Giving 2 stars as all of the staff were friendly, inside was fine and some of the dishes were ok. The prices are reasonable. The burgers however are tasteless, dry, overcooked and blah. Locally sourced cows must be eating odd things - they were seasoned to almost not be recognized as beef. We were passing by and saw this place so we turned around and decided to try.... We were both glad we did!!! The servers were very friendly and most importantly the food was excellent!!! We started with an order of the wings with the dry rub and they were awesome! Very large wings full of flavor & cooked perfectly! Cow Patty's has successfully brought New York City prices to Wantage. I paid $20 for a burger and fries. No drink. The burger was good, although smaller than you'd expect for that price. The fries were okay. Loved the pickle. I probably will not return, but only because of the price point for a burger. read more

We were sooo excited to try this place and left disappointed. First, we were greeted by the unfriendliest hostess. She acted like we were inconveniencing her when she walked us to our table and continued to scowl at us... Then we then waited over ten minutes to be waited on. (There was only two other tables there) When our waitress finally came over she told us that no one let her know ever she had a table... The food was okay but for the price we paid I expected to be wowed. We ordered the wings, hotdogs, burgers and turkey burgers. The best thing on the menu was the mozzarella sticks, fries and shakes. However, if you are going to have shakes on your menu you might want to tell your employees to not complain about making them when customers want to order them. read more

We stopped here for lunch after looking for a car, and we can't say enough good about this place! It is small, which is generally an indicator of a good restaurant. We were seated right away and received service right away. Their menu is pretty stacked, ranging from burgers to wings. Our server, Alyssa, was so sweet and attentive. The staff all pitch in to help each other which was nice to see. Their burgers are locally sourced from a farm up the road and we're delicious. They have about 6-7 specialty burger options and additional add obs or toppings for make your own burgers, which I did. The fries were like steak fries. So good. It was a perfect amount of food- we took some fries home, but finished the burger. Anyway, I highly recommend this place for a lunch spot or on your way back from skiing. One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Terrible owner / management and food is just as bad. Tried Cow Patty's for the first time today and was excited. The restaurant is nice and clean and the wait staff was friendly enough. However, we quickly noticed that the entire restaurant was waiting an extremely long time for its food. I ordered a burger and my wife had a milk shake. I also order fried pickles. After waiting for around 30-40 min for our food, we finally said something to the waitress in a polite way. The table next to us was waiting an hour (like the rest of the restaurant). This was not the waitresses fault by any means. She had the owner come over and this is what he said. Who's table 10? You table 10, what's the problem? "We have been waiting for almost 45 minutes for our food and was just curious when it would be out." The owner proceeds to tell us that we should have expected a wait on a Sunday at 4:00-4:30 (lol) and that all meals are prepared to order and its quality food. "That's fine we said but usually you let your customers know it will be a little longer or that the food is on its way. The owner blamed the waitress and us the customer before taking any responsibility himself. The guy had an attitude like he was doing us a favor. Like I am about to eat Gods gift. Typical jersey goombah. Its quite obvious he has zero restaurant experience or customer service experience. IT DOES NOT TAKE AN HOUR TO MAKE A BURGER but if it does at least let it be good. I was so frustrated that I went to just pay for the milkshake and leave. The owner started walking out with the food so I just grabbed it and sat down and was going to eat. I took a few bites and quickly realized this company will be out of business in a few months. They only cook their burgers one temp (like 5 guys, zin, etc) which is fine. However, this burger was over an inch thick and extremely dry. It tasted like a home made burger from shoprite. The fried pickles were terrible. I asked the waitress for a to go box and told the owner I wanted to pay. Charged full price $25 for 1 hour bbq bacon burger and fried pickles and a shake. Will never go back here and will continue to tell everyone how terrible this place is. I look forward to the day the go out of business. Go to McDonalds and order the Quarter Pounder Deluxe for $11 for a full meal. The burger actually tastes like something, you get fries and a drink. Or you can pay $15 for a dry burger that takes 1 hour with a side of attitude. read more
