We were the only two who had signed up for the tour, so were given a real personalized treatment, which was extra special. The tour started out on the back of Gene Covert's truck and though it was a cold day, it was bearable... And even more so when we got to meet the herd of beautiful llamas on the property. We stopped by the cab sauv grapes and tasted a few right off the vine, while learning about the history of the property. Our next stop was the blackberry and strawberry bushes where we were given a to-go box to fill with these sweet, organic, off-the-vine treats. And, lastly, the tour ended with a charcuterie board-paired with wine. We tried 9 kinds of wine and really enjoyed them all! This should be on everyone's list of things to do while in Oliver, BC!

I sent an email to the farm with no response. I do not recommend this to some one who would like to preserve, they seem to be more interested in the tourist boutique experience.

It wont take long & your bucket will be full of goodness. The prices are also the best. U pick is a little less than already picked but compared to the supermarket in the city well theres just no comparison. Whatever is in season the city supermarket has tiny imported low quality product compared to what you get fresh off a tree or out of their rows & rows of vegetables. Red Russian garlic in the city if you can find it cost $3 or more a stem. Here its 99¢ / lb for example. Yes factor in gas fr Vancouver & its costly but its a wonderful field trip for us. Oh dont forget protect yourself fr mosquitoes when you come.

This place has humerous and happy staff along with incredibly reasonable prices. You will find fruit, veggies, canned goods, baked items, and ice-cream! We decided to have a small treat before supper and asked for a jr. cone for $1.50 and she was not shy about piling that ice-cream mountain high! It was delicious! They also have a customer washroom, play area outside for children, and a cute little goat named Jimmy who waits for you to sneak him some fresh grass through the cage. We have been coming to the HGOFM every year for 3 years now to get fresh organic fruit in the…read moresummer. They mainly provide wholesale suppliers but do have produce for retail sales. This year in Aug 2014 we stopped and picked up 60 lbs of freshly picked tree ripened peaches (still firm but ready in 2 days), 10 lbs of red plums, and a bunch of huge yellow and green cucumbers. The veggies were delicious, and peaches and plums are juicy and sweet. Overall for organic we found the prices excellent, and Laine provided us with outstanding service. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a natural peach slushie while sitting in a swing seat and watched another family pick there own corn to buy directly from the growing stalks.
