Of course it's a coin laundromat, but no need to worry if you don't have coin & don't make a trip to your bank to buy a roll of quarters. They have a very spiffy change machine that never rejects one of your crumbled up dollar bills. It never runs out of quarters & it's never out of service. If you are anything like me, who rarely carry cash. No worries, the machines accept your debit & credit cards. Their machines are second to none & you won't be waiting on an available machine regardless of the day or the time. Now for my confusion. They have washing machines that will accommodate 30+ pounds of laundry. I thought to myself, who in the world has 30lbs of dirty laundry & who waits until they have 30+ lbs of dirty laundry before they choose to do their laundry. Apparently many people do. I saw women wheeling their enormous amounts of laundry in their children's wagons. Then I was amazed with these powerhouse women & sometimes men. They are friendly & they are helpful. Who needs help at the laundromat? Me. Possibly anyone who's never been to a laundromat. This place is very clean & so are the restrooms. There are plenty of fast food joints, a Dollar Tree & Kroger all in the same strip mall. They have a TV, tables & chairs that are all very clean. I almost forgot to mention that if you are a newby & don't even think about bringing your own laundry basket do not worry. They have clean, heavy duty laundry carts on wheels so that you can transfer your clean laundry from the washer to the dryer without worrying about dropping it on the floor, but if you do accidentally drop something you don't have to worry. Even the floors are continually cleaned. How do I know this? I accidentally spilled my laundry detergent. As I stepped aside to get some of their provided paper towels, they were on the spot cleaning my spill before I could. Don't worry about bringing your children with you or worrying about someone stealing your clothes. It's safe. It's like a village that takes care of not only themselves, but also their neighbors. To finish my story, I got a new washer/dryer set, but I thought to myself that I will be back without sadness or confusion. I have a King size bed & a king size dog that sleeps in my bed. I have king size comforters that will probably do better in a commercial laundry washer & dryer. I also, for the first time, bought a 8x11' area rug that's machine washable. Remember that king size dog that I mentioned? He's a 100lb Golden Doodle named Oscar. He's a big boy with big muddy paws & I'll eventually be bringing my new washable area rug to the Speedy Wash Coin Laundry to use one of their 30lb capacity washers. Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure they also have 50lb capacity commercial washers too. Perhaps that's the one I'll use. Does anyone have a wagon that I could borrow? Don't don't forget The Speedy Wash Coin Laundry is a community & I have no doubt that someone would actually let me borrow theirs.

Upon arrival I found a clean well appointed business that was welcoming and pleasant to spend time in! I was able to do my own laundry in a short amount of time with no issues. I will return when I'm in town and need to do laundry.

Looks like it was recently renovated with new flooring, paint and washing machines. They have 6 Huge dryers at .25 cents for 4 minutes. They have 7 washing machines the smallest one is 3 load capacity for $3.75 (25 min). The larger one is 5 loads for $5.50. They also accept credit cards in the washing machines which is convenient. The soap dispenser machine is $1, however they dont sell dryer sheets so you may need to bring that yourself. Free wifi here and a little table to sit on while waiting. Super cute place, but I didnt see any bathrooms available. Ample parking on the street and about 1 mile from downtown Cincy.

I relied on either family or the general apt building community washer/dryers to do the trick, and they have. In fact, I found quickly after going here that I was one lucky duck for having a washer/dryer in my former apt building. Early in October of 2010, my boyfriend and I moved to a new apartment which promised us available washer/dryer. Unfortunately they took a while to make good on their word, so we had to use backup methods for laundry for a while. After some research (aka Google), we headed to a nearby laundromat to do a few loads of laundry. Plain and simple, I did not enjoy doing my laundry here. I'm not sure how this fares compared to other laundromats, but I was not ecstatic about this location. When we entered, we saw a variety of washers. Some were clearly old and defunct, but some were bigger and kept in better shape. As we began to figure out the wash, some kind patrons informed us that the washer we were about to put money in did not work. TIP: Tape on the washer/dryer means it does not work. Unfortunately not all broken machines have tape on them, so it's a total gamble. We were saved by this nice tip from other customers. A few people came in and out to do laundry while we were there. The biggest machines in the center of the room are the best ones to use for washing; the dryers are hit-and-miss in terms of functional units. The entire place was a bit grungy and not very well kept. A man came in while we were there to buy some detergent - he put his money in the dispenser on the wall and found it was not working. He had no way to report this issue and get his money back, so we loaned him some. I was glad we'd brought supplies, as it's apparent that this place steals many a poor unknowing patron's money. I will not be likely to visit here again unless absolutely necessary - and I'll be sure to try out other locations before returning here.

In fact it was very bright and clean and the machines were very and efficient. I wouldn't say the cost was more or less than I expected. I can see how it would add up. I was lucky enough to know about the Washing Well already, so I hauled my clothes across town to check it out. I was definitely pleased with my experience. In addition to being newer and cleaner than the laundromats from my college days, the prices are also very reasonable. I do appreciate that they always have an attendant on duty to help, since I couldn't figure out the machines on my own at first. The space is a little small, but the days I went were pretty warm so I hung out in the outdoor garden area while my laundry finished up. Overall, I would totally go back if I were in need of a laundromat again!
