My kids and I decided to spend one night here for an impromptu staycation. I booked the room via the Bonvoy app, got my virtual key, then headed inside! We found the hotel to be clean and decorated nicely. I did have to stop at the front desk to show my id which I didn't mind doing. The lady at the desk was warm and inviting and thanked me for being a Bonvoy member! The room was spacious and comfortable. All of your basic needs will be met here- microwave, fridge, soap, coffee maker ihome clock. Forget something?! Just send them a message through the app and they will get it to you. The bathroom was a decent size and the bed was extra comfy! Although the indoor pool is very small here, my son totally enjoyed it. It's definitely not a pool to swim laps in but it was enough for us. We did not take advantage of most of the things that this marriot had to offer like- food, a small lounge area in the lobby, the gym or the fire pit in the back. There's lots to do in the area! Willowbrook mall, Dave & Busters and several restaurants are right across the road. This hotel is a doozie to get to so brace yourself for that! I checked out via the app and went on my way! I would definitely visit this property again for another family staycation!

I wanted to give 4 stars but there were a couple of things that annoyed us. First of all, no free water for even Bonvoy members! We found our workaround by getting iced cold waters from the gym. Which was very nice and open 24 hours with room card access. Oh, there's a pool too next door. No on site restaurant so they'll give you menus of nearby restaurants to order delivery. It's funny the mall is only 0.4 mile away but not walkable due to the highways. This hotel surely is located in a unique spot. There's a pond and lots of trees surrounding it, you get some nature in that sense. Plus a nice, big courtyard in the back. The rooms are comfortable but not very soundproof. You hear your neighbors slamming the doors all the time. Our room seemed clean but we caught two spiders in the bathroom, pretty good sized ones too! Speaking of the bathroom, the shower seems really cool with open design but in reality, not very practical. Gets cold during showers and that's in a place without ventilation! The most annoying was the placement of the TV, I got a neck cramp after two nights. Of course there are great things such as in-room fridge and microwave. The room is spacious with lots of surface areas, brightly lit, and black out curtains. The couch is very comfortable. I'd watch TV from there but it smelled a little... 3.5 stars.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at this relatively new Courtyard. My room was clean and had the basic amenities I expected. The gym was small but had new equipment. There were 2 ellipticals, a handful of treadmills, a free weights station and a cable machine. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the courtyard area with a fire pit but it looked like a relaxing spot to hang out and unwind. Some cons of the property: -Very thin walls. You can hear your neighbors and activity in the hallway. -The A/C unit doesn't like being turned off / the temperature being set higher so the room is constantly freezing and wasting energy. Overall, though, I had a pleasant stay and it met my expectations for a Courtyard property.

TEN for service!! I am getting used to how hotels have changed post covid, the usual toiletries in particular, cleaning. If I needed anything the staff had it. I arrived pooped on Sunday, ordered a quesidilla, salad and drink . The menu is small but there is enough to find something. The courtyard is beautiful (see picture).

Was staying on business and was expecting just your mediocre hotel when, after a long day of work, stumbled into the hotel and saw this beautifully renovated hotel. I did mobile check in with electronic key so no need to even stop at the lobby and made my way to the room. I was super impressed with the electronic key and opened my room to this MASSIVE corner room. The design is elegant, sleek and modern. The bed was so comfortable and when I realized I forgot my toothbrush, I ran downstairs with my wallet only to find out they give away toothbrushes and toothpaste for free! I plan to stay over much more now that I know this little gem is just a mile from my office here in Wayne.

Bed Bug caught Courtyard Marriott Wayne NJ

Bed bug issue and Poor Customer Experience/Support: We stayed at this place towards the end of December 2022 (Dec. 26th through Jan. 3rd, 2023). I started experiencing bug bites on my body since day 1 of night/stay. Woke up frequently, and checked in on my nieces and sister who travelled with me. I had booked two rooms, and this was being experienced in the room I was in with one of my nieces. One morning, I felt something and woke up and caught a bug. Never saw a bed bug before this, caught it with a lint roller around 4am, and went down and reported it to front desk first thing in the morning (didn't want to wake up my niece, but I was not able to sleep at all). The frontline personnel took the bug and went back to talk to his colleagues. Said there is nothing he can do and asked me to come back next morning to speak with the manager. The manager who was in the office the next day tried to settle things by offering me free coffee/snack from their foodcourt. I was insulted and informed him this is wrong. I was placed in a different room begrudgingly by the staff after reporting, they confirmed with the bed bug infestation with pest control after I left, but called and didn't leave a message to confirm (only asking me to call back). I didn't get confirmation that it was indeed a bed bug until the next day as I was traveling back home/in-flight by the time they called (the property management company personnel--Prestige Property Management). Initially the person who reached out with confirmation was empathetic, and expressed he wants to support getting things resolved in a timely manner over the phone. I informed I will throwing things away and replacing all the items I took with me (threw everything away immediately and informed my sister who traveled with me). During the call he agreed to pay for the replacements. Long story short, as I was working on getting itemized receipt of replacement together as agreed to, I asked for a copy of the infestation confirmation report several times (all documented in the email chain). No response to this request. And now, he is claiming he went above and beyond by reimbursing the hotel stay in the room that was beg bug infested, that he informed and instructed me how I can salvage items in my suitcases, and there is nothing more they can do. I am not taking no for an answer and both Prestige Management and Marriott should be ashamed of the the way they are handling the situation. It was their decision to reimburse my stay (in the room that was bed bug infested), I clearly informed I will be throwing everything away to be replaced and for them to replace (he consented to over the phone), but when asking for the report, he is backing off and not responding. I will be escalating to Customer Care and leadership of Prestige Management, I asked Marriott also for their policy. It is amazing how both Customer Care at Marriott and the personnel from Prestige Management are not responding back with the report and policy to be shared as requested. I have asked them to put me in contact with their leadership and legal team. I would have marked it zero star rating on this property if it was an option. There were decent staff at the hotel, but the person who addressed my initial reporting of bed bug to the person who claimed to be the manager at Courtyard Marriott Wayne NJ, and this personnel who is dishonest and unethical from Prestige Management, they should be ashamed of themselves. I am truly disappointed with Marriott as a brand altogether also. I travel for work and had to stay at Marriott since this incident (against my wishes as it was a big event hosted at Marriott branded hotels). My experience as a guest had plummeted to the lowest level/expectation. I choose and go out if my way to stay away from Marriott brand hotels for work. Be aware of this property (Courtyard Marriott Wayne NJ), the Prestige Property Management, and Marriott. I hope no more people will have to experience bed bug and poor customer services I experienced/currently working through. I am still working through this and will hold them accountable.

About seven years ago it was a Holiday Inn and then it changed to a Wyndham Garden Inn. It always got mixed reviews & quite a few poor reviews. I did stay here seven years ago and despite the poor reviews at that time, I had a decent stay back then. Now the hotel has recently been updated, meaning the lobby & rooms. So the rooms now have laminate flooring, new smart TVs, and there is a couch in the room & a large desk area as well as a mini fridge. The bathroom vanity area is large and there is a new wall mirror in the bathroom with good lighting , which I appreciate. There are still some areas of the hotel that are junky or in disrepair. The parking is free and I was able to park right outside the front entrance at check in, however, spaces there are limited. When I returned to the hotel at 2 AM after a concert, I had to park in the garage... Which is a little bit seedy & I was wary being a female alone. There are some abandoned vehicles in there. I was especially surprised when I found the door to the hotel was propped wide open and it's right next to the elevator that goes up to the rooms, that meant anybody could be entering and parking in the garage and entering the hotel floors & going anywhere in the hotel they wanted at that hour! Unsafe! There is grab and go food and drinks next to the front desk. The cooling worked well in my room. The bed was comfortable. I had a view of Route 46 W. Check in went smoothly and I was welcomed as IHG member. Again to my dismay, this hotel will not give you a free bottle of water as IHG member which the IHG Crown Plaza does. Water was $3 so I skipped it. I would probably stay here again if the price was right. It's close to New York City so the rate was 170 a night.

They are good at partitioning spaces and having multiple events that do not interfere with each other. There have been a couple of hiccups with needs (electronics, table/chair setup for instance), and the food is not stellar, only okay. (Case in point, I ordered my steak rare and the other person at my table ordered it medium well. They came out the same. Meanwhile, my friend at a different table got his rare. So was that mine?) Since the conference rooms are back behind the main desk, I've interacted with desk workers and watched people check in or out. I've spent time in the bar. If you're upgrading the lobby maybe start with you rooms that have stains on the walls starting from yellow to almost looking like poop. The carpet was stained, the chair in the room was suspect to say the least but also had interesting stains, along with the blinds having suspect stains as well. The beds were awful. I don't expect the grandest from hotels but the bed not only was advertised as two queen and ended up being full beds, but they were so old that they sunk in. The one bed was so sunken in you couldn't comfortably lay in it unless you laid in the sunken part, and that just felt unsettling. The sheets looked yellow and stained, nothing smelled washed, and don't get me started on how the floors clearly weren't swept, even in the bathroom. A bathroom is crucial to keep clean. The floors had hair all over that brought instant disgust, the tub was rusty and stained with dark patches, and the ceiling seen better days. Clearly this place hadn't been upgraded, cleaned properly, or touched in years and that is gross. Not that this can be changed in a way but the walls were so thin I got to hear a couple screaming and withing about their gambling addictions and relationship problems with cheating. There were fun surprises at every turn. Where else can you eat a yogurt parfait in an adorable Emma Bridgewater French pedestal bowl under a large portrait of AOC? As someone who is a big fan of sweets, I was just tickled by the sight of the colorful selection of candy in the "secret" candy closet (which although perhaps is a poorly kept secret, was a surprise to me!), as well as the Häagen-Dazs bars in the ice cream freezer. We stayed in the Harry room which was just off the library and featured a cleverly curated collage of framed photos of famous Harrys--Harry Houdini, Harriet Tubman, Debbie Harry, and some less easily identifiable Harrys, which generated conversation (was Buddy Holly's name Harry?). I understand each of the rooms is decorated similarly, each with a different name. We enjoyed tea and cake in the library at tea time. The George offers a complimentary wine service every evening with several selections of wine as well. What an experience--a solid five stars--I hope to return soon.
