Cousin Vinny's Pizza is awesome, cheap, and fast. I like the pizza better than any other pizza place around Kettering and Centerville. Open ridiculously late until 4AM. And they deliver fast. Large Deluxe is best. For value and goodness, you can't go wrong with Cousin Vinny's.

Monster Pizza My…read moredear wife reminds me that we have not had pizza since before Thanksgiving. Never ever purchase frozen cardboard pizza, and given years of exploring area pizzas, we have a Top Three pizza favorites. The downtown Bellbrook pizza does not open until 4:00PM, and the nearby Chicago style pizza place is relocating to Clyo Road. Monster Pizza has merited our business for years. We received 14" of snow on Sunday, and driveway is cleared on Tuesday. I love winter, snow, and cold, but not ice. Roads are clear on Wednesday. January 25, 2026 offered the delights and challenges of early winter snow and ice storms. Mother Nature is Impressive; loved the fourteen inches of powder snow in January. Ron's Viking and Norman blood welcomed the enchantments of a northern winter. January 25, 2026 witnessed a national and South West Ohio major snow event of 14" and zero temperatures for a week or longer. This Grand Nature event reminded Ron of epic Ski Resort visits in New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Whistler, Snowshoe,.... Given the thrill of skiing, the low temperature and deep snow are welcome. From age 12, I regularly installed sawdust tires on family cars; I was a huge fan of studded tires, and now insist on AWD. The short drive to Doubleday's was uneventful, and there were few drivers on the road. Doubleday's offers an excellent pizza, and my wife prefers the Voodoo Veggie with tomato sauce and regular crust. She is not disappointed with this pizza. The parking at Doubleday's is snow cleared, and the young lady delivering the pizza to the car is enthusiastic and excellent - she merits an additional tip.

We got take out from Doubleday's over the weekend, and unfortunately had a lackluster experience…read moreyet again. We placed an order for four people that included a fish sandwich, malibu melt, buffalo chicken quesadilla and the boss italian flatbread. They usually bring take out orders to your car, but did not have that available the day we ordered so we were told to pick up the food at the bar. The only problem was, they didn't have the bar staffed and we ended up standing awkwardly at the corner of the bar waiting for someone to acknowledge us, which took far too long and most other employees would make eye contact and then look away as if it wasn't there job to assist us. Strike 1. After about 5 minutes somebody came out of the kitchen asking if we had a take out order, then she heads back to grab it and we went on our way. However, when we got home and unpackaged the food, we were missing an entire entree (the italian flatbread). Strike 2. I called to inform them of the problem and that I would be back shortly to pick it up. When I arrived, it was about another 5 minutes of waiting at the bar before being acknowledged. This was becoming infuriating. Eventually, I got the flatbread and headed back home to my family who had already eaten their food. The most frustrating part of this ordeal was that I never received even a simple "Sorry about that" from anyone at Doubleday's. Strike 3. Since Doubleday's branding is rooted in baseball themes, I'm sure they'll understand that my experience was literally three strikes, and now they're out -- I won't be returning.

Geez Grill & Pub…read more This "not so Italian sports bar" is very popular in Washington Township; we visit Dorothy Lane Market several times per week and observe the Geez Grill & Pub parking lot to be very busy. We have history of dining at both Geez locations. This newer location has proven to be a winner for Geez Grill & Pub. The eclectic menu offers several food choices, including wings, which are anathema to us. Somewhat difficult to place Geez Grill & Pub in the Italian column, although the meatballs are a clear winner. We recommend adding an order of the Giallombardo family meatballs to any meal. Lots of folks and families like this popular location, and the building has hosted a variety of failed restaurants. Today's lunch groups involve several large round tables of friends. Geez Grill & Pub is an attractive setting for geriatric groups. For the New Year, our Senior Tennis Athletes from Five Seasons and now Quail Run has reserved a very large table. Bill, thanks for the arrangements. Terri, thanks for pulling this off. Our Senior Tennis Athletes order from all over the menu. A large menu is not necessarily a "good thing." Clear winners: Reuben and French Dip. The service is exceptional and merits 20% tips. Ambience is modern sports bar with some noise. Very little Italian to order from, and I have an interest cod filet today. Wishing Cod Au Gratin were offered, but this dish is beyond the reach of the kitchen. We recommend Bonefish Grill for Cod Au Gratin. Oh, today's special is pot roast - very light on the roast, and heavy on the root veggies - an average rendering of this dish; guess they forgot the seasonings. There are a few Italians at the table, and they all avoid the Italian dishes. My dear wife who was raised in her nonna's and her mother's kitchen is a champion Italian Cook and I agree with her viewpoint that there is much better Italian at home. She has a generations old special sauce, and we both are quite addicted to her home cooking. Clearly it is the delight of the company of Our Senior Tennis Athletes today that greatly enhances our dining experience. Very pleased to see that all of these friends are healthy and energetic for New Year, and thanks to Geez Grill & Pub for hosting us, and providing several options for our group. Caveat: always a reservation. Geez Grill is full by 12:20 PM. Geez Grill & Pub is a decent setting for senior citizen, and lots more parking than in previous location.

The Classic Smash Burger consists of two all beef patties on a sesame seed bun. The burger was cooked very well, was cheesy and very flavorful! The fries were seasoned well and are shoestring style. They were good. Not too oily and very plentiful. The chipotle ketchup was okay but not really what I was expecting. It is a bit spicy, perhaps too much to my liking, but I am sure many people would enjoy it. Everything was carefully placed in a nice cardboard box lined with brown paper and sealed. The order itself was placed in a brown paper bag. I do recommend. Food is good, plentiful, and a decent value compared to other chain type restaurants! I would go again as they have a pretty decent selection of food and this experience was good. Recommended!

The restaurant is located in a strip mall area off of Stroop road. It's near the Vapor Haus vape shop and the Speedway gas station that sits at the corner of Stroop and Marshall Rd. If you pass that Speedway, you've gone too far. Inside, the restaurant has a typical sports bar vibe. It's well lit, clean but nothing spectacular. The menu does offer a variety of choices. Service is really good. We were seated fast and orders were taken shortly afterwards. I got the fish and chips. The deep fried fish was good but average in my opinion. The fries were tasty. It satisfied my hunger but it was just average to me. My girlfriend got the chili bowl with jalapeño cornbread. She liked it but again felt it was average fare. The portions are pretty big but bigger doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I will probably try again but I think the burgers are a better option than the fish and chips. There was a decent sized crowd here, so TJ Chumps is doing something right. I'd like to try some of their other menu choices. I recommend. The service is good and the wait crew enthusiastic.
