We stopped by the cab sauv grapes and tasted a few right off the vine, while learning about the history of the property. Our next stop was the blackberry and strawberry bushes where we were given a to-go box to fill with these sweet, organic, off-the-vine treats. And, lastly, the tour ended with a charcuterie board-paired with wine. We tried 9 kinds of wine and really enjoyed them all! This should be on everyone's list of things to do while in Oliver, BC!

This place has humerous and happy staff along with incredibly reasonable prices. You will find fruit, veggies, canned goods, baked items, and ice-cream! We decided to have a small treat before supper and asked for a jr. cone for $1.50 and she was not shy about piling that ice-cream mountain high! It was delicious! They also have a customer washroom, play area outside for children, and a cute little goat named Jimmy who waits for you to sneak him some fresh grass through the cage. U pick is a little less than already picked but compared to the supermarket in the city well theres just no comparison. Whatever is in season the city supermarket has tiny imported low quality product compared to what you get fresh off a tree or out of their rows & rows of vegetables. Red Russian garlic in the city if you can find it cost $3 or more a stem. Here its 99¢ / lb for example. Yes factor in gas fr Vancouver & its costly but its a wonderful field trip for us. Oh dont forget protect yourself fr mosquitoes when you come.

Their late July crop is so unbelievably sweet and crisp and in every way the exact thing that an ear of corn would want to be that all the other corn should just give up, already. And you'll find a lot more than just corn: peppers, amazing cukes, peaches, apricots, berries...plus an array of local pickles, jams and pies. The locally made pies are EXCELLENT...as were all the veggies and most of the fruit, though the peaches, tomatoes and cherries were just okay and not mind-blowing. Overall, an excellent array of produce, much of it fresh from the field...all you need for a great salad, and if you're feeling veggie-centric, a delicious dinner!

But if you do decide to get fresh and local produce then you must visit them. This is a family run business that grows organic and local and they always have nice surprises like baby zucchini and squash flowers and berries that the other stands don't have. and what makes them my favourite place is not because there is this connection we feel we have. It's the buttered corn. Hahaha yes . Well, that and they're great people. My mom loves this stand too. Sure the other places have lots to offer, but when you get to meet the people here at Parsons and see and hear their passion behind their farming. You'll understand why we keep coming back when we're in town. A family tradition we've kept over the years.

This year in Aug 2014 we stopped and picked up 60 lbs of freshly picked tree ripened peaches (still firm but ready in 2 days), 10 lbs of red plums, and a bunch of huge yellow and green cucumbers. The veggies were delicious, and peaches and plums are juicy and sweet. Overall for organic we found the prices excellent, and Laine provided us with outstanding service. Highly recommended.
