Came here for a work related event being held in one of their concerned rooms. There is a lot of parking available and the hotel is easy to navigate. The lobby was well maintained. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The common lobby area has a bar that also sells some food and coffee in the morning. There is a lot of seating available in the common lobby area. This would be a good local place to have small scale conferences. read more

Arrived after 8:00 p.m. so that I was in town for an early morning meeting the next day. The check-in was easy, staff were super polite, handed me a nice bottle of water and offered to carry my luggage upstairs since they don't have an elevator. The room is updated and has a nice modern layout and feel. They're also very quiet, I couldn't hear the traffic or people in the hallways. I came downstairs to hang out in the bar area. Enjoyed an espresso martini and a chocolate cookie. Perfect night cap. It was nice to see there were other folks hanging out in the bar area. Bar staff were super polite and friendly. In the morning when I checked out I was greeted by really friendly staff. Nice chit chatty conversation and just a nice way to exit the hotel. I'll see you next time. Great located hotel with the outlets right next to it, tons of food restaurants, gas stations, what not. Hotel itself is a bit out of date. Inside is newer or seemly better remodeled even with the rooms. No key card needed to get into pool, which was weird. The bath tub handle was very loose and there was no hot water in the morning. Decent stay for 4 nights, comfy bed, good bath towels, would be back just for location. read more

This was the noisiest hotel ever. Our room was near the lobby restroom that had a very loud door. Why maintenance wasn't able to quiet that door is beyond me. Not what you would expect for a place guests come to sleep. It would not have been a huge deal if it was used only rarely, HOWEVER, the hotel was also being rented to a large group of traveling PG&E workers drinking beer in lobby and peeing every 5 mins. BANG! BANG!! Laughing.....BANG! The hotel desk with staff were literally right next to them and ignoring all the traffic and noise. It was past 10pm!! Way past! read more

Starting off with the pros: The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are multiple walkable restaurants nearby ( we had In N Out on night 1 and Olive Garden on night 2), a Grocery Outlet right next door, and the Nut Tree Outlets. We used the pool (which was not too cold), hot tub, and gym which were all in good condition. And did some work in the lobby where there is a ton of seating and 3 large booths with outlets. Now with the cons: Day 1, the hallways, gym, and room smelled like smoke. I tried to open the sliding door of the gym, but that doesn't open and there's barely any ventilation in there. The cleaning crew came in and tried opening the door, but it doesn't budge. Day 2, the smell wasn't as strong, but the hallways are still stuffy with no ventilation. You can fill up your water bottle in the gym, but there's mold and residue (pictured) which makes me think the filter doesn't get changed either. Walls are thin. We were on the first floor, and it was easy to hear upstairs neighbors footsteps, banging doors, and talking until 2am. read more

Greeted warmly by Deviere at the front desk. Check in was quick. He even offered to help haul our bags upstairs since there IS NO ELEVATOR. No biggie but will probably alter any future plans of staying at this property. HUGE tv in room is plus. Shelves for your toiletries by sink is nice. For hotel AC's our was about 55 decibels (indoor conversation level) which is pretty good. read more

I stayed here recently for a business trip and the staff was friendly and accommodating. There is no elevator which was a bummer so they found me a first floor room so that I wouldn't have to lug my stuff upstairs. There's plenty of parking and the hotel is close to the freeway and lots of shopping and eateries; you can even walk to some places. The hotel is outdated though. There's no central air but it's decent for a stay. read more

We've stayed here now three times during the pandemic and this is the only Marriott property that still doesn't serve breakfast, they charge you for coffee that they won't allow you to get on your own and this trip our entire hall smelled like weed so bad we had to open our outside door to air it out. Will not be staying here again. Whoever the independent owner of the property is is taking advantage of the pandemic and loyal Marriott customers. They are also leasing out part of the property for ongoing Amazon interviews which have been going on for at least two years. Which doesn't impact you unless you are staying on that hall. There are other options in Vacaville I would seek them out. We certainly are on our next visit. read more

Spent a few days here. Loved being right next door to Olive Garden and across the street from the outlets. It also has easy freeway access but no noise from the freeway. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I really enjoyed the pool. The temperature was in the 90s but the pool was in a shaded area that made it feel kinda tropical. It too was clean and seemed well maintained. read more

Aside from the fast talking won't make eye contact desk clerk this was a good choice. There were minor annoyances like no elevator, no free breakfast, empty water dispensers, and grubby patio tables. Had I known the hotel was under renovation I would not have booked. Strong toxic chemical type odors, etc. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. When cleaning, one must get areas one can not see from above. Mold below fixture in tub that only someone taking a bath would see. On the upside, bed was well- made and very comfortable, room had interesting and well- designed furnishings. Full mirrored closet, spacious toilet and tub room. Breakfast at the Bistro was perfect! We had the French toast which had been cooked in butter to perfection. Bread deeply soaked in egg beforehand too. Strawberries were ripe and sufficient quantity. I would have preferred a for here cup, but that's my fault for not bringing one. The hot tub is spacious and a GREAT hot temperature. The pool is heated. We really enjoyed the hour we spent poolside after checkout time. (room vacated at 10:45). I noticed the fruit soaked water dispenser had been replenished by Sunday. I suspect Expedia did not give me the best price. Next trip I will compare with the hotel directly. The lobby is large and well appointed with a fireplace. This is a great hotel that will only improve once the renovation work is complete. Thank you. Lost a star due to the less than helpful front desk clerk. read more

Meh, I've been to better. This Courtyard is across the street from the Vacaville outlets. Most of the reviews of this Courtyard were good, so, I thought it might be a good place for an overnight stay. Check in was interesting. The front desk clerk didn't seem happy. I got the message and quickly got the keys to my room and left the grumpy woman. My room was on the second floor. The room was much better than the front desk clerk. The room was everything I wanted with a king bed. The bathroom was clean and working. The room gave me a comfortable night sleep. I realized that I had forgotten toothpaste and a toothbrush. I was able to order it from my Marriott app and have someone deliver it to my room. Breakfast was available in their Bistro. Unlike other Marriott properties, they do not have free breakfast for elite members. They are supposed to offer me a welcome gift of points or breakfast. I choose the breakfast. But, instead of a free breakfast, I was charged for it. I didn't realize that they had charged me until I submitted my hotel bill to my employer for reimbursement. The room was good. The location was decent. The front desk clerk needs some happy pills. I'll stay down the street next time at another Marriott property. read more

This is my preferred hotel when I'm in Vacaville for work. I have stayed here a number of times over the past few years, and always have a pleasant experience. The staff are all incredible, and deliver outstanding customer service. The rooms are always clean and well stocked. And now they offer a green initiative, which I am thrilled about!!! If you choose to skip housekeeping, they'll award you 250 Marriott Rewards bonus points, for each day you participate for up to three consecutive days at a time. (for stays of two or more nights). You can always call and ask for more towels or toiletries, and they'll gladly deliver them to you. This hotel honors a state rate. They have a great little breakfast bistro, and plenty of parking. They are conveniently located near the outlets, as well as several grocery and convenience stores, so if you forgot anything there's no need to panic. There's also plenty of great food nearby, and accessing the freeway is just about as easy as it gets. read more

Charged for 4 nights instead of 3. I had a decent stay here as I was just in need of a quiet place to take an exam for 2 days. I booked this non refundable stay over 2 months before for a total of 4 nights. When I went to the front desk to state I was checking out on the 3rd night early, I was told by the associate she could not check me out until tomorrow but I was fine to leave. The next day, I see I was charged a 4th night on my debit card, which was not the card I even put down for incidentals. I called the hotel and they told me the notes state I was informed I would be charged. This conversation next happened and I was never there for the 4th night. Now, I have to wait for the reimbursement through no fault of my own. They spoke to me like I was trying to get out of a fee I already paid months in advance. I never sought reimbursement and am well aware just because I leave before checkout doesn't mean that doesn't count as an extra night. But I never stayed an extra night or even tried to. Maybe it was because I was a woman, maybe it was because I was traveling alone, or maybe it was because I fall into a minority ethnic group. I'm not sure how the associate so easily tried to lie about a conversation that never happened or never thought to look up my stay to ensure I was only charged for what I already paid for and how long I actually stayed. read more

First visit to this courtyard Sunday evening checkin around 5 p.m . So I live not to far from the area so I like to have a little getaway do some outlet shopping and eat! Review: checked in around 5 pm hotel lobby is nice quiet and clean and offers a bar / Bristol if u don't feel like leaving your room . This hotel is located in walking distance to the outlet stores and some restaurants ; The Guess Room was nice and clean bed was comfy and I like how the TVs were mounted and not on top of the dresser room comes with mini fridge and a microwave very pleased about that! They also provide sanitizing wipes to wipe down things like the remote , tv phone ect. The only thing I found odd is that the hotel does not have an elevator so if you have a lot of luggage beware! The hotel is only 2 floors high which I also found odd because I usually like to stay on a high floor but no biggie hotel has lots of parking and free WiFi Service : The first young Lady that came out was decent but I found it odd that she asked me upon checking in what brought me to the area I thought this to be a question as none of your business but if u must know there are outlets and restaurants here duhhhh as if I needed a reason to be here the other girl with the black curly hair had absolutely no customer skills what so ever! My boyfriend and I stayed at Courtyard Marriott in Vacaville for a wedding weekend. We had a comfortable 2 night stay in a 1 king bed room. Here are some highlights from our stay: - The room was spacious and even accommodated a love seat in one corner of the room. - The desk was a business workstation, which was exactly what I needed as I did bring my laptop to do some work. - There was no shortage of plugs and USB plugs around the room. It was great that the night stands even had built in outlets. - Hair dryer. Check. Iron and ironing board. Check. - The room had excellent lighting and especially in the sink area where I had to put on my makeup. Furthermore, I liked that the sink was separate from the toilet and bath/shower. I didn't love the hotel shampoo and conditioner though, so you may want to consider bringing your own. - I admittedly was concerned with our room picking up loud sounds since our room was on the bottom floor. It was pretty quiet though, and I didn't have any particular issues with noise. - The hotel staff provided great customer service. Megan at the front desk was super nice and personable. After check out of 3 night stay at Marriott courtyard Vacaville, CA, I received an emailed folio of smoking fee for $250. I went back to hotel to dispute the charge as there was no smoking conducted in the room. When the staff failed to provide any evidence of smoking (as room attendants had been in the room during stay to clean and would have reported smoke or any uncleanliness issues) then changed their minds and decided it was going to be a cleaning fee. When asked why, the presumed manager presented a stained hand towel and did not provide any further evidence or logical explanation of why the smoking fee, conveniently turned cleaning fee was still applied. A stained hand towel doesn't constitute a deep cleaning fee. There was nothing in the room which prevented the staff renting the room the same day or subsequent nights. No overflow of trash, no stained bedding, no biohazards. The staff attempted many times to adjust the reasoning for fee or change the conversation to an irrelevant topics when effective questioning and logic reasoning was applied. Ultimately, it is unreasonable to believe a stained hand towel is reasoning enough to apply a "smoking fee" turned deep "cleaning fee" is applied for any situation similar as room attendants had been in the room the day prior & would have reported smoke or cleaning issues but it was not the case. I believe this was a targeted attack due to leaving the room 10 minutes after check out and an unsurmountable amount of complicit biases and stereotyping exercised by the staff. read more

We were here last week for a work trip so we decided to make it a little getaway. The pool is open and only 5 people are allowed per hour. The Courtyard Vacaville is not much different than most other properties under the same banner having a similar design and layout. Heads up, the entrance is not easily noticeable from the street being oddly placed in the back of the parking lot. The first impression of the room was its musty smell. I went to air it out but discovered the climate controls were switched from the old-school wall unit...something you'd expect at an older, budget motel. Maintenance staff quickly replaced a burned-out light in the floor lamp but couldn't address the noisy wall fixture. Though the room was a newly-renovated design and the furniture appeared new, padding from the couch was popping out of a rip from the back of the cushion. Additionally, the TV was the traditional flat screen however it lacked Marriott's WiFi-connected in-room entertainment system. They didn't invest much into the bathroom either being outdated and lacking shower racks to conveniently place soaps and razor up high, like you'd see in most showers. This Courtyard's best asset is its location. There is an Olive Garden across from the parking lot and there are plenty of options for shopping and dining. The covered parking spaces are also a nice touch, though they're probably there to support the solar panels. Another oddity here is that they don't have an elevator...not a deal-breaker for me but this could be a problem for older folks or those with a lot of luggage. Overall, this hotel is slightly below average due to its half-baked renovation and needs to address the attention-to-details issues. The Courtyard Vacaville is OK if you're passing through on a short stay but there are definitely better options throughout the area. read more

Out of the several hotels that I've been to in this area I must say that this is the nicest one I've been to. All the rooms have been remodeled and updated to reflect a very upscale midcentury modern/retro kind of feel. There are outlets everywhere and USB charging ports on both the nightstand and the TV wall. There's both a fridge and microwave so you can nuke some food from the market next door or from the gas station a short walk away. The parking situation is pretty decent and the Olive Garden lot empties out after they close which opens up some more parking for the east side of the hotel. The beds are very comfy with a choice of firm and a medium density pillows to suit your level of support. I'm also kind of digging this pullout desk that's in front of the TV that gives me plenty of space of work and not feel cramped. I feel like I have to dock 1/2 a star because, unlike their competitors, they charge like $8 for their morning breakfast instead of offering it for free. The gym is also pretty bare-bones with a few cardio machines, a flat bench and some dumbbells. Also, every other hotel I've been to gives reward points for stays paid for by the military base but this place has a rule where they won't give any points. Go figure. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the place and hope I get lodged here again in the future! read more

I'm here in Vacaville for the week and will be back after Thanksgiving week and flying back and forth another 3 weeks from Orange County. Total of 5 weeks in Vacaville. I'll be staying here at the Courtyard by Marriott. My phone GPS wasn't working when I was driving here from the Sacramento Airport. I called the hotel and Mary gave me easy directions to arrive here. Tonight is my last night for this week and I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was very clean and cleaning service always restocked on toiletries. The microwave didn't work the first night. I was provided a free breakfast at the bistro and by the time I got back from my job training it was fixed. Great, friendly and awesome customer service. This hotel is in the perfect location. Located across the premium outlets which I plan to visit in 2 weeks. Also, great walking to all the eateries like Olive Garden , Dickey's, and much more which I haven't been to yet - In N Out, Applebees, BJ's, Chik-fil-a and etc. Looking forward to coming back to stay. read more

I've had the pleasure of visiting the Courtyard Vacaville due to work events. The last few times i've been there, they settled us into the general conference room. The staff is nice, however, the room itself has terrible temperature control. They've been able to provide us with breakfast, lunch, and mid day snacks from the bristo. I'm not too found of their sandwiches nor their soups; a little too flavorful with salt. Once, the water was shut off which was problematic. Over twenty people in the conference room no bathrooms, no water, big drama. We had to go to FreeBirds or something to use their latrine. read more

Sucks... How can you be a business hotel and have NO elevator? What the hells? Note. THIN WALLS!!!! Its now midnight on a monday. Walls are so thin i can hear the room to the left watching tv. Room to my right just finished a session of boom boom. Ive stayed at quieter hotels in san francisco in a friday night. Lobby is nice they just renovated it. Looks like new carpet and wall art... Thats the only nice part. So I got to "spin" the wheel and get free breakfast whoop tee doo i get that normally for free at hilton business level hotels. Rooms sad and old. My ac unit was soo noisy. Bathrooms super outdated. Small stinky closets. I am scared if they washed my bed cover... All around yuck. I travel every week for work and stay in a lot of hotels. My inner voice is telling me see you should have stayed at a hilton property.. Bummer. They should have used some new lobby and common space decor money to save these sad, paper thin walled rooms with walmart-like shower curtains. I wont be staying here ever... Horrible booked non smoking room and when I got there room smelled like cigarettes it was 109° outside in the hallway was 105 my air conditioner barely worked I requested pillows and towels three different times and received nothing very poor quality Hotel didn't even have elevators to get our luggage up the second floor had to walk up the stairs with luggage. Last Friday during Labor Day Weekend I went stayed here for my sister's wedding. I stayed for two nights. The first thing that stood out is there are no elevators for this two-story hotel. Because they had heavy luggage most of my family opted to stay on the first floor. I didn't have any heavy luggage so I stayed at the second floor. The hotel is perfectly situated close to restaurants, gas stations, the outlets, and Safeway. The staff was really friendly. The swimming pool was a decent size to relax and swim. The only reason why I did not rate this hotel higher was there is no free continental breakfast. This would have saved me money from buying breakfast at the Black Oak Restaurant closely. I stayed at the Courtyard Vacaville on 20 and 21 July 2018. I have been staying at this Courtyard in Vacaville for nearly two years now as it is much nicer than the Residence Inn or Fairfield Inn which is just down the street. I have really come to appreciate the frequent upgrades to the corner suite, room 248. I believe the last four times I was there I was treated to a nice upgrade. Additionally, the front desk host who usually checks me in is one of the nicest and most professional out of all the Marriotts I stay at throughout the year. Sadly, this particular stay was also one of the worst stays I have experienced at a Marriott. I was traveling with my family this weekend, and we brought our swim trunks so that we could enjoy the hot tub before bed. When we arrived at the hot tub, there was one other gentleman in the hot tub already. We slowly got in and moved to the side opposite him. After a couple of minutes, he unpacked a Bluetooth speaker from his bag and started to play loud country music with vulgar profanities. It became very distracting. We tried to move a bit further away and then he turned up the volume to where we could barely talk to each other. We sat a bit closer to each other to do our best to still be able to hear each other, though we did have to really raise our voices. At this point, he started taking pictures of us with his cell phone. He would hold up his cell phone, point it at us, push the camera button, the flash would turn on for a second, and then it would flash brightly a few times. After taking several pictures we decided we needed to leave the area and report this behavior. On our way out of the hot tub, we saw the pictures of us on his cell phone. He appeared to be texting them to someone. We returned to our room and called the front desk. The front desk didn't answer for about five minutes. When she did answer she asked if she could place me on hold. After another couple of minutes, she returned to the line and I was able to explain to her what had happened. I described the man in detail for her and she said she would go out and speak with him. After about 20-minutes I called the front desk again to find out what had happened. Again, it took about 7-minutes to get through. When she answered she told me that she asked him to turn down the music but she wasn't able to do anything about the pictures because he wasn't taking pictures of anyone while she was out there. I explained that I felt that what he did was illegal. She said it was private property and there was nothing she could do about it. I explained how this was the first time I ever felt unsafe at a Marriott property and I was not comfortable with this situation. She acknowledged that she would have been uncomfortable too, and then she reiterated that there was nothing she could do about it. I asked if the hotel had any security and she told me no. I then asked if I called the police myself and they came to the hotel, would she be able to provide the name and room number of the guest to the police. Again, she told me no. My entire family and I really felt unsafe, exposed, violated, and helpless at this situation. When I asked how is she going to prevent this from happening to other people, she said the pool closes soon so he will be asked to leave then. In an effort to help improve the staffing or policies of the hotel, I have tried to work with the general manager the last month, though they believe that they are appropriately staffed and they will not respond to my other concerns about not cooperating with the police. This is entirely, 100%, unacceptable! There needs to be a resolution on this matter. New policies need to be implemented to protect loyal paying guests or a warning needs to be expressly provided in the information for this hotel that your family may be filmed by other guests without their consent and be exposed to hostile, and uncomfortable situations which the hotel will do nothing to correct. I have never been more shocked with inappropriate handling of a situation than this weekend. read more

Not a bad hotel but not a very well thought out layout. The night stands are beyond weird and non functional and the switches to turn on the lights are the opposite side of the bed,wtf? Absolutely no room beside the sink to put anything. Shower minimal pressure and multi spray head not much. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express here but they were booked for the night. This was way more expensive with so much less to offer and no free breakfast . Had this review at three stars until I ordered breakfast. I asked to substitute over medium egg for scrambled on the breakfast sandwich and was told it was Marriot corporate policy that the egg choice could not be altered and they would be downgraded if caught. WTF? Really, so making the customer happy is not the priority? read more

I've stayed in this Courtyard a few times, and I've never had less than a stellar time. The rooms have been updated with a post-mod 70's decor (in a super tasteful way), and are very comfortable. There is a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker in each room, and I've never had a problem with 'wall noise'. I walked in this evening exhausted, hungry, dehydrated, and in an overall crappy mood. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly, fast, and efficient with my check-in, that I totally forgot to be pissed off. :-D! Thanks Marriott for yet another lovely stay! read more
