Before I even touched my food I told my girlfriend I HAVE to download yelp just to review this place. Such a cute interior and exterior modern look, very clean. The waiter was super nice and attentive, and the food came out fast which is always a bonus. Best french fries I've had in my life and my mac and cheese bowl was top tier. I highly recommend eating here, I don't care if you live in NYC or Delaware, YOU HAVE TO VISIT!! Make the trip!! read more

We love this place! My daughter who lives in TN loves a good burger and has a vegetarian finance. Everyone found something to eat here that we absolutely loved! Our vegetarian opted for the build your own burger. Veggie burger on a pretzel bun w/ pallet jack, chipotle mayo, fries, frizzled onions and avocado. He loved it! My daughter and I split an order of pierogies and the amazing bacon onion marmalade burger. They even cut it up for us from the kitchen and put it on separate plates (love the attention to detail and service) My mother daughter truly enjoyed her pineapple jalapeños burger and was in heaven. Not too much heat but just the right amount of kick. Hubby is trying to be more health conscious so he opted for the Brie & Apple turkey burger. He said it was very well seasoned and enjoyed it thoroughly. We all took a sip or two of the peanut butter shake and left happy! The service was great and we complimented the owner his beautiful flowers and decor. read more

New to the area. After coming here for dinner a few times we realized this place is very special. Decided to use them to cater the bulk of the food for our son's college graduation last Saturday. Ordered Lemon Pepper Wings, Buffalo Wings, Chicken Fingers, Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, and Cole Slaw. Food was freaking phenomenal. Everyone was raving about the food, especially all of the kids who came back for seconds, thirds, and fourth servings. It was really cool to see everyone enjoying the food so much. John (Owner) couldn't be nicer, I would highly recommend this place for catering if you want something special. read more

Cow Patty's is a fun little burger joint right off the main drag in Wantage. And I say right off because as you pull in and out of the parking "lot," you're doing so onto NJ-23. Be prepared! Inside, we were met with a kind staff and a delicious lunch. The boomin bloomin onion was a favorite for our crew, with the typical blooming onion sauce you know and love from the steak chains. What differentiated it was the thin slicing of the onions, which made it easier to just keep dipping a little bit more. The only letdown of the meal, which was a relative letdown given how solid the burgers and onion were, was the fries. They didn't have flavor, even though I got mine with Cajun seasoning and my wife got hers with a beer cheese dip. They need to punch up the salt fresh out of the fryer to really let the other seasonings shine. We actually overheard another table say the same thing after we finished our fries, so I don't think it was just a fluke order. That said, if you're nitpicking over the sides at the burger and shake place, I'd say you're going to the wrong places! This was a tasty meal and a stop I'd easily go back to if I was nearby. read more

This was an excellent experience. We will travel far and wide for a good burger, and stopped here based on the recommendations of our friends who are regulars here. This was an hour and ten minute car ride, and it was SO worth it. First, the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly. They struck up conversation with us, were appreciative of our business, and introduced us to how things work here. The decor is modern-rustic, clean, and comfortable. We didn't feel like we were in New Jersey, in a good way. I opted for the Jersey burger and my wife opted for the "build your own." Both of these massive angus burgers were incredible. They were flavorful, had a natural and authentic taste, and were loaded with toppings. My wife LOVED her milk shake. Fries were crispy, fresh, had a great taste, and were not greasy. Alligator bites were INCREDIBLE. I would take the ride just for these. Prices were incredibly fair for the amount and quality of the food. We will 100% be returning, and OFTEN! read more

This place was great and completely empty when I went on a Thursday afternoon. Everything we ordered was delicious- including a burger and chicken sandwiches. Chicken sandwich was very fresh and tasty. We finished everything on our plates! The service was friendly and quick. Would return here if we were back in the area! read more

The inside and outside of this place were beautifully styled -- it actually reminded me of Texas and an old western show. The food was hittin'! I was craving a burger with gluten-free buns, and it really hit the spot. The service from Kathy and Kimberly was excellent too! When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be visiting again. read more

Beat and clean burger joint with multiple burger combos on the menu. Nice variety between sweet and spicy. They also have multiple protein options and bun types. Starting with the food, their pulled pork is AMAZING!!! Had it with the Mac n Cheese and didn't regret it for a second. The pulled pork sandwich was equally as good and the portion sizes were GREAT!!!! Easy 10/10 rating. The Shrimp Tempura was a solid 9/10, crispy and flavorful. Wings and loaded nachos absolutely took it home, we devoured them without a second thought shortly after that picture lol 10/10. Fries were again solid 10/10, crispy, good size and plenty of flavor. The place is BYOB and drink options could be little more abundant but that's no reason to remove a star. The service was great, friendly waitress and she definitely did her rounds incase anyone needed anything. Great conversationalist with the customers and was patient with us while we looked over our options. The ambiance is a small town vibe, comfortable and relaxed. Parking lot has plenty of space from what I could tell. Definitely plan to come back to try some of the other things on the menu but for now it won us as a nice local NEED TO SEE stop in the area. read more

We used to love this place and recommend it to many friends. We hadn't been here for about a year or so and decided to stop by today. The wings and mozzarella sticks were still as good as we remembered. The burger however was not. You used to be served these amazing looking "photo" worthy pics. What we received today was about the size and quality of a fast food place. Not sure what has happened but it was definitely not the food we remembered. The pic I'm including shows what the BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger used to look like compared to what I received today. The quality of meat was also definitely not what they used to serve in the past. Very disappointed and will not be returning read more

Came out to Cow Patty's's about three months ago, forgot to write a review. Food: I ended up getting a pineapple japaleno burger because the wonderful waitress recommended it. The words that I used to explain to her: refreshing. It's a unique spicy, yet slightly sweet taste that feels like it would be a solid summer burger. Fries were awesome too. Aesthetic: I hit this place up, because it looks like a diner, and I'm all for the vibe. Very well-kept and very nice tables and chairs. Service: there was only one woman that helped me the entire time, but she was on the ball. On top of everything. read more

We stopped here to grab a Sunday lunch - 2 adults & a 2 year old. There is ample parking in front and it's right off the side of Rt. 23. We were seated right away - it was 1:30pm and not really busy. The little one got a little cup of crayons and a sheet to keep him entertained which was nice. For drinks, we ordered lemonade and root beer, apple juice for the little one. For appetizers, we got the Bloomin Onion and Fried Pickles. The onion was greasy but ok and the pickles were great - crunchy on the outside, vinegary & juicy on the inside. For mains, I ordered the California Bacon Burger that came with a side of fries, small container of cole slaw and a pickle spear. Husband got the Rodeo Burger with fries topped with the house dry rub and son got the kid's cheeseburger sliders that came with fries. The kids meal is a deal because it's a main, drink & ice cream for 1 price. Service was good and overall vibe of the spot was nice too. Probably would come back here again to try some of their desserts (we couldnt fit more food even if we tried!). read more

Love there burgers!!! Especially the rodeo burger. Service was a little slow but management.

Came with friends upon their recommendation because they live nearby and have been several times. I got the Brie and Apple Turkey burger and it was superb! The kicker was the fig purée bringing sweetness in contrast to the creamy richness of brie and crispy, tart apples. Onion rings were also on point but I wasn't sold on the coleslaw which had something in it that turned me off. COVID protocols were followed and service was kind and attentive. I would love to return and go down the burger list. read more

Best burger I have ever had. The black current Berger is excellent. Perfect balance of sweet and savory!!!!

Food is all overcooked. Had a burger & fries. Simple, what can go wrong. They wont make a burger med rare. Blamed it on the NJ health department. Only one in NJ that had that regulation. Most likely frozen food that needs defrosting. Ordered chicken wings to go. Over cooked and dry. My friend had chicken tenders. Again dry. This may be an excuse for incompetent personnel in the kitchen. Thought i had a new place for burgers. WRONG. read more

For the traveler is the outback Sussex town, Sussex county, this is a nice local stop. Very friendly service in a bar like setting for burgers. Local certified angus burgers either made your way or selections on the menu. The burger was ok. The burger tasted like it was pre-cook and just warmed up as I ordered it rare. It still came out medium. Perhaps if you ordered the burger well done, it might come out nicely charred on the outside. The fries were to die for. Very crispy, not salty, flavorful. Service was excellent. read more

I had lunch at this burger joint today and I want to note that the food was very filling and excellent. I ordered the Italian burger: bun, lettuce, mozzarella and condiments. Went there for first time after passing it many many times,I had Italian Burger,I was never asked HOW would I like it cooked. Burger was sub par and nothing exciting, marinara sauce tastes like it was feom a jar, cheese was partially not melted. My wife Gluten Free bun crumbled. Not many GF options, not even fries were GF,no otion were available for GF customers. Even waitress had NO recommendations.. Coe Slaw also tasted like it came from prepackaged container. The cashier never asked how our experience was,she was more worried about hand sanitizer burning her cut on her hand AFTER she was done making a shake. Both our food was NOT worth the cost at all. I sure do miss the DOUBLE S that was there before this place. read more

New gourmet burger place in Wantage NJ. We loved the concept of locally sourced ingredients as well supporting local businesses. We were very disappointed with the food. For the price they charge it's not worth it. $4.75 for cheese fries, $5.75 for the onion rings. My plain cheeseburger was $13.75 because I got a pretzel bun. I found the burger and bun very dry. They even forgot our shakes, we had to go back for them, and they both were no better than flavored/sweetened milk. Sorry Cow Patty's we will not be back. Such a shame. For the price the servings really should reflect the cost. read more

We have driven past Cow Patty's since it opened. Finally stopped in the other day and was so glad that we did. We were greeted with a friendly staff and seated immediately. Our server was right there with menus and to take our drink orders. Everything is locally sourced and as fresh as fresh as I have ever tasted. The burgers were juicy but not at all greasy. I decided to do the "Build Your Own" burger. Fresh patty with a fried egg and American cheese on a pretzel bun. The egg was cooked to perfection and just enough yolk to flavor the fresh beef. Served with a side of perfectly seasoned and fried potatoes and a pickle wedge. I enjoyed it like no other burger I have had. Throughout the whole meal, the bread and integrity of the burger stayed in tact until the last bite. The vanilla shake was flavorful and just thick enough to be able to drink through the large straw. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Definitely give them a try! read more
