No complaints here. The Courtyard staff were very nice and accommodating. They even let us have a later checkout because my son's lacrosse game got pushed back. I really didn't feel like driving 3 1/2 hours with two sweaty smelly boys and their sweaty equipment. Donald, Linda & the other front desk staff are excellent. Super personable. The place is clean. The only reason for four stars is because the breakfast options are very limited, because they come from a Starbucks café. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is premade and reheated. I wanted mine without cheese but that wasn't possible.

I had the most terrible experience here. On first impressions, the room was really cute and clean, but that is about where the positives end. I'm a Marriott Gold Elite member. There are specific remarks and requests on my account because I am a light sleeper. I specifically requested a high floor far away from elevators. They didn't even TRY to accommodate either request. They put me on the second floor between the elevator and a couple that were fighting violently all say and night (despite calls to security, it was never resolved). The walls are paper thin. Because of the location, I was awoken at least 4 times in the middle of the night due to drunken people yelling down the hallway, constant elevator ringing and noise from above me that sounded like a bowling alley. The noises continued until about 3 AM, and it was quiet until about 6 AM when the yelling and elevator traffic started again. So I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. This is a VERY NOISY HOTEL. I am blown away that my Marriott gold elite status didn't count for ANYTHING here. On top on all of that, the room layout is terrible. You cannot watch the TV from the bed, and the sofa is tiny and insanely uncomfortable. I wound up just trying to watch Netflix on my laptop, but the WiFi kept dropping and cutting out (from three bars to one repeatedly)

The only photo I took captures the essence of your likely experience at this hotel. Arguably the farthest hotel from the town center, the hotel is encompassed within what seems to be a dying office park complex. Immediately upon check-in, I was told bluntly, there isn't any maid service available; they kindly offered to provide more towels upon request. Almost each of my visits to the front desk revealed this sign. Most times I just went away, but on one occasion I rang the bell like Quasimodo, now running for office in that state coincidentally, but I digress. The hotel at a distance seems new and modernly appointed and so it is, but it's used hard and when you look closer has heavy wear. I stayed at this hotel two years ago and it was a little better. Rather expensive for the complete, do it yourself package...no breakfast, no maid service. And so on. One night when I asked why the back door wasn't locked (because the sign warns it will lock after dark) the nice lady at the desk said it doesn't lock until 11 pm ...wayyy after dark, and that she was the ONLY employee in the entire huge hotel. Brand loyal to Marriott, so I stayed there, but will seek other options in the future. Sadly, disappointed...

Gross, extremely coffee pot. Very disgusting. Must be their way to sell coffee in the lobby

I think this may be my first yelp review ever. While I realize staffing shortages are a major issue, Marriott should pay more attention to how many rooms are being booked and keep the number manageable for the staff they do have. The hotel is not clean. Left over (used) bar of soap in the bathroom, hair on the floor, dust on the furniture, sticky carpet. All for over $300 for the night. I didn't sleep much because I was so put off with the condition of the room. The issues were reported to the front desk but there was no offer for compensation or even an apology. The information was just written down (or at least pretended to be). Pay attention Marriott, this location does not represent your brand well or come close to meeting standards

This was our first time staying at this hotel. Unlike some other reviews, I am only a Silver Elite and have been upgraded at other locations but don't expect it especially during a pandemic. The hotel is conveniently located off of Route 15 and just a short drive to downtown Gettysburg. There are two restaurants located right across the driveway from the hotel. Appalachian Brewing Company is the one we visited (they also have a location next to the battlefield) we loved the food and beer. As for the hotel, we did express check in and when we arrived we were handed our keys but also had keys sent to my phone which I love. It wasn't very busy but every staff member we came in contact with was courteous and friendly. Our king room was clean and comfortable. The sleeper sofa was sturdy enough that you would never know it is. The bed had a nice mix of firm, but comfortable and we both slept great. I will definitely be staying here again as we visit a few times a year and only live 1.5 hours away.

Everything was checked out online via Yelp, which was a nice confidence boost. I didn't want to make a mistake and end up with a nightmare stay. Next, the parking and the front desk entrance are at the rear of the building. It has a fascinating history. Throughout the hotel, there are historical paintings of Gettysburg. The restaurant that was part of the inn no longer serves breakfast, so we had to drive out for a bite. However, we planned to visit the battleground early in the morning, so this was no big issue. Also, please ignore folks who repeat what they've heard about ghosts at the Federal Pointe Inn. Besides, historians often write these people off as less reliable, and their accounts are open to individual interpretation. Like the game, you see on TV where folks sit in a circle, and a person would whisper something in the ear of another person, who would whisper it to the next and so forth, and it virtually had no resemblance to the original. Well, that sums up ghost stories. So, don't allow ghost stories to deter you from staying at the Federal Pointe Inn.

I was flying solo, so I stayed in the smallest (cheapest) room - Violet Room - and it was nice if not huge. Bed, bath, etc., were really nice. Room does have TV and wi-fi, but I was "on vacation" and did not use them that much. Mornings I went down, grabbed coffee, and sat out on the 2nd floor balcony reading and enjoying the view of the yard. Weather was great this visit, and this was hard to beat! The public spaces in the inn were plentiful on both 1st and 2nd floors, and I felt very comfortable. Gaslight's location is in the heart of Gettysburg, and everything but the battlefield itself is an easy walk. That included places to eat and get ice cream. I preferred this to being farther out, driving around, finding parking, etc. Hosts - Mike and Jennifer - were great, friendly, answered all questions, and helped with anything I wanted. If you are looking for a 9-room B&B experience with other nice people, want to enjoy the heart of the town of Gettysburg, and do not need a mega-hotel, the Gaslight Inn should be high on your list.

A Review of the Brickhouse Inn, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (in the Style of 1870)…read more During my recent sojourn with my wife to the historic town of Gettysburg, we had occasion to lodge at the esteemed Brickhouse Inn, a house of most commendable character. The establishment itself is of handsome construction, its brick walls bearing the quiet dignity of years well kept. The chambers are appointed with tasteful elegance, and though we have, in our travels, rested upon beds of somewhat greater softness, the comfort of the accommodations was by no means wanting. Yet it was at the breakfast table that the Inn's true excellence shone forth. The morning repast, prepared with notable skill by Mistress Patty and served by Hannah, was of such quality and abundance as to dispel any minor discomforts of the night. Their attentiveness and mastery of the kitchen rendered the meal a delight of the highest order, and I found myself most grateful for her gracious service. In sum, our stay proved exceedingly pleasant, and we departed with a sense of satisfaction and goodwill toward the proprietors. The Brickhouse Inn stands as a worthy refuge for the traveler, offering beauty, hospitality, and a breakfast most splendid indeed

There should be a sign that it is that's room parking spot. There is no signage and if you get there in the dark your screwed to even know it the right parking lot. I had high hopes for this B&B but it definitely fell short. If you're looking for a "spooky" place this may be it. It all seemed a bit fake to me. I did appreciate the 2 fake fireplaces we had in our room. It hit under 40 over our stay at night, these were great. If you have neck/back problem-bring your own pillows or whatever you need. The pillows reminded me of the deflating hospital pillows. Also, there's a shareable hot tub and we didn't know about it. Maybe because it was off season, things weren't running smoothly? Not sure.

I stayed one night at Hotel Gettysburg and ultimately chose to check out early and move to another property. The experience started off poorly at check-in. While actively checking me in, the front desk employee was also carrying on a conversation with another couple standing beside the counter, giving them recommendations about things to do in town and discussing local haunted attractions. Meanwhile, I was being repeatedly bumped into by those same guests while trying to complete my check-in. It felt disorganized, awkward, and frankly unprofessional. When a guest is checking in, they deserve the front desk agent's full attention--not to feel like they're interrupting someone else's conversation. Parking was another frustration. Parking is not included and costs an additional $18 per night in a nearby garage, which already feels disappointing considering many comparable properties include it. What made matters worse was the temporary check-in traffic situation. A tour bus unloaded a large group directly in front of the roundabout exit, completely trapping several cars--including mine--for approximately 30 minutes. Even after unloading, the bus remained there while the driver sat in the vehicle using her phone, making it impossible to leave. While I understand that may not be directly the hotel's fault, it added to what was already a frustrating arrival experience. As for the room itself: very basic. No refrigerator, no microwave, no bar soap for the shower, and surprisingly, no tissues. That may seem minor to some, but as someone currently dealing with a sinus infection, having to leave the hotel and go buy tissues was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. The biggest disappointment was the view--which was essentially just a wall. For a historic hotel in such a prime location, the accommodations felt underwhelming and lacking in basic conveniences many travelers expect. Another thing worth noting: the hotel bar and restaurant closed at 9:00 PM, and by 8:30 PM they were already effectively unavailable. If part of your decision to stay here is convenience--being able to relax onsite for a late drink or meal after a day of sightseeing--you may want to consider other options. Yes, the hotel has historic charm, and the location is excellent if you want to walk around Gettysburg. But "historic" shouldn't be an excuse for poor service or minimal amenities. Also worth noting: unlike many nearby hotels, breakfast is not included. Overall, I found the stay overpriced for what was offered. Gettysburg has plenty of lodging options, and based on this experience, I would choose one of those instead.
