Wow! I went in here yesterday with my mom and met Lisa for the first time! She is a WEALTH of knowledge! I was blown away by how much she knew. I asked about some recommendations that I could take to improve my gum health and she gave me multiple recommendations (and was spot on because I had researched some a bit already). I don't live to close by but I 1000% will be coming back and supporting her business. This is why you need to support small businesses because it is not just the product you buy, it's the unbelievable support and customer service given to you to decide what would be good for your issue. Hey me again!! To write a wonderful review of this place and how I still love it after 8 years of showing my love and support to Lisa who has helped me and so many other people. To the people complaining about her No mask policy I'm sorry but you need to stop now. If you don't like it simply don't go in to her establishment. No need to bash her and her business. She has her opinion and has a right to feel the way she does just like we all do but really have some respect. I get it we are all scared and allow the media to have control over what we think and how we live, I know you want to just be safe too, so do I, but please leave her alone. She is not a "spreader", shes a genuine informative knowledgeable person. She doesn't want you to die from this virus. If she really knew it was going to be harmful she would be protecting herself and everyone because thats how much I know her. I'm not a sheep I think and find out real information for myself. Sorry to insult anyone but I will not allow anyone to disrespect her and her business because I feel that passionate about it. Protect yourself with however you feel most comfortable but it doesn't make it right for you to bully your thoughts on to other people. You are being the virus acting this way. A completely gluten-free market with lots of great specialty items, care products, some prepared foods, and sweets! Some good vegan items that are hard to find as well. They also do juices and such, which I have not tried but would like to! The staff are very friendly and helpful in giving their recommendations. Good soup too!! Just keep in mind this is a completely GLUTEN-FREE establishment, which I didn't necessarily know for sure when I first came in, so if you are not keen on GF substitutes, the prepared foods and such might be a little off putting. I heard about down to earth and their juice bar; so I decided to take a ride over and check them out. To my wonderful discovery, their juices and soups are delicious, energizing, and healing! I am an acupuncturist and herbalist so I have a holistic lifestyle; down exceeded my expectations. I returned to the store 3 days in a row to pickup a juice and nourishing homemade soup. Wonderful market with some AMAZING options! It is great having a health oriented business so close to home!! I wish there were more. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Lisa is available to chat with, on site. If for some reason she is unable to answer a question, which is rare, she will take the time to find the answer. If for some reason I need a product she doesn't carry, she will go out of her way to try and order it. Juices are made right there, are always fresh, and with tremendous variety. Lisa has a cooler full of healthy on the go meals, dairy free alternatives, organic options, local produce, frozen items, and, my favorite drink, KOMBUCHA! Down2Earth also carries supplements, vitamins, beauty and hygiene products, (green) cleaning alternatives, healthy snacks, and even pet products! I have been in down 2 a couple of times but not during covid. Went to get some soup and the owner Lisa came to ring me up then I noticed NO MASK. I asked how come and she said it wasnt required. I not really sure of the answer so I went to the village police , who are in a difficult position,they thought it was against the mandate. So I returned to down2 to speak to Lisa . She said that the mandate was "guidance". After I finish writing this review I will check on "guidance" according to ny state covid guidelines.But that isnt the point; the point is she has no respect for my health or her customers in a health food store!!! no social distancing . Its almost that she doesnt believe the virus exist ( Trump got it ; so did my sister in law) guess who lived. I asked around town and found out she doesnt wear a mask in public places. no fooling . she could be a spreader;she could get it. I guess a mask is to much to ask for you and others. I just looked up the covid gudelines and lisa doesnt seem to be adhering section 66-3.2 of the new york health dept. I will be filing a complaint read more

When Starbucks looked into expanding their menu to include fresh juice, it was rumored that they 'poached' a manger from Manhattan's Liquiteria. Since I am old enough to remember when Liquiteria was called Lucky's Juice and had only one location with what I consider to be the best fresh juice ever, I was not surprised by the idea of Starbucks hiring someone from the expanding Liquiteria chain. So, to the naysayer who complained about the pricing of juice at Down to Earth, their prices are comparable to Liquiteria. And even though Liquiteria, and just about any NYC location, benefits from far higher demand that allows them to keep prices down, I cannot see that Down to Earth prices are out of line with NYC juice bars. Moreover, after a quick on-line search to confirm my own experiences, I discovered that prices at every juice bar I could locate with an on-line menu had prices comparable to Down to Earth. Also, Down to Earth uses more expensive locally grown vegetables that simply cost more than typical places. Frankly, any person willing to give a Dunkin' Donuts a review (even with a mere 1-star), has to have their reviews taken with a grain of salt. As yet another review mentions, Down to Earth means never having to travel into Sussex County, NJ or cleaning a mess in your own (or partners) kitchen for a fresh juice. But Down to Earth is more than just a juice bar. These same folks have been selling delicious gluten-free baked goods at the nearby Farmer's Market that happen on Tuesdays in the town of Florida. When I am around during these times, grabbing and eating a cookie from Down to Earth at the Farmer's Market while strolling through the outdoor marketplace is amongst my favorite past times.....I usually grab a Ronnybrook milk as an accompaniment. I would have given Down to Earth 4-stars for not having any tables in their store, but I'll offer them one extra star for having a negative review that makes little sense to me. 5-stars. read more

Not the best fresh juice I've had. I think it would help to buy a more high end juicer. I have a better one at home and my juice tastes better. That would justify the $10 they charge for a large juice which is ridiculous. I pay less in the city and it's cold pressed. read more

Located ironically between a Dunkin Donuts and a Pizza place, Down 2 Earth has a 100% gluten free kitchen and offers a variety of quality supplements, vitamins, etc... Conveniently located one mile from my house, I no longer have to travel to New Jersey to do the "healthy living" portion of my shopping. Although I have no diet restrictions, I tried some of their store-baked items and found them surprisingly good. I had previously associated gluten-free to dry and tastless, but not after what I have tried at Down 2 Earth. I really like their tofu sandwiches and quinoa salads. I haven't tried anything from their juice bar as I juice at home, but I have experimented at home based on their juices and they gave me some great ideas for changing up my usual blends. I am glad they came to the Village of Florida! A "must try" for any health-conscious person or people on a gluten-free diet! read more

I love this store! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I often feel lost when I am in a supplement store, but that doesn't happen here. I have really appreciated all the one-on-one help that the workers have been able to give to me. If you have any health issues I would recommend stopping here before you head to your local pharmacy for a prescription. And on a side note, my children and I are obsessed with their gluten free banana bread. It's a must try! read more
