Did not enjoy my experience here. The restaurant is marketed horrible and is not at all what we…read morewere expecting. The food was cold when is was suppose to be hot and wlity when it was suppose to be crisp. The staff was not well trained and mostly young kids, the manager is the owners daughter and not a good manager at all, certainly the wrong job position for her personality as she has no people skills and obviously unable to handle her temper when confronted on under cooked food. I never raise my voice nor fight, I also ensure I always tell managers whenever there has be wonder service, food and/or experience since then do not hear nearly enough positive but this is one case that it wouldn't matter if I yelled or spoke softly the manager was on defence from the moment she heard my food was still frozen. Overall a horrible experience slightly compensated after I physically searched down the owner of the businesses by going to the garden shop and requesting to speak with her directly.

They didn't charge us for the crab cakes, but got irritated with us when we brought up the salad size issue. Service was friendly but inexperienced. She didn't know the menu well, and forgot to bring basics like sugar for coffee and waters.

Date Night Win! 10/10 Would Drive from Calgary Again!…read more So, my boyfriend and I escaped the city of Calgary for a much needed date night and ended up in the charming little "old town" of Okotoks. This is all thanks to the powers of TikTok and a very convincing For You Page that I stumbled upon. That's how we found Heartland Café, and honestly? It was giving romantic fairytale meets historical church vibes. Gorgeous interior, stained glass, cozy lighting... I wish I, "we", dressed a littles more fancy than the table we sat at! To start, I sipped on a crisp glass of Chardonnay (chef's kiss), while he channeled his inner Don Draper with a whiskey sour. We kicked things off with the oven-baked brie and beet purée. Was it amazing? Yes. Were we also starving? Absolutely. But I stand by it, it was creamy, melty, and just what our hungry souls needed. P.S. you can ask for more bread ;) we surely did. For mains, I had the pecan-crusted chicken which was a beautiful, crunchy masterpiece. Also moist, very moist. He went for the duck gnocchi, which he described as "super rich", right before devouring the entire thing like a man possessed. No crumbs, zero! Then came the blackberry orange panna cotta. I'm still emotionally recovering from how good it was. If you go, just trust me: don't share it. I made that mistake. Regret. Deep, delicious regret. Another thing we loved? The relaxed, European-style pace of the whole evening. We were never rushed, seating to paying was about an hour and a half, and it gave us that rare gift: quality time. Just me, the love of my life, great drinks, and food. Shout out to all the servers and chefs! Heartland Café is a hidden gem. Romantic, cozy, delicious--and 100% worth the drive from Calgary. We'll definitely be back. With two panna cottas. Minimum.

I love that they have lists of health benefits explaining what pollen can help with, also there is another product I forgot the name has numerous health benefits!! They have free wine sampling which was awesome, but you can put some $$ towards a fundraiser they have for their samples they offer great idea!! We loved most of the wines! They also have guys that make the wine called meaders! They have tours as well for school groups, and probably adults too if you ask!! I love it here and will be back for sure!!

They also have different flavours anf kinds of honey that were all superb, they even had chocolate honey! We purchased mead and wine from them before, which were quite sweet, but were great dessert beverages. On our recent visit we bought some creamy unpasteurized honey, hand salve, honey lip chap, mini soap, and bath bomb. The honey is great, just love how creamy it is. The hand salve is amazing, it works great with my fiance's extremely dry hands and I just love the honey mint fragrance it has. The lip chap is great as well, it would be better if it actually tasted like honey, but it's still superb. Both the mini soap and bath bomb were both amazing as well, the soap we bought uses Saskatoon berries and smells really fruity (which we love). We didn't get to do the bee tour since we had other appointments, but we definitely recommend visiting the shop for all your honey cravings!
