearly someone saw us. My brother in law was standing next to booth looking for a server. When there was multiple servers looking this way. Someone from our table had to go up and talk to host after 20 mins. We finally ordered drinks when a snotty server arrived. Another 15 mins go by and no drinks. Still haven't ordered our food yet at this point. We sure would've been better off at wild Bills down the street. We've been there multiple times and have been treated well and with respect. Not trying to make this a racial issue (We seem to be the only people of color in the whole restaurant). But Multiple tables came after us and were served before us Got their drinks and food while we sat there looking dumb and ignored. Horrible service . Would not recommend this place. read more

I'd rate "0" if possible. Arrived shortly after noon; restaurant was not busy. Sign posted "seat yourself", so we did. We waited 10 minutes and no one approached us. The bartender saw us come in, and we sat close to the front. So, we left. read more

I've been coming here for over a year. Service staff and Bartenders are generally the worst I've seen. I cam in with a friend last weekend and it took us over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Meanwhile there were 4 servers and a blonde bartender to busy talking to care about customers. Only people getting waited on were people sitting at the bar and even then they were being ignored for long periods. Also what's with the 2 inch fingernails that most of the service staff and bartenders have, I wonder what filth is lurking under those as they did into the ice bins. Overall not a good situation. The managers or owners need to step in and do an overhaul of the staff, train them how to be good or hire people that give a damn. My 3 year old daughter would do a better job. last read more

The food was okay but no one in my group really thought they would reorder their food item again. We had several items that came out from the kitchen cold and when replacement was provided that was supposed to be warm, it was half of the amount of food and just as cold. The third try was actually warm food. (That's where the second star comes from). We waited almost 40 minutes for our food to come out when there was next to no one in the restaurant. The appetizers came out the same time as the food. Our server came to our table a total of 5 times with two of those times only to deliver "not cold" food. She spent a lot more time talking with coworkers than checking on any of her tables. It was an extremely disappointing experience and my group and I do not plan to come back. We plan to go to Wild Bills down the road next time we want to go to a bar with a cowboy theme and a patio. read more
