Delicious. I especially liked the caper berries.

Who doesn't love wine and charcuterie? I know I do, even better all of Covert Farms wines are organic. A working farm with 600 acres of grapes, fruit and vegetables with outstanding wines and a tasty charcuterie platter, unpretentious ambience, witty and cleaver staff in stunning rustic setting, what more could one want. Great food and wine. We will be back for sure.

This is my favourite place to stop for fresh fruit and veggies while in Osoyoos. The family who…read moreruns the shop is always around to give you advice about picking out the best peaches, pears or apples. They also have a selection of canned goods, fruit syrups and other local delights. Most of the fruit under their roof was grown by a member of the family, too! This used to be the location of the only banana farm in all of Canada. But, sadly, when Joe Fernandes died the bananas went with him. His children continue to run the fruit stand and greenhouses on the property.

You know how good fresh corn tastes?…read more Sorry, that was a trick question. You may *think* you know how good fresh corn tastes, but you don't really know...unless you have had same-day fresh corn from Fernandes Fruit. Their late July crop is so unbelievably sweet and crisp and in every way the exact thing that an ear of corn would want to be that all the other corn should just give up, already. And you'll find a lot more than just corn: peppers, amazing cukes, peaches, apricots, berries...plus an array of local pickles, jams and pies. The locally made pies are EXCELLENT...as were all the veggies and most of the fruit, though the peaches, tomatoes and cherries were just okay and not mind-blowing. Overall, an excellent array of produce, much of it fresh from the field...all you need for a great salad, and if you're feeling veggie-centric, a delicious dinner!

It seems this farm is catering more to those that just want a small market experience. My family…read morehave used this U-pick for years, but this year the prices were very expensive. $104.00 for a flat and a half of peaches and 1 cucumber that was 4 in long was $1.67 -. I sent an email to the farm with no response. I do not recommend this to some one who would like to preserve, they seem to be more interested in the tourist boutique experience.

We ve discovered this farm & market many years ago when we saw their cute cartoon sign on the side…read moreof the highway. Turn in when their products are in season & youve entered fruit & veggie heaven!. They sell fruit & veg in their fruit stand but its also a you pick. In the summer its just bustling w people: customers, workers, family, children & animals. Its quite a happy atmosphere. The fruits & vegetables are top quality w minimal spray. U pick is also fun. It wont take long & your bucket will be full of goodness. The prices are also the best. U pick is a little less than already picked but compared to the supermarket in the city well theres just no comparison. Whatever is in season the city supermarket has tiny imported low quality product compared to what you get fresh off a tree or out of their rows & rows of vegetables. Red Russian garlic in the city if you can find it cost $3 or more a stem. Here its 99¢ / lb for example. Yes factor in gas fr Vancouver & its costly but its a wonderful field trip for us. Oh dont forget protect yourself fr mosquitoes when you come.
