I am particularly partial to Taylor as she is my stylist, however, I feel confident telling you to choose any of the stylists at The Legacy Salon with whom you feel comfortable, and book your appointment. Taylor is passionate about hair: everything hair-color, cut, care...you name it. My complimentary consultation with Taylor was the perfect question and answer session for both of us. Her questions are intuitive, and it is clear that she is listening. As it turns out, the color process that I wanted for my hair would have been quite uncomplimentary when considering my hair texture, my skin tone. Taylor explained 'why,' and provided fabulous suggestions that were completely satisfying. I like my natural brown color BUT with grey coming in, I thought I needed to go with grey-blending. I didn't want to-I don't like the way it looks on me. NOT ONE OTHER stylist in NC bothered to tell me (or even knew for that matter), WHY that was not a look for me. Finally, thanks to Taylor, now I knew. She is a plethora of information about hair color. She absolutely knows what she is talking about. Now, let's talk about haircuts! I watched other stylists at Legacy and Taylor recently cut my hair. Taylor and her stylists KNOW how to cut hair! After spending almost 2 years in NC searching for a salon that does superb color and cuts, I have found it. The other places I've been to have no clue what they are doing. I walked into my house after a simple conditioner treatment and blow dry and my family could not believe how healthy my hair looked. A week later after color and cut, my husband remarked that Taylor is without a doubt in first place for my hair. She joins a small but incredibly well regarded group of colorists/stylists: AJA (Bumble & Bumble, NYC), Charles Slider (Thunder Salon, Philadelphia...an ALLURE MAGAZINE BEST STYLIST), and Fatima (Faina Hair Salon, Sterling, VA...A Northern Virginia BEST STYLIST winner multiple times). When I say that Taylor knows her business, believe me. Next, I cannot imagine you will ever walk into a salon that will instantly make you feel as welcome and comfortable as The Legacy Salon. Nick is there behind the reception desk and is also providing services at the shampoo sink, etc., and he is so comfortable to talk to! Literally 5 minutes after meeting Taylor and Nick, I felt like I had known them forever. That alone is such a great experience especially after frequenting salons that have no clue about client relations to say nothing about hair color and cut. All that to say, if while you are sitting in your stylist's chair, and he or she is busy making TikTok videos, giggling like a school girl at another client's expense, and generally ignoring you, head for the door and never go back! I am almost one week post color and cut by Taylor at The Legacy Salon. All of my boxes regarding hair needs are checked. Last but not least, the fees at The Legacy Salon are reasonable, and a breath of fresh air when compared to the exorbitant fees charged at other salons. Additionally, the level of color and cut expertise is absolutely top-notch here. I researched for months and made my appointment, and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend this salon.

She puts so much love and attention into the cut and makes me feel like a million bucks. I barely even have to brush it. Bed head is something wonderful and glorious, after Ashley has been in your hair. Flawless. I have had short hair a few times over the past 20 years. I am always a little reluctant, because long hair is sexy and becoming. HOWEVER, I have come to one great realization: when your hair is short, it gives someone the perfect opportunity to kiss the back of your neck.

I checked the website and got the correct number and called and no one picked up. So I decided to walk into the salon today, since this place is within walking distance of where I live. No one greeted me initially for a couple minutes. I knew it was a small chance that I was going to get an appointment today, but asked. Instead of saying no and offering other time slots I was told they are by appointment only and to check down the road at the other salons. For a location that is not on the main part of downtown and charges $55 for a hair cut, I assumed you would get excellent service. I only decided to wrote this in hopes the owner will correct the problem as I would love this area to continue growing. Everybody is busy, but a service salon is only as good as its service.
