She worked with our son in person during peak pandemic years (masked up social distance life) and helped him with huge breakthroughs in his 5 year old consonant delays. We knew exactly who to contact when we realized our 6 year old daughter's "r's" weren't quite coming in yet (and Ryanne years before had shared with us that r's should naturally develop around age 5) Now that we live an ocean away from her, our consult and care for our daughter the last 2 months has all been via ZOOM, but honestly the care and progress with our daughter has been even more streamlined and accelerated through Ryanne's professional guidance and plan. Visits have been once a week for 30 min via zoom and our daughter LOVES them. It's been beautiful to see how Ryanne's ability to connect and bond with our kid via a screen is just as genuine as when she was in person working with our son. They chat for a few minutes, do some focused practice with various "R" sounds in different positions in words, then our daughter's favorite part: some reward games at the end virtually, but still practicing "r's" along the way. Ryanne created a folder with practice sheets that I printed out and we colored and worked on at home. Within a month we could hear our daughter easily finding the "r" sound at the beginning of words, and now two months in we are hearing her find r's within her entire vocabulary. We are so grateful to Ryanne, would recommend her to anyone, and will absolutely reach out to her if our third kid shows any potential need for speech therapy along the way.

The Nurse call button system... hmm...Imagine needing a brief change but pressing the nurse call…read morebutton only works half the time? Mom's button is like that. I once taped the cable into the wall plug to provide a possibly better connection. A few days later I saw that my tape was removed. Fire hazard was their excuse. So it went back to working only 50% of the time. Now think about having to sleep in your own pee or BM because you can't get in touch with the "available" evening shift nurses to give you a change... The evening nurses even keep mom awake sometimes, because of their loud laughing and talking. She says it sounds like they're having a party or something. That makes it hard/impossible to get some sleep. Then Mom and I had an argument about going to their "morning exercise" to at least try to get some movement/exercise of her legs, feet, arms & hands. Not being self-motivated about doing it, we both got angry, then upset at each other ... During this argument, I left rather than escalating the situation. That made mom upset and sad. In pops SANDI from Ann Pearl's social services department. She was so anxious about hearing mom's story about what happened. SANDI was even more excited to alert mom's POA (her "daughter" who lives in Florida). In hindsight, Mom even admits she was an extremely bad choice to serve as POA. SANDI just made things worse. Now Mom's "daughter" has extra "ammunition" to use against me in court after mom passes. Rather than an even 50/50 split of mom's will, I'm being taken to court in an effort to acquire my 50% share, leaving me with nothing. This is the person who makes no effort to help or visit, and is waiting for that final day. But she's POA, while I'm walking there twice a day to visit mom and keep her spirits up. Thanks SANDI. So remember folks, don't consider this place as a potential retirement facility. Undependable nurses and dangerous social services to provide help. Crappy physical fitness and little to no effort in trying to rehabilitate the patients... I really hope my review really makes you forget about this place. Never mind about 1 Star... a ZERO STAR rating should be allowed... especially for places like this.

He had been through so many adversities, but always made it through like a trooper. Thanks to prayers, he has always got better and came home after rehabilitation. Just this time, he's weaker, older and probably can't be as independent as previous years. My dad was here several years ago for rehabilitation and felt comfortable here. I was so relieved he was here again at this facility. Sometimes beds were not available at the facility of your choice when leaving the hospital. It's an older 104 bed skilled nursing facility, but has a more of a homely feel. The workers and residents were really caring which was helpful for my dad in getting acclimated to a new home away from home. It was a convenient place for us, since it was closer to home with many free available parking. We were so grateful for in-person visits or window visits during the Covid Pandemic. Visitations were so important for our love ones to be able to see their families. Anyone would rather be at home with their love ones, but he knew my mom can't take care of him anymore especially if he can't walk much and he needs the help of a facility. He had no complaints but sometimes he felt like burden. The facility does their own laundry so it helped from having your clothing article lost. You can also take home the laundry and do it yourself. My dad always looked forward to his meals and they seemed to offer many variety of ethnic foods. I appreciate all the staff help, my dad's friendship with residents, activities like bingos, programs, karaoke & more. Good thing he loves to color pictures. Coloring has been keeping my dad going with a purpose. He seemed to be in good health and at the end of the 2021, thank you to Ann Pearl's staff for all you do for all your residents especially during this Covid pandemic! Love this one stop shop facility for kids! Staff are kind, free parking, and they have a cafeteria…read more Never knew Shriners specialized in orthopedic care for kids and are able to handle sports injuries. Check Facebook for hours. Also, best to call to make sure you can get pre-registered prior to arrival. They are open on weekends and a lot of business is done for walk-ins rather than by appointment. After a panicked emergency we were told to head to Shriners and they open at 7am. We called ahead to pre-register so when we got there most of the paperwork was completed. After a short wait we were taken to a room for a chat with a nurse so they could understand the injury. Then we were escorted out to get X-rays which is cool because everything is kids sized. Then we say another medical practitioner for an assessment. Then sent to another area for a fitting. It's great...like I said...everything is kid's sized! This is such a wonderful facility with super nice staff. Made a scary situation very pleasant.

Despite fully disclosing his moderate-stage Alzheimer's symptoms, including restlessness and sleep disturbances, we were given notice less than two weeks after moving him in , that we would need to find a different home for him in the next 30 days. We question whether he was given adequate time by Hale Ku'ike Bayside to adjust to his new environment. Please know that Hale Kūʻike is selective in the Alzheimer's behaviors it's willing to handle. The unexpected discharge, and having to move our Dad a second time, was an emotional challenge for our family.

Everyone on the team is super helpful and knowledgeable. They even fit me in when all other Oahu locations were booked solid. I came here a total of 3 times, the initial visit, a refitting and again today to request extra Velcro. I feel like such a burden for having to ask for adjustments or supplies, but the staff is so caring and accommodating. They really take pride in their work, the splints are custom and do the job (I got a follow up Xray today) Thank you for all you do and keep up the amazing service! Mahalo!!

After emergency surgery, a plate, seven screws, and two months in a cast, the range of motion in my wrist was less than 5 degrees. I attended appointments with a few therapists and they are all exceptional, but Eva was my main provider. She was awesome! No, rehab did not always feel enjoyable, but that is why Eva is a great therapist! She makes sure to do what is best for you and your recovery, even if, sometimes, it is not pleasant. It is easy to skip the painful exercises/methods when you are rehabbing on your own, but Eva will make you eat your vegetables. She will do what is necessary for you to heal safely, but quickly as well! I gained about 5-10 degrees range of motion each session. She also has an amazing wingman to keep the voyage towards recovery as comfortable as possible. His name is Max and he is the sweetest pup. He will spend most of your appointment by your side making sure you're okay and asking for pets. Even if my arm wasn't healing so fast the session would be worth it just to hang out with him! He, unironically, helped my recovery a ton! Thanks to her and Max, I have resumed golfing and will shortly return to the rest of the sports I have been on a 7-month hiatus from. Cannot thank Eva, Max, and HH&RS enough! Make the best decision for yourself and choose HH&RS!

My mother took a tumble recently and Kuakini Hospital had placed her at Hale Nani for her rehab…read more My mother was happy with their care except for the food. The 3rd Floor staff was really nice and super kind to my mother. She enjoyed being around them. My biggest gripe is their office staff. Really super bad communication. I would call and leave messages on their voice mail and they would never return my calls. One day I was so frustrated that when I did finally get to speak to someone in a particular department I had asked why do they not return phone calls when messages are left. I was basically blown off and told I don't know. I was pretty stunned about their shear lack of accountability. They would often tell me that they called but I never answered. I would check my phone and I had zero missed calls from them because they never called. Personally, I can't stand them. It was frustrating. My mother was finally discharged yesterday morning. How I found out was through an email Thursday afternoon at 4:45pm that said "We were not able to get in touch with you but wanted to let you know that your mother will be discharged tomorrow." I was so happy to get her out of there so I would not have to deal with that horrible office staff and grouchy people that open the door. I would give them a big fat 0 stars because of their horrible office staff. My mom said 4 but their food is really a 1. So we went with 3 stars.

Instead we were called in the evening that he had passed. Cause of death--aspiration!!! It is a drab and depressing place and unfortunately he was placed there from Queen's since St. Francis was full.
