Came here since a friend has Marriott perks and we needed a quaint place to stay for two nights. It did it's job. Right off the highway, it's pretty convenient to supermarkets (Whole Foods and ShopRite) and restaurants. Parking was adequate, though the ones close to the door get taken quite quickly when it's below zero degrees outside! The rooms were clean, and it was pretty quiet. No complaints on my end. I know there's a gym and a pool, but didn't get to explore as I was tired both days of travel. The lounge area was pretty nice with a fire.

Nasty pull out

Don't walk....run away from this place. If I could give this dump less than one star I would. Lobby smells like garbage. Booked a king room with pull out sofa bed, returned to room around midnight and pulled out the sofa bed. Disgusting stains and lord knows what excreta on the mattress (see photo). I wouldn't put an any living creature on that mattress. The sofa was also torn so there is no way they didn't know that the piece was in poor condition. Went to the front desk, showed the photo, and asked for another room for two members of my party that were supposed to use the pull out. Clearly explained that two members of my party needed another room and the other two would stay in the original room. Initially was told that the room was just a "king" room - um no, not according to my reservation. They did give us another room - It's about midnight at this point in time . About 30 min later maintenance tried to enter the original room, waking me up, so they could "fix" the sofa. Then, maintenance went to the other room and banged on the door, waking and scaring the two members of my party who had just relocated there. Called the front desk and was told they didn't understand that part of the party would remain in the original room. Instead of owning their crappy furniture conditions and failure to understand the needs of their guests they were unwilling to accept responsibility, accept their own misunderstanding. My party would have been better off sleeping in our car.

Facilities were clean and in good shape, and service was better than average, but we were looking forward to using the pool and it was underheated and uncomfortable. The hot tub was out of commission entirely (they try to hide it under a bunch of mats). There is one thing that makes it certain I will not return to this hotel: they distribute the Epoch Times, a propaganda rag from the right wing Falun Gong cult, in their lobby, instead of a legitimate paper. I won't give my money to a business that thinks this is OK.

Pool is closed as of 6/14/21

I stayed two nights this past weekend on a business trip down to NJ. Overall it was a bit below my expectations given the price rate but I suppose it wasn't all that terrible either. First the good parts, it was definitely very conveniently off rt 46 and very close to I80, I love how close it was to all the different restaurants and shops in the area. My room itself was actually pretty nice, the furniture are relatively new and I have no complaints about the bathroom. I only wish I wasn't given the ground corner room at the end of the hotel on the opposite side of the ice machine. The second morning the trash pick up truck was definitely a bit of a nuisance since the bins are right outside of the rooms window. But I guess that room must have been the lowest rate when I booked hence I got stuck with it lol. The TV system is nice that it works with most of the internet TV streaming now but I hated how I couldn't adjust the brightness and color of the TV making it hard to see at time. And lastly of course is that the pool was still closed when I visited which was disappointing, it seems to be working fine too but I'm guessing its a COVID related restriction. I didn't have any major issues that needed to reach out to the staff but the check in process was relatively simple and quick. Overall its an okay stay, but you get what you paid for exactly~

Blood on bedspread

I wasn't impressed at all. The hallways/stairwells were dirty like they haven't been cleaned since COVID started. My room was hot when I opened the door. The bedspread has a spot of blood on it. The bathroom had hair on the floor. The table/desk had something dried on it (milk? Ice cream? Booger?). I almost asked for a different room, but it was late and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. Plus I didn't have a good check in experience and didn't think the night auditor would be receptive. She didn't inform me about anything. No internet access information, no food status, pool or gym status, nothing. I won't be staying at this Marriott again. I have it saved as a favorite to make sure I avoid it. One thing I forgot to add. The last several Marriott's I've stayed at had seals on the doors showing they were cleaned and sanitized. Obviously something new due to COVID. This room didn't have that. Maybe it wasn't or maybe this hotel doesn't have the same policy the last 3 Marriotts had.

Most stuff closed : staff limited but very nice. Rooms a bit dated with upgrade even but got a room not used for 9 days so that was Covid friendly. Location is good, different options close by.

We stayed there on our way to NYC, I booked the room through the hotel website by applying AAA rate for like $81, it's was well worth it. The staff was friendly but they didn't go out of their way as we asked for one hour late checkout as I didn't check in till almost 9:00 but they declined it, there was a oriental guy working the morning shift. The rooms were roomy, they had coffee maker, mini fridge etc only one soap for sink and the bath tub but general very clean, we got the balcony room on third floor, their restaurant in the lobby or more like a lounge closed at 10:00 but there is a TGIF on walking distance so we went there. In the morning they serve Starbucks coffee out of their lounge with breakfast but no free breakfast, the jacuzzi by the pool wasn't working. Overall a nice and clean hotel, I will say there again if I go by there.

I had the pool to myself, the hot tub didn't get hot

Good morning! As I said every day to the parking lot paving guys. Every night I'd get a special letter, please move your vehicle from the parking lot before 8am. If I worked all nite and had to get up at 8am to move my car I'd be livid. That being said, The Courtyard Parsippany was a welcomed hotel during my stay in New Jersey. They don't offer free breakfast and the hot tub wasn't hot!? But it sure was nice to take a dip in the pool and relax after a long day. So! Newly paved parking lot, Clean rooms, indoor pool and a counter area for ordering food and coffee. 4 stars from me today

Decent one night stay here. My son husband and I went to crayon world and crashed here for the night. Quick check in, clean sheets and we got a microwave upon request at check in. If I'm in the area and need somewhere to sleep this is a go to hotel.

Complete smart ass, but funny as hell none the less. I also truly enjoy that there is a pool table as well as a bowling alley. Gives one something to do if they find themselves bored. My complaints? A few: 1. The food is average. For the price one pays to be part of the club, I would expect more. 2. The club never seems to have an abundance of people, especially of the younger variety. Of course, the age group is of personal taste. 3. Of the people I have met there, there are a few that I would consider snobby in the least. But, what can you expect, it's a wealthy town, and you will always find people such as this in one. A good neighborhood club, but certainly not the best.

While the building and grounds are slightly above average looking, the service and food are definitely superior to any country club in the area. I started with a tomato and mozzarella appetizer (very fresh) and my friend ordered the seared ahi tuna appetizer. Sliced tuna shingles with various Asian inspired garnishes such as seaweed salad, wasabi, diced avocado. Almost too pretty to eat but after one bite, all bets were off. Easily one of the best appetizers on the menu. I had the pork chop which was thick and juicy and my buddy had the salmon, blackened. Could have been a little spicier for me, but tasty nonetheless. We shared bananas foster for dessert-prepared tableside. Bring the kids for this one, they'll love it. After dinner we went downstairs to the bar for a nightcap and were greeted by Ed, a guy that really loves his job and his "office" which overlooks the lake. I had a Remy (served warm - yummy) and my host had an ice cold beer, Stone IPA I believe. We ended up staying and chatting with the bartender, a funny guy, and a few other members who were there for a quick bite at the bar. Yes, bar food in a country club! They wouldn't stop raving about the burgers! Dress is casual but neat. I was a little overdressed but felt right at home after removing my jacket and tie. All in all it was a great experience. Based on my visit, I look forward to returning. Next time I'll leave the suit and tie at home.

The moment my husband and I met Christian we felt welcomed and immediately connected. As a gay couple, you never know how you'll be received from vendors and Christian was incredibly friendly and accepting. We knew we were in good hands and that Blanc Noir would be the perfect DJ, and WOW, Christian went above and beyond for us. Not only did Christian make sure to play every song we wanted to hear, but he also made sure to not play all the songs we didn't want to hear, which in my opinion is just as important. Christian and his amazing team covered everything from sound during the ceremony, to music during the cocktail hour, and was also the perfect emcee for the evening. He did an amazing job of keeping the flow going, and the dance floor full! The biggest compliment from our wedding was how incredible the music and DJ was, and we give all of the credit to Christian and his team. We hope to plan many more parties in the future, and now know the best DJ in the area!

The nightmare started upon checking in where upon we were greeted by this smell that could only be described as a light aroma of a combination of vomit/body odor/and feces. I smelled this off and on throughout other parts of the hotel and I came to the conclusion that it must be something they are using to clean with. In fact, the m sitting in a small conference room/coffee area to write this and I smell this smell. I reserved two adjoining rooms and upon checking in about 1/2 hour before normal check-in time we were given two rooms on the first floor that were not adjoining. After questioning why we were not given adjoining rooms I was told it's not guaranteed--ok, fair enough so be aware of that. Our entire group all got rooms on the second floor. For some reason my rooms were on the first floor. Later in the night, I realized that having two of only four rooms on the first floor wasn't a good thing. Our rooms were right across the hall from a small conference room which doubled as a coffee station, an ice maker, and a major through-way exit door. I later found out that the kitchen was being renovated so that is why coffee was where it was. The bathroom was dirty, two tissues were left in the tissue box so by morning no tissues. Towels in bathroom are near the door instead of next to the shower so if you forget a wash rag or something after getting in the shower you need to traipse across the floor to get it. Also, the bathroom and closet door are shared by one barn door that doesn't lock and no exhaust fan either. Lastly, there was a large loud gathering in the lobby from about 1030 pm -2:00 am and since we were on the first floor, kept us up all night. In summary, I wouldn't waste my money staying here.
