Ohhh...beneath the trees where nobody sees, Covert Cafe will hide and seek as long as they please 'cause finding them is certainly no piiiiiiicnic. (Did you sing along? No? Just me? Ok.) Lol well lemme start by saying I felt compelled to review this lil joint out of its sheer adorable nature without being adorable at all. Think the soup Nazi from Seinfeld sized building and just as busy and plain decor with really nice staff set on the Prairie ala Little House with The Real Housewives of Sunnybrook Farm and local construction workers as regulars and we've set our scene. Covert is RIGHT because you would pass the house looking appearance bout 15 times before you realize your gps isn't drunk, you just have trust issues. It was right, after all. As it sits adjacent to Vint Hill winery and has the prettiest countryside/farms for neighbors. I can't lie, my ovaries are all twitchy surrounded by huge homes and white picket fences that your mom told you to marry that doctor and move into & have lots of kids in. The area is picturesque even in winter. Now...my camera on my phone committed suicide so I will try to be as descriptive as possible while not boring you to effin sleep. Honestly this is my first time here and I can only eat so much, so shouldn't be long. Immediately the CYCLOPS burger jumped out at me. Look, you put an over medium egg on anything and I'll probably eat it. And this burger just gets everything right. Thick medium rare patty that you know they made themselves, b/l/t and whatever you may add, I didn't add anything else and melted American/cheddar cheese...perfecto. Gotta love that first bite where the yolk explodes and your fingers are a mess and you know...you're winning! It came with thick crinkle fries and a can of whatever soda you choose all for 10 bux aaaaand I'm leaving not overly stuffed but "just right" full. The proportion is perfect to grub and go back to work without the itis. They serve breakfast all day (mainly sandwiches) and well all the food is pretty much sandwiches, burgers soups and sweets. They have a clear wheelhouse and they do it well. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try for that burger alone, I promise it's worth the Google Earth tour you go on finding the place lol. 5/5 suburban noms! read more

Stopped On way our to Myrtle Beach, it's deFinetly out of the way but Cuban sandwich was great. Their chicken poblano soup was good buT not very my much chicken in it. The MEditerrean wrap was huge and tasty. Lots of customers came anD went while we were there. read more

OVER ONE HOUR to get 2 cheeseburgers to go. Told me it would be 30 minutes. Only kids working here on a Saturday. More customers here than normal obviously and they weren't prepared. Completely overwhelmed. Heard one of the kids on the phone, presumably to the owner, her mother, and the conversation wasn't not pleasant. Rough crowd. Mother showed up but wasn't doing anything. My cheeseburger was raw in the middle and was not as ordered. Other burger was cooked sufficiently. Probably won't return. Left generous gratuity for the kids working but they learned a lesson today. This wasn't a breathtaking kind of place and I don't think it is intended to be. However, it is a nice, solid place to eat a meal. The workers are friendly and the food is decent and wouldn't mind eating here regularly if I were local. read more

We went to trivia night at Old Bust Head. If you call in your order they will walk it over to your table. Food was delivered quickly and hot. The tortilla soup was delicious. First time at Covert Cafe. I was looking for a good breakfast place, particularly for a good breakfast burrito. I moved from California a few years back and haven't been able to find a good breakfast burrito place, but my luck has finally turned!! The burrito was awesome! Tasted amazing... I may order two next time! I would love to try a version with chili in it... I'm going to ask if they have some to add next time. The manager was very friendly. Overall a positive experience. had a fun evening at old bust head brewery with my wife last night and enjoyed covert cafe for dinner. it was a short walk across the parking lot to order our food and they conveniently deliver to the brewery, right to your table. we had a delicious reuben and a turkey avocado BLT, both with fries. i recommend both! thanks for a great experience! read more

I was disappointed with Covert Cafe but maybe because the reviews were so good. Had the breakfast burrito with sausage and there is just too much potatoes and not enough sausage or eggs. My mom got the cyclops burger and they forgot the bacon and it also only had one patty but I read other reviews that said theirs came with 2. Service was decent but the people who ordered after us got their food before we did. I liked the fries and the potato salad was OK. read more

The Covert Cafe is very convenient being so close to work. They have good food combinations But lately they have been skimming on the meat in sandwiches. It is always a hit of miss if you will get enough meat in your sandwiches. Sometimes you don't even taste the meat, just the cheese and bread. read more

We visited the Covert Cafe recently for lunch. It was actually not too hard to find since there were lots of signs. My husband and I tried the breakfast burrito and the decoy burger. I don't get the great reviews. Very average, unappealing location with overpriced food. A sandwich (curry chicken salad - good flavor, but small and VERY skimpy on chicken, runny, and tasted mostly of bread), an average chef salad and a can of Diet Coke = $17.75. Service was ok, but nothing very welcoming or too friendly about it. And the prices are not posted - now I know why. Just not worth it, really, imho. read more

I have never had a meal I didn't like from covert. My personal favorite is the breakfast burrito. I've actually never had any breakfast burrito quite like it. Covert is a usual lunch spot for me as my work and Covert are both in Vint Hill. The environment is awesome and comfortable. Everyone knows each other and are super friendly. The food is cheap, but delicious. They have a burger for only like $7 that also comes with fries--- it's soooooo good. I hate the covert cafe's hours however. It's so annoying. They close at 3 pm and aren't open on Sunday's. They could make so much money if they were open even just an hour later. When I do get the chance to eat there I always love the food. The owner is also kind of rude sometimes because of his dry humor. read more
