The quality of care at this facility has slipped since the last time my mom stayed here; there…read moreseems to be a particular lack of adequate nursing staff on weekends. Everywhere around this facility are posted signs reading, "Call, Don't Fall!" and verbiage urging patients to use the call button if they need help. But on a recent weekend my mother needed help in the restroom and was left to fend for herself for over an hour, despite pressing the call button repeatedly. (Apparently the nurse just forgot about her.) While I was there, I noticed the only effective way to get a staff member's attention was not to press the call button, but to walk to the nurse's station and ask for something in person. That's not a valid option for most of the patients at this facility who are less than fully ambulatory. My mother is also developing a bedsore on her heel. The staff treated it immediately when we pointed it out to them, but better quality care and frequent skin checks might have ensured that the bedsore never formed in the first place. The positives: rooms are spacious, comfortable and usually cleaned once a day (less so on the weekends) and the kitchen is staffed by a dietitian who is able to accommodate special diets, such as diabetic, renal, celiac, etc. There's a physical therapy room, a salon which takes appointments on Wednesdays, various enrichment activities and an LDS church service on Sunday mornings. But if your loved one needs careful, regular monitoring and quick response times from staff, this may not be the best choice of rehab center.

The physical therapy at Stonehenge was just awesome, and very comprehensive for my elderly mother…read more Many of the nurses were caring and awesome too! However, one shower nurse was very unkind to my mother! She made my mother's stay there and her recovery absolutely miserable! My mother was also treated very badly by the facility leadership. So I have mixed feelings about Stonhendge. And like I said, some of the nurses and physical therapists were just absolute angels to my mom. But some of the staff, including an extremely mean nurse, ruined the whole experience for my mother there. I don't understand why extremely cruel people like this nurse become CNA's? There's so many other (less stressful) occupations out there where you don't have to take your bad attitude out on vulnerable elderly people! WHY?

She went on to a residential rehab and is doing great. It is a very nice hospital. She learned a lot about herself and gained skills to stay healthy. They did an excellent job. Thank you. We will be forever grateful. P.S. many of the reviews below are for a school with the similar name not this hospital.

My experience was absolutely heartbreaking. I should not have been admitted here. My state was very manic and they didn't have the staff, security, or means to take someone in my condition. They should've denied me in the first place instead of trying to put me on medication that I'd already been on. Medication did not work previously three times before so why would it magically work in this stage? The fact that they injected me with Haldol, Ativan, and Benadryl made matters worse. One of the good parts about my stay was the music therapist. He was kind and doing his job correctly. I've had friends work here when it was Provo Canyon and Aspen Grove. Both had bad experiences too. Of course there will always be opposition in all things and someone may walk away with a good experience. That is wonderful if that was you, but unfortunately I have heard majority experiences at Provo Canyon/Aspen Grove that have left clients and workers traumatize. Please consider another place to stay. If someone wants to contact me from Aspen Grove directly please do, although everytime I leave a review it either gets reviewed or they say to reach out on their page, but they never respond to me. Hence I have decided to take matters into my own hands. It may take several years but please read below if you get anything out of my review. If you are interested in the class action lawsuit against Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital/Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital before and after the name change please feel free to reach out on my instagram (see handle below) Highly recommend not going to this place for treatment. Much better places like Huntsman in SLC or New Roads in Provo for a longer/safer treatment. Life is worth living. Instagram: @Dajolleyman

It is a lovely and welcoming place and the residents are happy and engaged in friendships and activities. My mother loved her meals, especially the daily homemade soups and pastries. We are so grateful for the director of nursing that not only helped my mother but helped me navigate this time in my mother's life. Care was exceptional. Staff was kind and thoughtful. Loved the facility and activities that were offered. It felt like a second family from the executive direction on down. I highly recommend Spring Gardens of Lindon.

My parents lived in assisted living at Spring Gardens for just five months. My initial impression…read morewas that it was a beautiful, clean, friendly place with caring, dedicated staff. The receptionists quickly learned my name and always greeted me warmly when I came. The kitchen and cleaning staffs were amazing - always cheerful and kind to the residents and their guests The c.n.a.s and med. techs were attentive and patient with my aging parents. There were many fun activities and outings, and the food was usually quite good. (I especially enjoyed the salad bar.) I appreciated that meals were available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m - very accommodating. I was also very impressed with the various entertainment, especially during the Christmas holiday. Mom thoroughly enjoyed the Valentines dance in February! Beyond all of that, the thing I loved most at Spring Gardens was the wonderful residents who warmly welcomed my parents and took the time to get to know them and befriend them! As the weeks went on and my parents began to settle in, I started to notice some areas which had room for improvement. Services we had signed up and paid for were not always being done, and/or my parents would be charged for services, like laundry, that we did not sign up for. There was also a LOT of pressure from administrators to change my parents' primary caregivers to the in-house medical staff. Though convenient, it quickly became an obvious conflict of interest. Another concern was the staff's lack of training on "redirecting" residents with dementia. (Mom has Alzheimer's.) One staff member told me that when there was training offered, very few staff attended. (Why wasn't such training mandatory?) When it came time to move Mom to memory care, my family spent several hours, on different days, in the Spring Gardens memory care unit observing the way the residents were cared for. I found the atmosphere very different from assisted living. Of course a great deal of that had to do with the diminished cognitive abilities of the sweet residents there, but even more so was the stark difference in lighting, furnishings, layout, and activities. There was minimal natural light and the common area was small and cramped. Residents were almost always found sitting in front of a t.v. Rarely did we see them engaged in activities. The unit always felt understaffed and lacking. The bottom line. If your loved one does not have dementia, then Spring Gardens is a lovely place to live, though not perfect. However, if your loved one needs, or will soon need, the additional attention of memory care, I suggest looking elsewhere.
