I've come to this candy shop so many times that I've visited pod town and almost never bought anything. A lot of stuff is really over priced and the service is sort of strange. It's just one of those little gimmick stores they have here in old town, they do make fresh salt water taffy as you enter the front door. This place is really little and can get extremely packed as well.

Fun Candy Shop for Kids & Adults! They have every kind of candy you can think of and fresh made fudge and taffy! Yum!

I love that they dress in character and there are so many varieties of old and new candy. I could have gotten one of each out of the chocolate cabinet. Around the shop there were several scoopers where you could dive in and help yourself to some really tasty treats. I thought the prices were very reasonable and I loved the blast from the past. I will definitely stop by!

Homemade honeycomb candy....what more can I say either than it's even covered in milk or dark chocolate! Talk about a treat of silky chocolate poured over a toffee crisp texture that melts in your mouth. Wow! How can you beat the enjoyable smells inside a candy shop plus have friendly, courteous service. I'll be back!

Really busy... always a line... to get in and to check out.... and if you can't find what your looking for in sweets then you are having a real issue..... Fudge... taffy... penny candy... a variety of everything you can think of.... It's fun to watch them make the taffy... Staff is friendly and they work hard to get you checked out...

This is an old fashion candy shop in Old Town San Diego. There is a wide variety of packaged candies and bulk candies sold by the ounce. Very friendly and helpful staff -- we were looking for a specific candy, asked one of the staff, and she found it for us. I also picked up some clove candy sticks, which I haven't seen since I was a kid.

Date of visit: October 17, 2021 "Sugar Ah, honey, honey You are my candy girl And you got me wanting you..." - "Sugar, Sugar," The Archies We were playing tourist at Old Town a couple of weekends ago, and my brother had told us about a candy store in the region called Cousin's. As that perked my interest (and my lady's, as she never met a dessert or candy she didn't like), we decided to check it out. For those of you into the sweet stuff, you will not be disappointed! Cousin's carries a with variety of treats, both manufactured (like Jelly Belly jelly beans and rare candies from around the US) and homemade (like their salt water taffy - which you can see the shop workers making behind the counter - and the various chocolates and fudge). Bring your wallet, because all this goodness comes at a price... and I ain't just talking about the pounds you'll be putting on either! Due to COVID restrictions, though, they only allow ten customers at a time inside - which makes for some long lines waiting outdoors. (The line isn't exactly marked, leading unwary visitors to skip ahead to the front door, only to get shooed out shortly after.) Still, with as good as their salt water taffy, coconut haystacks, and chocolate honeycombs are, I may have to make more visits on the way home from work!

The candy is good. It's just kind of expensive. If you're sensitive to sugar, beware of the chocolate, a lot of them are LOADED with sugar.

They have a great variety to choose from, whether you're into milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or even non dairy options. I also love that they offer chocolate drinks and coffee, so it's easy to turn a quick stop into a little treat moment. I tried the peanut butter dates and they were so good. Smooth, rich, and just the right size when you want something sweet without going overboard. I also had a dark chocolate truffle and that one was just as good. You can really taste the quality. Customer service was a highlight. The guy helping me was super personable, gave great suggestions for drinks, and was genuinely kind, which always makes the experience better. Honestly, I'm just happy I found a chocolate spot within walking distance. Definitely worth stopping by if you're craving something sweet but still want it to feel a little elevated.

I sampled chocolate from Peru, Madagascar, and Kenya, and they all had unique fruity characteristics. Because they're vegan, so they use oat milk for their chocolate instead of dairy. My wife and I also wanted some drinks while we were here. I had a hot chocolate. My wife had hers with espresso shots. Good espresso in pure chocolate will never not be good. They are family owned and they only add chocolate, sugar, and oat milk to make their bars. Overall, this was a fun place to check out at Little Italy, and they also had a stall at the Farmer's Market.
