But the second you walk in, something just clicks. It's easy -- like you've been here before in another life or like you've known this energy forever. The vibe is calm but magnetic. Not trying too hard, not putting on a show -- just honest, comfortable, and kind of intoxicating in the quietest way. You could stay for hours and still not want to leave, even after last call. That kind of place. There's a warmth that sneaks up on you -- the kind that makes you laugh more than you thought you would. Makes you say things you didn't plan to say. Makes you wonder how something so easy can also feel so rare. I don't know what kind of magic they've got going on here, but it's working. Trust me -- this place stays with you. Vinny is the best

I love that they give you a list at the beginning so you know the wines that you are tasting and where they come from. I also like that you can get small bottles of some of the wines if you are not sure if you'd like it and can mix and match 6 for $19.99. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you are unsure of anything.

But he ended up taking me thru Cincinnati and right under I-75 and there it was. It was sitting next to another divey liquor store, and I asked if we should compare prices. He said no, because DEP's has great customer service. Customer service in a dive liquor store? We'll see. Well folks, there's a reason a cheap liquor store has 5 stars. Customer service was fantastic, prices are cheap, it's clean. Yes...a clean liquor store. You read that right! And they have everything you need. I even found a Nicole Miller designer fur wine gift bag for $9. And I found all my favorite Texas vodkas. You can't buy Mr. Eddy in Ohio for some reason. So long Dick's. I'm not gonna miss you.

DEP'S - I have a question for you...how in THE H-E-C-K do you keep your prices so low?…read more For starters I love how DEP'S makes it easy to make decisions. Everything is laid out by type: Whiskey, Bourbon, Tequila, Vodka, Domestics, Craft, Red Wine, Sparkling. I love that everything is right there in that section and there is no hunting anything down or cross pollination in there. A++ for the discount 2 for $10 section of wine! Yes, meaning each bottle is $5. These rotate in and out and I just had to know how they sell these for so cheap because I have seen some of these brands at other stores for full price. I asked and they simply said, the seller wants to get rid of it, sell through it for a new season etc. If that's the case not sure why this doesn't happen everywhere - but I LOVE it. Especially for parties it's nice to grab a huge variety of affordable wine for everyone. Another thing, I drink champagne, cava, sparkling most of the time and a brand I love and usually bring to parties is around $12.99. I have never seen this brand fluctuate a CENT anywhere else. I came here the other day and it was $8.73 or something odd. WHAT!!! Huge win for me. You may not snag the SAME deal every time, but when you're shopping at DEP'S you will feel like you are getting a deal with almost everything you get. I'm officially a loyal convert and will drive out of my way to go here now. P.S. it's conveniently located right off the highway and has a nice parking lot with tons of parking for a quick run in and out.

Pictures do not do this place justice…read more It will likely be the biggest alcohol mecca you've ever shopped in. The only place I've ever found that comes close are the largest of Chicago's Binny's, and even then, Party Source was bigger. It's huge. It's (literally) right over the Cincinnati/Kentucky river and is legally Kentucky, so it has a wider selection than Ohio's controlled liquor laws, BUT the price can occasionally be higher here as well. They're employee-owned, though, so if it comes between buying something at Wal-mart or here....I know what I'm doing. They have a wide selection (though they don't always have everything we're looking for), and there are very rarely any stock holes. I can always check online to see if they have something - though the prices in-store are usually lower than the prices they list online. Whether they have an item (or not) has always matched up with their online listings, though. Their big claim to fame are their events. Their "free tastings!" events were some of the largest I've ever been to. They also have a small section full of party supplies (tableclothes, etc.). I'd guess they must sell enough of it, or they'd have swapped it out to more alcohol selections instead. They have a gigantic wine selection. Their beer selection is solid and even has a full aisle of single cans for tasting things. They tend to get huge seasonal offerings, too, if you're someone who likes limited releases. They have a few entire aisles of THC beverages and a whole rotunda of mini bottles. Their liquor selection is good (though I'd say the liquor-to-liquor selection comparison is on-par with some of the larger Binny's). An impressive selection of cocktail supplies, too, like bitters. This is, by far, my favorite place to shop during the holidays for all of those bottle gift sets. They carry a HUGE selection.
