I've not had their pizza, but I like their breadsticks with garlic sauce. I give 4 stars only because the breadsticks can be inconsistent. Sometimes really soft; other times I've had them, they are too crunchy. Food is always ready super fast and comes hot when ordered from DoorDash. Price is a bit much for what you get, in my opinion. read more

Ordered a bunch of food and asked to use the restroom. The kind gentlemen at the counter said "I can ask" I never had someone have to ask their overlord for permission to have a paying customer use the restroom. Unfortunately for me the gentleman's pizza superiors did not grant me permission. I take it some people can use the restroom, some people can't, and I fall into the later category. Cousin Vinny's is the first restaurant I found that offers GOOD white pizza! I can't eat tomatoes or tomato sauce, but CV's Chicken Florentine pizza is wonderful! So they said they would remake our order, waited in the car again for the instructed time, went inside to get the food... they made us the wrong food... so now we wait for a third time... I ordered a pizza and they didn't even have the audacity to give me a call when they arrived at my Building (I live downtown in an apartment) -- about an hour went by and I looked at the app by happenstance and it just randomly said the delivery was complete. I went downstairs to the front door and saw nothing, called the shop and nobody picked up and thought maybe I'll Check the back of the building. The driver decided it would be a good idea to just drop My pizza off on the side of the stairs leading up to the back entrance that nobody uses. My pizza was freezing cold and had to heat it up I the oven just to eat it. It blows my Mind that I would much rather a block of uncooked ramen over that frozen solid Pizza. Food was ready when I arrived. A very kind and chipper cook offered to cook through my cookie to make sure it was as well-done as I liked. Pizza was good when fresh. I think I'll order the cheese sticks to be less well-done (they give you this option) next time, though. read more

I order from Cousin Vinny's Every Tuesday night for almost a year now. I spend at least $15.00-22.00 dollars every Tuesday. I also sometimes will order on a Sunday night and spend about the same. I do buy from Cousin Vinnys group. They are usually later than what you tell me on the phone, sometimes its 10minutes sometimes its 15 minutes. I don't get that frustrated, I used to work in the restaurant business so I can understand how things get backed up sometimes. Tonight which this has happened once before and I didn't say anything. I called and ordered at 5:30pm and ordered 4 pizzas, 2 pep, and 2 cheese. The girl told me it would be about 40 to 45mins. I then called at 6:30 because it's now been pass 45mins...The girl told me they were backed up and that it's on its way didn't even bother looking it up... She sounded like I was bothering her which I was very kind on the phone, and just asked if its on its way. She came off very rude... The pizza did not arrive until 6:57 pm. Half my group did not have any. Becuase they have to leave at a certain time.. This as this was not the first time we have experienced this problem with Cousin Vinny's. If the girl in the first place had told me that it was going to be around a 1 1/2 I would have still ordered. I plan my night when according to when I think the pizza will arrive. Something needs to CHANGE. Or We will not give our service on Tuesdays or Sundays any longer. It's not that hard to go to a different pizza place. read more

I ordered one medium supreme pizza and two cheese sauces for dipping. On the first delivery, I only received the pizza. I called back to let them know I hadn't received the sauces. As a college student living on campus my house loves late night Cousin Vinny's. The price is great and the pizza and bread sticks aren't half bad (especially after a few appetite-causing drinks!). They have great daily deals and always deals for UDayton students. They have pretty quick delivery (usually within 35 minutes) and the food quality is very consistent, not amazing quality pizza but it's good stuff and certainly does the trick. A friend who writes a Dayton food blog swears by Cousin Vinny's pizza. I trust her opinion, so when I was at a girls' night up in Dayton, and the choice was "Dominos or Cousin Vinny's," the decision was simple. I wanted to try Cousin Vinny's, loathe chain pizza places like Dominos (ew), and luckily, everyone else agreed. Triple win! We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and a veggie one (that had no onions, yay! and had artichokes, more yay!) and also an order of breadsticks. I liked how the breadsticks were coated in parmesan, though it was a little messy, and I hope my friend wipes down her guitars for Rock Band, because I think we got them a little greasy. Speaking of grease, the pizza was not super greasy, which was nice. The crust reminded me a little bit of Noble Romans from back in the day (back in Middletown, where I grew up). The meat pizza was "just okay," so it's the veggie one that earns this place 4 stars, in my opinion. It was absolutely delicious. On that note, if you ever find yourself in Dayton, hungry for pizza, definitely give Cousin Vinny's a try. It may be a bit on the pricey side, but they do have coupons on their website. One weird thing: apparently, and this is according to one of my friends, not sure if it was weather related or what, but this did actually occur when they delivered the pizzas and my friend said it was standard practice with them: when the delivery guy arrives, he calls you and makes you walk down to the street and he'll hand you the pizza from the car.
