My wife and I had the hot turkey sandwich, it would have been really good if the strung out waitress didn't have them put beef gravy on it. She asked us if we wanted brown or white gravy, no place ever asks that, you assume your getting turkey gravy. We said we wanted turkey gravy and she said they don't have that only brown or white. She insisted they always put brown on it. I've had it there before and that's not true. This girl was bouncing off the walls like she was going 1000 miles an hour. Really ruined our dinners. Tale of two visits: first time service was quick and food was great. The enormous cinnamon roll was particularly tasty. Second time we were waiting about 30 minutes for scrambled eggs, toast, and bacons and just had to leave. They had not started making it yet when I asked to pay for coffee and tea. I've been going to the covered bridge with my family for as long as I can remeber it's a really small reasturaunt with good food and cheap pricing. It's a good place to go with friends and family or even by yourself or with a date. It is very personal and very cute. The food is fresh and fantastic, esspecially for the price you pay. I would suggest going for breakfast or lunch. They only accept cash but have an ATM available for your conviniance. read more

Well I've never really given a bad review to a restaurant but I can't help but give the Covered Bridge one star. Maybe I could've gave them more stars had they brought me the food I ordered it was a complete waste of one hour waiting to get a breakfast. When we sat down today March 25 the waitress told us just so you know we're very busy and the kitchen is taking a while to get the food out we said no problem. Who would've ever thought that two eggs hashbrowns toast and bacon would take over one hour certainly not me or the other people that ended up getting up and walking out. Unbelievable that you could have three waitresses working the front of the restaurant that serves about maybe 40 people at the most at a time and I guess maybe one person in the kitchen it was a complete joke. Do not go there if there's more than two tables full when you walk in this place. They cannot handle it! It's just mind-boggling aggravates me because I sat for an hour and had to leave and go to my meeting that lasted three hours hungry. read more

A great little restaurant especially for breakfast. It can get crowded with many senior citizens. The portions are large and food is good. If you go at lunchtime it can be a wait as they only have 1-2 waitresses. The coffee is good but coffee mugs very small so you'll get refills frequently. The place has 100's of covered bridges pictures and postcards.....thus its name. Highly recommended and you wont be disappointed. read more

My family and I have ate here a few times. The place is very small inside so I wouldn't recommend it for a large group. The food is very cheap so it is definitely affordable. I wasn't blown away by the food when we've eaten hear but it wasn't awful by any means. read more

Sitting in this family-friendly cafe your eyes are drawn to the myriad pieces of art covering the walls - all of them depicting a covered bridge of one sort or another, as painting, photo and art plate renderings. Hence the name. This is a neighborhood sit down. The food is nothing spectacular, but it is good. This is where you go for an inexpensive, filling, tasty meal when you just don't feel like cooking. This outing was for breakfast, where there are early bird specials (until 11am daily) that take their more-than-reasonable prices even lower. As one of the specials was for scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries and toast, I ordered mine with bacon - then added a side of sausage patties (links also available). Though it states two eggs, it seemed like three. They are not stingy with the bacon and the patties are the typical size. The rye toast was very good and came to the table already buttered (which I prefer). All-in-all, a pleasant and inexpensive breakfast, topped with coffee and water, which the waitress never get below half-full (which is appreciated). read more

I had a Crispy Chicken breakfast here and later Shepard's Pie. The Crispy Chicken was probably about what you'd expect but I didn't care for the Shepard's Pie at all. There was a lot of it, and it was cooked well, but as much as I was looking forward to it, it was bland. No veggies in it, and brown gravy on a mountain of potatoes. The other dishes served to my party looked good and everyone liked them but I was pretty disappointed. I gave it the three stars because everyone else liked what they had. read more

Nice little local diner. Cash only and the prices are so low I'd rate it half a dollar sign if I could. The food is average breakfast and lunch stuff. Nothing on the menu that seemed unique and caught my eye. They do basic stuff and they do it pretty well. Service was just OK, the waitress was over tasked and the place was crowded. This was by far my favorite place to eat on our vacation. The prices are unbeatable and the service is excellent. My husband and I enjoyed splitting our dishes as this let us try a bit of everything. "The Bridge" is a huge portion and can be split between two people. The homemade cinnamon rolls are divine and best ordered earlier in the morning. Quaint little Diner next to my hotel.I stopped in for breakfast before hitting the Beach. Loved the old "Americana" Décor, My server was awesome and the food, OMG, I thought I was at my Granmas house again. All this for under 10 bucks!!! Had excellent service. Ordered Shepherds Pie which I'd had before and loved it. This time it was just ground beef and potatoes on top, no vegetables at all. Had a cup of chili as an appetizer and it was really really good. Their prices are great and I've had other things there that are really good so I would recommend this place to anyone. Just hope they change their shepherds pie, because it was excellent before. read more

Well, Sunday 10:45 AM opened the door full house, no where to stand except at the door. No one said Hi or it won't be long. Bad feeling at that point, should have left. A table became available near the rest rooms, we stood there waiting 10 mimutes or so before a waitress finally cleaned the table. Other than the tables are 2 ft apart and the chairs are for grade school kids there we were. Quick to take our drink order I notice no one really eating. Lots of drinks on the tables. No food appeared to be coming out of the kitchen. The coffee was as burnt as I've ever tasted. She took our order, breakfast not real tough. I commented no one is eating, seems like the only cook prepared 1 ticket at a time. After 15 minutes I needed to go to bathroom. Yuck, the urinal had a plastic plant in front of it. Need I say more, gross! I really wanted to leave, no good and NO sense of ergency on any ones part. 35 minutes later breakfast came, I asked her if this was a typical wait time and her reply was yes. However they were going into busy season and was going to hire an additional cook. To me totally unaccectible! I told her that, she kinda agreed, the bill was $9.69, to cheap, food was fair but after a total of 50 minute wait I was over it. Honestly McDonald's would have been better. I left her a 50% tip $5.00 God help those people as I will never be back! read more

Great food. Quick and friendly service. Very popular among locals and tourists. The parking lot is almost always full on the weekends. So arrive early if you don't want to wait. The "spicy bowl" is my favorite item on the menu, but if you're really hungry and want a variety of items, order "The Bridge". You won't be disappointed. 45 minutes after ordering our food it arrived at the table. The restaurant was not full and I can see why. The bacon on one breakfast was requested well done but was barely cooked and the well done hamburger ordered was brought still pink. The waitress said she was sorry but they may have rushed our meal out. If a 45 minute wait for the food was rushing I would hate to see how long it generally takes.
