Oh my God it was absolutely amazing. So delicious and flavorful. Our other favorite is the shrimp burger. It is so delicious. This is such a great restaurant - one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal after spending the day on the beach. Food is phenomenal! You can't go wrong... amazing food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Love this restaurant

It was a sunny, warm day and we sat outside under an umbrella, though there wasn't much shade coverage. The overall vibe is a casual, waterfront fish shack--laid-back and lively. We started with the stone crabs. While the crab itself was great, the mustard sauce was a little too mayo-forward for our taste and wasn't our favorite. For my entrée, I had the hogfish special served over sweet potato mash with green beans. The hogfish was fresh and delicious, but the sides missed the mark--the green beans were overcooked and the mash was a bit watery and lacked consistency. My husband and daughter both ordered the whole fried fish (yellowtail snapper that day), and they both said it was perfect and absolutely delicious. The fries were good, and while the red beans and rice were just okay, my husband really enjoyed the zucchini and tomato side. Service by Olivia was spectacular--attentive, kind, and always on top of everything we needed. We come back here every time we're in the area. My takeaway: come for the fresh fish and great service, not the sides.

Some places feed your stomach... and some quietly take care of your spirit too. Oxbow Bar & Grill…read morebecame that kind of place for my family this past Sunday. We gathered there after my dad's funeral -- a day filled with emotion, memories, and the kind of silence that only family understands. Sitting by the river, watching the water move while the sun softened across the sky, felt like a gentle reminder that life keeps flowing even when our hearts feel heavy. The food was genuinely excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and served in a way that let us relax instead of rush. But what made the experience stand out was the atmosphere. Open views, a calm waterfront breeze, and a space that allowed laughter, reflection, and connection all at the same table. Sometimes you don't just choose a restaurant -- you choose a moment. And this place gave us a peaceful one when we needed it most. If you're looking for a riverside spot in Fort Myers where good food meets meaningful atmosphere, Oxbow Bar & Grill is worth the visit. For us, it wasn't just a meal... it became part of a memory. -- OnDaRoof

Food and location look beautiful but there's clearly no adults in charge that can act in a professional manner. Sad with such a good location . This must be why they seem to never be very busy. Makes sense now but very disappointing. In addition our waitress Corrine had very poor hygiene and could be off putting for future guest outside of her demeanor.

Great spot in Fort Myers for family dinner!…read more Our server Austin was great and the ambiance was nice, live music on Saturday night is always a vibe. I tried the shrimp scampi and Tuna Tutaki off the summer deal menu Tuna Tutaki is the same size as if you ordered it off the regular menu, same as the scampi huge portion. We also ordered the Grouper Oscar which was delicious if we're being picky it could of had more sauce. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their skinny margarita and that's just based off my flavor preference. For dessert The Tower Carrot Cake is equivalent to 3 or 4 big slices, definitely shareable. The Famous Key Lime pie was also amazing but not shareable, it's smaller and so good you'll want it all to yourself! Cheers!

They were backed so we still had to wait for a table but it was a holiday so I don't really hold that against them, just noting. Do note that most parking is valet (complimentary). My husband and I split oysters and the Captains Platter. Captains Platter was tasty but for $40+ - I think they could've given a larger portion of at least the veggie sides. Restaurants who skimp on these always blow my mind, Brussels sprouts are so cheap! What we did have was just ok. Sprouts were soggy and bitter, only a few scallops, but the fish was good. I actually liked the plantains a lot! Our server was fabulous and we did need some help from one of the managers who was also great. It is quite a loud restaurant but again it was packed. Overall, I just wasn't excited about anything we had, and thought the prices were high for the quality. With all the seafood in this area, it would be hard to return here.
