    Taffyyyyy!

Such a great old fashioned addition to the classic Ocean Beach strip! Small and nostalgic and includes a wall of decorated dog cookies(fits the theme of the area) The Jelly Belly wall and taffy bins really makes all the difference. There are some old classics like candy cigarettes lol and a wall of variety of candies. Grab a bag and load it up! I got some peanut brittle as well for my dad, so good! MUST stop by!

Wandered in randomly while cruising to the beach and it was a great stop! The woman working was super friendly. Great selection of candy and chocolate! We got a wipe out bar, a s'mores cup, and a toffee truffle and all were delicious! If we come down to OB again we will be back

Love this place! It's so cute inside and my kid gets so excited coming here! I had the salted caramel chocolate and it's to die for! The people seem good, very efficient service.

This is always a must go when I'm over in ocean beach and you can see from my pic as to why. The chocolate covered Oreos come with multiple designs I also got a couple with iridescent daisies but this one with the face cracks me up. I love the selection of dog treats and human treats. Always fresh and fun such nostalgia when I see things like chocolate covered honey comb in the dessert box! If you are visiting San Diego and are in ocean beach I highly suggest visiting beach sweets. You won't be disappointed! *also I highly suggest this place for souvenirs my family loves getting sweets when I come home to visit! Yummy!

Wandered in here on accident and now it's a must every time we're near Ocean Beach. Where else can you get a bag of delicious homemade chocolates for less than $10 in California? The ladies who are always there are truly the nicest. It's hard to pick a favorite but the dark pecan toffee, the mint truffles, the dark raspberry truffles, and chocolate bark.. incredible. They have other candies too but you really can't beat the handmade, homemade chocolates. Everyone should try this cute little spot.

I wandered onto Beach Sweets as I was strolling down to the boardwalk, and because chocolate is life, I had to stop in. The front door is solid wood, and without real door handles. It almost feels like one is intruding on someone. Don't despair, break on through, as yumminess awaits! This intimate sweet shop is quaint and welcoming. The shelves are filled with some nostalgic candy like pop rocks, gum cigarettes etc. The glass counter is filled with yummy chocolates. You'll want one of each. I loved the choices, and the uniqueness of each chocolate. Chocolate covered butter butter cookies?! Yes, please! Chocolate covered caramels with added spice? Yes!! Honeycomb chocolate... yes, heaven can be found here. There is plenty to select from, and buying one piece or more is perfectly acceptable. You're not made to feel like you need to buy mass quantities. The customer service is great. They are pleasant, and happy to answer questions, and even make suggestions. I asked about so many of the unique chocolates, that I think they were more entertained than I was. It's a great store, and you'll miss out by not stopping in.

    Shark dog cookie!

He likes it, that's all that matters to me! Besides the great service & free tasty smells you get when walking in. Awesome spot here in OB!

Lots of candy options!!! Would not recommend chocolate covered bacon.... haha. Tried it the first time and was not a fan. The sea salt caramel chocolates were delicious. Giving it one less star because the employee working was extremely unfriendly when I walked in and I felt he should have been nicer. But I will be back!

    Treat for me

Candy store along the Ocean Beach business district. Nice selection of candy here. I usually the treat with peanut butter and marshmallow. I don't recall the name if it, but it's good. I also like to buy some treats for my dog. Cool little shop and I usually get friendly service from the employees.

This is my favorite little splurge spot in OB. For YEARS I've come here for one thing and one thing only!!!... The dark chocolate covered Oreos!!! I like to get two (they're big)...one to eat right then and there and the other to put in the fridge or freezer...YUM!! This last time that I went, I also got a chocolate covered Nutter Butter which was pretty good (Oreo was still waay better). I asked the man working what he would suggest...and he pointed to a peanut butter rice crispy block! They just cut you a piece and sell it by weight...a small piece was about $2.50 but IT WAS WORTH IT. It wasn't really like a rice crispy treat, it was more like gooey light peanut butter whipped fudge that had a little rice crispys in it. It was so good. So from now on when I go there, it's the dark chocolate covered Oreo and that PB crispy thing for sure!!! I got a total of 3 CD Oreos, 1 CD Nutter Butter and that PB crispy thing and it was just under $14...not cheap, but not super expensive either. Many years ago they told me that they didn't make them there and that they actually didn't make any of the chocolate, but this last visit, the man working said that they do make it in house. If that's true than its a major plus for me, but either way I'd still come back! Located on Santa Monica Ave in the heart of OB!! Parking isn't too bad during the fall/winter months. I walk so it's never been an issue for me. There is a small parking lot next door but I'm not sure if it's for them or a neighboring business. I'll pay attention next time I'm there and update my review!

    Dog sweets too!

A great place to satisfy your craving for sweets, but an even better spot to buy a treat for your pooch after a romp at nearby dog beach. Fun ocean themed shapes, made with dog friendly ingredients. Price range $3-7 each. We're coming back to buy our dog a Johnnie Dog Walker treat when he turns three (21 in dog years). Good assortment of human chocolates, novelty candies, fudge... Some made at the store and some not. Not the cheapest place to buy candy, but not at all unreasonable given the beach location. Conveniently located on Ocean Beach's main drag, the shop has been in business for nine years good reason.

Indiv. chocolate are priced by weight. All of this was around $2.

Cute little shop with unique treats like chocolate-covered jalapenos and chili peppers, cayenne chocolates, and red pepper flake sea salt caramels in addition to the standards like Jelly Bellys, nostalgic candies, and salt water taffy. The woman who was there tonight was super personable and sweet... helpful with recommending chocolates. Good for a browse and a sweet treat to eat :). The jalapeno was INCREDIBLY SPICY -- and it barely had any seeds... beware. The chocolate shell with a bit of oil from being on the pepper was hot enough. Red pepper flake caramel was great. Awesome flavor combo!

The decor and setting is cute and quirky, including cow sculptures hanging upside down from the ceiling. There were only a couple other visitors when we arrived, as it was near opening time. Our dishes took a whopping 35 minutes to be ready, and service was not very friendly nor helpful. Luckily, the music playing through the speakers added a nice vibe to the place, songs like Our House by Madness and Can't Fight This Feeling. We ordered the brunch pizza (with eggs cooked overeasy) and the breakfast flatbread which looked almost identical when served, as well as an iced mocha. The quality of the pizza was pretty average, and the eggs were slightly overcooked. The drink was really good, made fresh, with a smooth taste and a nice sweetness to it, the plastic cup coated in chocolate sauce. It tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee, which I personally enjoyed. They typically serve gelato here, but it would not be ready till almost two hours after opening time. So no milkshakes or cold desserts were available in the morning this past Sunday (no worries, Ghirardelli is just a block away). I appreciate the variety of menu items offered here. But they really should communicate online that their gelato's not ready till two hours into the day. If there's one thing that irks me about an establishment, it's failure to communicate appropriately. Even though our recent visit was somewhat disappointing, I still gave 3 stars, assuming this was an off day for them.
