I attended Findlay Market's "Sweet and Savory Stroll," one of the tasting events they do every…read moreyear. This year it was a combo of Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras -- so as you strolled through the Findlay Market complex, you could sample either savory Cajun-inspired dishes, or dessert-themed dishes. You had 2 choices for tickets, either 8 tickets or (I believe) 20 tickets for a higher price. I went with the maximum amount this time, so that I could just impulsively select the samples in front of me without having to ration out my choices. And strongly recommend this method -- it's a great way to throw yourself into the event and to donate to a great organization. And the gourmet made-from-scratch delicacies didn't disappoint. My top fives favorites were: the "Velvety Smooth Beef Burgundy" from Eckerlin meats -- a flavorful stew with fork-tender beef chunks in it, the "Mini Elote" street corn cob (actually half a cob, thus the "mini" part of the name), with a flavorful authentic sauce on top, the "Hogs & Kisses Baby Back Ribs" from Neil Luken Meats -- a huge chunk of ribs (he said he gave me a larger piece than usual to compensate for giving me the butt end of the rack, which I heartily appreciated), the Gumbo from Barlion's Seafood & Poultry, as the broth was amazing, and I loved the ample chunks of Andouille sausage popping up in the stew, and the "Muffaletta Sandwich Bites" from Harmony Plant Fare. Other favorites of mine were the "Bourbon Street Chicken with White Rice" from Artichoke (they had run out of the dish so we had to wait 5-10 minutes until they could make more -- it was worth the wait, as the chicken was plump and flavorful), the "Cocoa Smoothie topped with Strawberry" from the Banasun Smoothie Bar," which was refreshing and perfectly spiced, and the "chocolate Covered Bacon" from Ruby's Chocolates, which had caramel mixed into the chocolate and bacon (and, BTW, the bacon was from Eckerlin Meats, one of their neighbors). All of this, combined with great weather, a band playing jazz, great service, and Findlay Market's wonderful "street fair" atmosphere. Who could ask for more?

I recently stopped here when me and my wife were in town in cincinnati. I've been to Cincinnati…read moretons of times but I've never visited the Findlay Market. This place was better than most of the Markets that I've been to in recent memory! Some of them are bigger but this one is a medium-sized Market to say the least. They have great produce in one section by the parking. Great variety of stores. I do like the outdoor tables as well. The cons I will say about the Findlay Market are the parking. You are expected to download an app and pay for parking that way instead of just getting a QR code that will redirect you and put in your payment information and the other con is once you leave the Farmers Market there really isn't much to really see or do since it's kind of blighted from a 1 block radius of leaving the market

It's always cool to come with the husband and kids and enjoy family time and the summer weather. Most vendors also have samples for you to try. It's definitely family friendly and a good place to spend time walking around enjoying life, family, other people and the true essence of a farmers market - the products. My only complaint is I would like to see a few more different vendors. They have a lot of produce vendors who all mainly sell the same types of veggies, fruits and herbs. I get that it's a farmers market but some more different type of vendors (other than produce - i.e. dessert, body products, ice cream, etc.) would be a nice addition or change.

I was able to move freely about and explore the possibilities of my purchase at the various stands. I purchased eggplant and squash, cheese and pimento spread. It was all delicious when I prepared it at home. Had I planned better, I could have had a pint or 2 of MadTree beer when I was done shopping. Maybe next time.

I'll start: our biggest…read morecomplaint over the winter was not the cold, not the darkness that comes at 5pm, no, our biggest complaint was that our beloved farmer's market was rightfully closed for the winter, and between November and April we had to buy bread not from the Findlay Market's famous Blue Oven Bakery, but from other random places (none of which compared, we made a mission of it). We had to buy produce not from the stalls of local farmers filled with fresh produce at a great price that encouraged us to venture out, no, we had to get it at Kroger. And fresh flowers from a sweet woman who runs Jaybird Farms and makes beautiful wreaths out of dry flowers, no, I had to get those at the grocery store too. Ridiculous complaints, I know, but I don't care. The Loveland Farmer's market is awesome. There's an eclectic mix of vendors from all over Southwestern Ohio. Produce, bread, baked goods, tea, coffee, knife sharpening - it's got it. Most vendors accept cards and there's a great system in place for those who don't that is cheaper and easier than getting money out from an ATM. Plus, you get to walk around licking a Street Pops popsicle which makes it all the better.

During the start of the 2020 season is what put me over the top with 5 stars. They were determined to start the market as best they could. They set it up so it was pre-order online, and drive thru contactless pickup. While this limited some of the vendors available, as not all have that kind of technology, they did the best they could to continue with safety. I took full advantage of this and was very pleased with how it went. Now that things are opening back up they are again doing a walk up market, but still with the option to pre-order and pickup. The vendors are quality and all very passionate about their products. They really have everything from produce, meats, eggs, dairy, plants, cheesecake, pastas, bath products, bread and baked goods and so much more! Some of my favorite vendors are Blue Oven, Five One Three Bagel, TS Farms, and Jaybird farms. Check it out whatever way you can! The website and social media stays updated for what vendors will be attending!
