My daughter and I love this place. We've stayed a couple of times and both times, have stayed in the King/King Suite. We both enjoy having our own space. :) The hotel is conveniently located in the lively French Quarter. It's one block away from Bourbon, and one block in another direction from Canal. Location: *chef's kiss* Our first time staying, we had a great view of the French Quarter. Our most recent stay, not so much. Our view overlooked a creepy parking lot, lol. Also, during this most recent stay, the room had an odor. Like, when you leave clothes in the washing machine too long. Check-in time is 4pm. However, you can let them know if you'll be arriving early and they'll do their best to accomodate. During both stays we arrived late morning and we were able to check-in almost immediately. Grateful for that! Thanks, Courtyard! There's a convenience store in the lobby with drinks, snacks, aspirin (I think they have Pepto Bismol and cold meds, too) and microwave meals if you'd like a lil somethin' but don't want to venture back out. The staff are great! Always pleasant, kind and helpful. Room service is good, too! During the first day of our first stay, I was hit in the evening by a pain in the butt headache from not drinking enough caffeine that morning. I'd gotten hOngry and ordered BBQ shrimp & grits and beignets. Deeeeeelicious! All of it! I also love the decor and the artwork by the elevators. There's a painting of a fox that just hypnotizes me. Something about those fox eyes. Would we stay there again? Ha, no question! Would I recommend? Absolutely! read more

The Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville is an excellent hotel and a fantastic choice for anyone visiting New Orleans. During a recent six-day stay, I had an outstanding experience from check-in to checkout. Upon arrival, I used the valet service, and every valet attendant I encountered throughout my stay was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. I felt completely comfortable leaving my rental car in their care. The parking garage is conveniently located just across the narrow French Quarter street, so retrieving your vehicle is quick and easy. Guests can also call ahead to have their vehicle waiting, which is a great convenience. The front desk team was equally impressive. Every time I entered the lobby, I was greeted with a smile. The staff went above and beyond during an unexpected power outage in the French Quarter caused by a transformer fire. They worked together to help me retrieve my vehicle from valet so I could make it to the airport on time. Their professionalism and teamwork during a stressful situation were truly appreciated. The hotel's main lobby is bright, modern, and very clean. Having a Starbucks and a well-equipped fitness center on the lobby level is an added bonus. Our suite exceeded expectations. It featured a comfortable living area with ample seating and a large television, making it feel more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room. The bathroom was spacious with a glass-enclosed shower, and the king bed provided the level of comfort I expect from a Marriott Bonvoy property. One detail I especially appreciated was the quality of the iron and ironing board--they were noticeably better than what most hotels provide. The suite also included a generously sized mini refrigerator, and microwaves are conveniently available in the common areas near the ice machines. The location is one of this hotel's biggest strengths. It's close enough to walk to all the excitement of the French Quarter, yet just far enough away to enjoy a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere when you're ready to unwind. Apologies that I forgot to take photos of the place, but we arrived after midnight and fell into bed. As an ambassador, I was disappointed to be placed in an interior room with a window looking directly into another window and concrete walls, but overall this was a good value and a great location. Located in the French Quarter and close to Canal Street and the street car, a little over a mile from Marigny/Bywater. The king suite was large, spacious, and clean. Bathroom with a tub. Bed was a little hard for my taste, but again clean and crisp linens. Equipped with a refrigerator to house booze or leftovers. Hallways can get a little loud with drunk people and slamming doors, but I imagine that's many places in NOLA. Secure. I didn't note any free breakfast (who wants hotel breakfasts in New Orleans anyway?), but there is a Starbucks in the lobby with plenty of seating. Front desk staff were alway kind and accommodating and did acknowledge my ambassador status (not that I care about that, but I know it's one of their metrics). Well stocked pantry with lots of drinks (gotta stay hydrated in New Orleans) and snacks and basic necessities. I got the ambassador 4 PM checkout without issue. read more

Great location in thy historic French Quarter if you want to be in walking distance to Bourbon Street, but not in heart of the party. No free breakfast. Parking options are valet or self parking. When I first walked in it was a lovely hotel. Love the decor and the location. The service was really great I would like to give a shout-out to Ariana who was very pleasant to work with and was very kind. Our room was very nice I had a lovely night sleep. The beds were very comfortable, the electric blinds were so cool to use. I also liked the little makeshift kitchen area in the center of the room. The closet was roomy enough to use, but very difficult because the hangers were connected to the rod so it makes it difficult to hang things up. For the bathroom and shower I wish we had two sinks and something to put your leg on so you can shave in the shower. They are very quick to come if you need to request something in the app. We needed shower caps, body lotion, more towels, and conditioner, and they answered our request within 10 mins. The duration of our stay was three days and two nights. The location of this hotel was perfect for the city. It was my first time visiting New Orleans and it's perfect walking distance to Bourbon Street. I was also able to match my status before my stay very quickly and was able to upgrade my room from a single king to a room with two king beds. This we loved because we were two people in one room. My only issue is the aftermath I had to deal with when I lost my sweater. They acted like they couldn't find it, and after two days from when I checked out and contacted them only a few hours after I checked out where they then able to find it. Now I'm dealing with this issue. They work with a company called "ilostmystuff" and are currently trying to charge me $100+ to retrieve it. I'm very upset with this part of the service, but the overall hotel stay was very pleasant. *Pro tip* - just don't forget anything at any hotel ever! read more

We chose this hotel because of the option of two king beds. This helped our family of four not kill each other for the few days we were there. The location is perfect and for being this close to the quarter, it is pretty quiet. You definitely need an eye mask if you are sleeping in the bed next to the window. I really didn't like the bathroom set up. As others mentioned, the bathroom is small and doesn't have a real door. There is no modesty at all when anyone is using the bathroom, as everyone else can hear what's going on. It is a good spot though and at this price, I would likely return. read more

You are right in the French quarters and close to all the bars and restaurants and excitement -fairly quiet from the street although you can definitely hear people from the hallways -24/7 small convenience store downstairs where there's drinks, small snacks and toiletries -beds are very comfy -mini fridge in all the rooms -can get a good rate here depending on when you visit NOLA. I came in December so we had an excellent rate. Cons: -this isn't the cleanest hotel room... my bedsheets have marks and some of the pillows have stains (ew!) -bathrooms are the smallest bathrooms ever! One person can fit and it's tight! There's also pocket doors for the bathroom instead of actual doors, -I pulled down the blackout curtain but it wasn't fully blackout... still light shining through. -very narrow hallways... one person at a time walking down. -can have rowdy neighbors read more

My wife and I came in town for a concert. This hotel is a block from the Saenger Theater. Location, no brainer. Booked at a good price, too. We got there (and every subsequent in/out) at the circle drive where the valet stand is. So you take an elevator up to the lobby. Check in, different elevator(s) to the guest floors. We had booked a suite with a king bed, for our three nights. The suite was smallish. Very clean. Quality climate control. Very comfy bed. Couple of downers, tho. Noise. You hear hallway noise. You hear plumbing noise from adjacent rooms. No noise privacy in the room. Bathroom setup could be better. Sink, lighting, mirror (for those that are shorter and need to do makeup). Also, no restaurant in house. There is 24/7 room service tho. And plenty of dining close by. Great location overall that is close to what you want to do in the French Quarter with an easy walk. Super great staff, too. So helpful and friendly. We'd likely stay here again all considered. read more

Overall, we were pretty happy with our stay here. We were nervous when we were checking in upon arrival and a cockroach ran across the front desk right in front of us. My daughter yelled- "Mom what's that!?" Ummm...... lol The lady checking us in swept it away with their business card. We're from California and I was hoping this was just a southern weather thing and not a cleanliness thing. We were on the 9th floor, and thankfully that check-in experience was our only experience with bugs. The room was actually very clean and roomy. We could hear no outside sound on that floor and the room stayed nice and dark with the shade. We got a double King room and it was so nice for us to have a separate area from the kids. Our room overlooked a construction site and a homeless encampment, but that's no fault of the hotels. Just something to note. The hotel has nice art throughout and offers breakfast for purchase. Getting to the rooms is slightly annoying because you have to take two different elevators. The location is perfect proximity to all of the great restaurants and night life in the French Quarter. We walked to the Aquarium, Canal St, the St Charles street car stops, many restaurants, etc. We felt the price was fair for the room and would stay here again. read more

We had such a pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott French Quarter. Our room and bathroom were big enough with lots of room to move around. The room was cleaned quickly and thoroughly daily. The location is great, walking distance from anywhere in the French Quarter but tucked along a quiet street. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gracious the whole time. One night I had a big fall on Bourbon Street (I'm sure they happens quite a bit) that I didn't realize cut me pretty deep until I was back at the hotel. I called the front desk at 1am to see if they had bandaids/first aid equipment and they brought up some bandaids and alcohol wipes within a few minutes. That was a nice gesture and so convenient, I was prepared to change again to run to a CVS nearby but they saved me that trip. We would for sure book this hotel again for a future trip to New Orleans. read more

It was only after realizing that the hotel i have booked originally offered earplugs at check in because of the noise on Bourbon Street, I pivoted to the Courtyard. I couldn't be happier that I did. The hotel is in the same building as the Ritz-Carlton and you have to get up to the second floor to check into the Courtyard, which isn't at all obvious anywhere. Though once you figure that out it's easy in and out. The staff was wonderful and the hotel is actually impressive. My room was clean and well maintained and a great location, close walk to Canal Street and the French Quarter. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly. read more

This hotel is amazing from top to bottom. I stayed here with a group of friends for a bachelorette weekend. From the time of booking to the time we checked out, our stay was amazing! We didn't have to park a car since we used ride share, but the valet parking attendants were so helpful with helping us navigate the area. The room is beautiful. We had a king suite with a pull out couch. The shower was beautiful and spacious. The bedroom had black out curtains! I loved this because I need it to be completely dark to sleep! This hotel is in a great spot, just footsteps from Bourbon Street. If visiting again, I'd definitely stay again. read more

We are staying at the Marriott French Quarter in New Orleans for a few nights before we continue on to Baton Rouge. From the time we got here until now which has been the first 24 hours I cannot rave enough about this beautiful place and its wonder staff. From check in to housekeeping to room service it has been 5 our opinion. Super quiet and was able to catch up on lost sleep for a ridiculous amount of hours the A/C works fantastic in this 95 degree heat on the 10th floor. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the shower is amazing fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash that will certainly last anyone their entire trip. We are attached to the Ritz Carlton Hotel, which is just literally a five minute walk never going outdoors to get inside that hotel. They offer room service for the Marriott and the food is fabulous. Stayed here for 4 nights and we loved this hotel. It's very nice and clean. The AC was strong and that's very helpful with the hot weather in NOLA. The gym was small but was sufficient. The room was spacious, clean and bright. The bathroom was also very clean and the shower water pressure was pretty strong which is pretty rare for hotels like this. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, not just at check-in but every time you pass the front desk. The front entrance was a little confusing to find at first (entrance doors are through the valet parking area). The rest of my review is based on concerns I had after reading other reviews before staying here. Some of the hallways to the hotel room were a little narrow if you were passing another guest with luggage, but really not that bad. The hallway noise was nonexistent to minimal. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom size would only be an issue if two people are trying to get ready at the same time. I had no problems with external light (the automatic blinds did their job well!) coming into the bedroom at night. I wish there was only one elevator, rather than one from the lobby to the hotel rooms and one from the lobby to the ground floor, but that was a minor issue. I'll definitely stay here again. read more

I was drawn to stay here because this location is really close to everything in the French Quarter. After watching all the Cops episodes while filming on Bourbon St during Mardi Gras, I knew this Courtyard was close but not too close, to all of the action. I got in a little early but my room wasn't ready so I was able to store my carry-on luggage on the first level - the attendant will give you a ticket. It's in a locked room, close to the car valet's podium. I requested a higher floor to avoid the street level noise. By the way, the friendliest people work here, I spoke to at least 3 people during the first 20 minutes of my arrival and they were all very customer focused. Generally speaking, everyone in New Orleans seemed to be very friendly, that was heart warming. My room was very quiet and the water pressure was excellent. There was also a little fridge which I used for left overs and beer. I know this is not their fault, but there was a sewer leak right above the lobby area. They worked on this for at least 2 days. Let's just say it was off putting and funky. If you were planning to meet with colleagues in the open areas of the lobby area - you couldn't do that, the smell was too strong. So aside from that negative sewage smell, day in and day out, I enjoyed everything else. The restaurants and bars were all close by, as was Bourbon St. I really don't know if I'd stay here again, maybe if I became a teenage mutant ninja turtle, I would consider it. read more

One important thing to note: we were here for seven nights, so we experienced quite a bit more than those who might stay for a night or weekend. First, for those contemplating booking here, the hotel entrance situation is super confusing. We had to "rescue" a handful of people during our stay, those who thought the elevator they were on would lead them to their room, but really only went between the lobby and the car park. To enter or exit, you have to take one of two elevators (purportedly two, our entire time there, only one elevator was in use) from street level to the lobby. From there, you go around the front desk to the three elevators servicing the rooms. The only other way to enter/exit would be to use the elevator attached to the Ritz next door, then exiting through their lobby...which, as you might guess, is not easy to navigate. We tried stairs once - y'all know me and my preference for stairs over elevators - but that was even worse. The stairs are in their multi-level garage, and there's no easy pedestrian exit. Thank goodness we randomly ran into one of the employees, who guided us to *an* exit (him: "just to warn, there will be large spiderwebs and stuff in that stairwell"), which was also not convenient. Seriously, what do they do in a fire when elevators are out of service? Our room was incredibly comfortable, but I'm not sure if we were given an upgrade due to my status or the length of our stay, or maybe both. The hallways are a bit twisty-turny, so I'm not really sure where our bedroom window was oriented, but we didn't have to contend with any street noise, for which I'm grateful. We had a large living room with a desk, couch, small fridge and bar sink. The bathroom was also spacious and bright, and the bedroom was easily sealed off from hotel noises with the barn door. The bed was comfortable, and can I just offer up a "hallelujah" for A/C? We got some really great sleep that week, and I'm sure that's a combo of the comfortable bed, the quiet room and the fact that we had the A/C on blast the majority of our stay. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty but worked fine for the two days we needed to be online for work. There was a bit of a hiccup with housekeeping, though. When we checked in, we were told that housekeeping would be every other day, but we didn't ask and they agent didn't confirm the schedule. I took it to mean every other day starting the day we checked in, but that was super wrong. We ended up missing housekeeping the first day because of that, but it wasn't a big deal, we don't like to make housekeeping come into our room often if we can avoid it. The other small things that happened were addressed and fixed by the staff right away. The first was we heard a loud grinding noise coming from around the bar sink area. We couldn't see anything, but noticed as we were heading out for dinner that night that there was a backup of what looked to be dirt and rocks in the sink. The other was that the outlet in the bathroom blew while we were gone; they came in to fix it, and that fix resulted in the little red reset button getting blown out of the socket the next time I plugged in. Again, both items were addressed and fixed with a quickness. Location-wise, you can't get much better. It's super close to Bourbon Street, without the noise of Bourbon Street. Our first night there, after a long day of travel and not eating (for me, at least), we took a stroll from the hotel to Bourbon to get our bearings: super easy to navigate and circumvent, if you're not feeling that vibe on a particular day. The staff was all accommodating, friendly and super welcoming. Like legit, they have that southern charm on display, and it was so appreciated. I heard them helping other guests with tour reservations and offering suggestions for restaurants, so I know they offer those services as well. Definitely would consider this hotel should we end up in NOLA for any length of time in the future. read more

No complaints.... As a Marriott member I've stayed in many however the hospitality & updated spacious rooms make this particular hotel extra special. Close to most must try restaurants & the trolley runs directly a block away. The staff made my trip. I was visibly not feeling well upon check-in and my wheelchair bound son was with me. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we safely got in our room, valet brought our luggage & menus for room service. Everyone was amazing kind & eager to assist throughout our entire stay. I stayed here for a girl's trip. On the positive side, it was clean, and they provided a pretty serious HEPA filter in my room because I have a sensitivity to fragrances. I appreciated the fragrance free sheets. However, I felt the front desk staff was rude. When I asked about getting a privacy door hanger, she told me she would try her best but couldn't guarantee one, and it shouldn't be a problem because I could just latch the door and housekeeping knocks before coming in. The gym was small. I liked the location where it was close to everything but on a quieter street. Overall it wasn't the best experience. read more

Great location! Staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable. Only complaints were that the carpet was in need of a cleaning, and they have no safe in the room. Also, our room was on street side, and even though we were on the 8th floor, there were people partying out on the street that we could hear late at night, and someone racing their car, but, hey, this is New Orleans. Our friends had a room on the other side of the hotel, and they did not hear any noise at night. Had an excellent weekend stay on the 10th floor in a double room. Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly, lobby was large with plenty of seating areas. Had a latte at the lobby bar one evening which was made sweeter by the kind gal working behind the counter (wish I'd gotten her name!). Location was excellent! We had no issue getting around on foot to local eateries and sights. Walked back from Frenchmen street in about 20 minutes one night. Another fun feature is the proximity- immediate neighbor- to the Ritz Carlton. We enjoyed a drink one eventing in the Davenport Lounge with some great live music! Staff much friendlier at Courtyard Marriott than the Ritz Davenport Lounge. :) read more

We needed a hotel for 2 weeks that wouldn't break the bank, close enough to walk to everything and secure enough to keep out the chaos and we got that here. We had a small group join us in staying in the hotel closer to Mardi Gras and the Courtyard would the best option for them too. 10/10 would stay here again and hoping in 2025 and 2028! Beautiful hotel in the French Quarter/Iberville area. Located just a short minute walk to Bourbon street. This is a good hotel option to be out of the craziness, but at the same time, right there. We stayed in a double king suite and it was comfortable. The first room we got smelled very strongly of mildew. We called the front desk and they were able to quickly give us a new room which smelled so much better. The hallways look a bit old and worn down, but all in all, it was great. You have to take two elevators to get to your room, so keep note of that. I read reviews stating the elevators were a bit sketchy, but we had no issues (thank goodness). This Marriott is classless the supervisor that I spoke with to help me with my problem no help at all. My flight was canceled on November 1 from New York. We were coming down for the weekend. I prepaid my room in advance and because of our flight was canceled. We were not able to make our stay. When I inquired. About at least offer for us a credit towards a future stay and said they couldn't help us at all and that it was clearly up to another supervisor don't waste your time there's. a lot of places way better than this hotel, which is a two star hotel she act like she was so thirsty to keep a lousy $300 instead of extending as a courtesy because of the government shut down and flights being canceled. we previously stayed at this at this place because it was cheap and you get what you pay for a cheap customer service. There are so many other hotels in this area to choose a hotel that's accommodate you when everything doesn't work out. New Orleans survives off of hospitality. Without tourism, you be jobless . And the hotel is not refurbished. The beds are old. The bathrooms are old. The curtains are broke. Basically you get what you pay for. read more

I generally enjoy my stays at Courtyard by Marriott. There were a few glitches here and there, but overall I thought this hotel fit the bill. The best part of this hotel was that it was walking distance to many of our activities for the week. Some walks were a little longer than others, but we enjoyed seeing the sites of this area. Bourbon St is only a hop away, but far enough that you don't hear all of the noise nor see all of the people which was fine by me. Many eating establishments close by. If you forgot to bring something, CVS was also a short walk away. LOVED the computer area because you can print up your tour tickets. The amenities in our room were much appreciated, especially the packets of coffee and tea. The two TVs was a nice touch so that we didn't have to share. My only complaint was that the couch wasn't a pullout bed like I was originally told. It was VERY uncomfortable. Thank Goodness my kids didn't mind taking turn sleeping on that thing. I called to complain about the misinformation, but nothing was offered to fix the problem. read more

I have never been to a hotel where they charge you for WIFI, usually at any upscale hotel it's free. Secondly this place put so many unauthorized holds on my account $1000 dollars to be exact. Thirdly when booking i asked about free parking and was told yes, but when I arrived it was $50 a day. Not only that the mini kitchen they advertise for in room service only comes with a small refrigerator, and you must go to the lobby if you would like to use a microwave because there is none in the room. Now even though I paid $50 a day for valet parking when I called from my room to have my car brought out that never happened. I always had a wait as the valet was understaff so the calls that were answered went with no action. We stayed here for 3 nights during a short getaway to New Orleans. We booked our stay with Bonvoy points and got a good redemption for a mini suite which was small but comfortable with a sofa, TV and desk in one room and the bed in the other room. Our room was located on the inside of the building which was very quiet but only window looked out into a drab courtyard. The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the French Quarter with tons of restaurants, bars, and nightlife within a short walk. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly - I would definitely stay here again when coming back to NOLA read more

When I arrived I immediately remembered staying at this property when it was the Iberville Suites about 6 or 7 years ago. This was great because I remembered the rooms being spacious and clean and since I was with fewer people I was happy to be staying. From the outside, it looked the same except for the name/brand change. There's an elevator on the main level that takes you up to the lobby. Check-in was fast and pleasant and then I was off to the room. The room was also familiar but not in a great way. It looked like the carpet was the exact same from the previous brand. If it wasn't, I'm not sure how it got so visibly filthy in the last few years. I know it's NOLA and always damp but the room smelled like mildew. It was so bad I had to get air fresheners. I checked out a colleagues room and it had the same smell. Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick and staying in most of the trip. The other unfortunate part was having to stay in that uncomfortable bed. It was the thinnest hotel bed I've ever slept in and I felt every coil. Between the bed and the carpet, I'm not sure which was older. Despite not having the best room, I will say the customer service from everyone including the food area attendant and the front desk crew was amazing. They're the reason this lackluster visit gets 3 stars and not less. read more

I stayed here during NYE at a pretty ridiculous rate considering that this is a Courtyard hotel. Not a JW; Not a regular Marriott; Not a Marquis; not a Ritz; A COURTYARD! But hey, supply and demand, right? It was NYE and the Sugar Bowl was going on so everything is all booked up and it drove the rates up. I came to the hotel early, I'd say around 11 am to try and see if I could check in early. No go. But I did give them my phone number so they could call or text me when a room became available. I went back to the hotel where I had stayed the night before, Le Meridien, and grabbed my traveling buddy and our luggage and came back to Courtyard to drop the luggage off. We went out for lunch, do a little sightseeing, watched the Bama/Clemson parade and whatnot until it was pretty late during the day. So we decided to go back to the hotel to see if a room had become available. I was really expecting not because I had given them my number and I'd be sorely disappointed since nobody had texted me. But guess what? Yeah, they did have the room available. I guess they just conveniently chose to forget to text me. Whatever. Our room was your typical hotel room. If I remember correctly, it was up on the 4th floor. The view outside the window was meh because, well, it was close to the quarter. So my only view was the street and the building across the street. The beds were your typical Courtyard beds so they were comfortable. However, during my stay here I couldn't get a good night's sleep. AND THIS WAS AFTER I HAD GONE OUT DRINKING!! Why? Well because all night long you could hear the sound of the wind whooshing. ALL. NIGHT. LONG! I turned the TV on just to try to drown the whooshing noise to no avail. I finally fell asleep, but it was no way a good sleep for me. After paying over $500 for ONE NIGHT (after taxes and whatever), I was expecting a better customer service and definitely a better sleep. I do not recommend staying here. I stayed here for 5 nights. Overall this hotel is not up to regular Marriott standards. Let me explain the issues and then let you in on pointers/positives. -The beds/mattresses were absolutely atrocious. Very uncomfortable. They felt like thin, extremely lumpy futon mattresses. -The bedding was a bit dirty on arrival. After we made it dirtier during our stay, we figured for sure housekeeping would change the bedding. They did not. -Upon arrival, a light bulb was out (the rooms were quite dark to begin with, so it was necessary). Granted, they promptly sent someone to fix it but it was a bit uncomfortable having the employee in our room doing that. -The room had two phones, neither one worked. Therefore it eliminated the ability for us to call and get it fixed, order food for room service, call the front desk, get housekeeping. Thank goodness we didn't have an emergency and needed to use the phone. -Staff was very cold and did not engage with guests. They seemed bothered and disinterested to help any guests that I saw. -This was a milestone birthday vacation for me. They did nothing to acknowledge it. Other Marriotts or hotel brands have given something like room upgrades, a bottle of champagne, drink tickets for the bar, a food treat of some kind. This place didn't even give me a bottle of water or a card. Absolutely nothing. -The valet and baggage hold outside was usually unstaffed. We had to wait a long time to get a staff member to hold our bags and then again to get our baggage back. We took lyfts and didn't have our own car, but good luck to you if you have a car you need valeted or wanted help with a taxi. -Bring shampoo. On vacations I usually just use whatever the hotel has. But for some reason this hotel has bodywash-conditioner-bodywash in that order in the showers. It's weird. And the products weren't good. -The air conditioning barely worked. It was hard to keep a good, comfortable temperature. -We had a two bedroom suite, and there was not a single full length mirror. Unless you are a very tall man, you couldn't really see into almost any mirror they had. It seemed more for decoration and not about function. I was only able to see myself from neck up. And barely at that. Even the shower head was up so high, I needed help to adjust it. -There are no safes in the rooms to hold your valuables. -Overall, this hotel was horrible and the rooms were not nice. For the positives: This hotel is connected to the Ritz Carlton. So in some ways it is possible to share ammenities. If you go out the ritz carlton side, you can use their nice bathrooms, use their staff to get a taxi, have a drink at their bar (which sometimes has live music), take a couple of their free water bottles, happen upon a time when they give out free mini Beignets in the lobby, grab a bottle of champagne from their vending machines, or sit and read a book in their nice library lounge area. It felt awkward to do so, but it was the only thing that made the Marriott Courtyard tolerable to be honest. Hope this review helps others who are trying to make travel plans! read more

Nice hotel! It's in a nice location within the French quarter. A very short walk to Bourbon street, without having to directly deal with the nightmare that is, Bourbon Street. The lobby is located on the second floor, so you have to take the elevator up one floor. As for the lobby, there's plenty of seating for small meetings, working on your laptop, sitting in a booth with a tv, or just hanging out to drink coffee. This is where you can buy pastries, some alcohol and Starbucks branded coffee (pour it yourself). On the way to the elevators you will pass by the gym. For a hotel, it's really not bad. About 6 pieces of cardio equipment and then a decent selection of weights. The gym is 24 hours, room key needed of course. WiFi is complementary and no password needed. We had a 9th floor room facing east. It was a completely unobstructed view (granted there wasn't a whole lot to see), but it was nice to look out nonetheless. What was surprising was how all of the rooms are more like 'suites' in other hotels. Upon entering we had a small kitchen area (fridge, sink, coffee machine). Then there was a sofa and a tv. Proceeding on to the bedroom area. The bed was comfy enough, could probably add a few more pillows but that's minor. The bedroom also has another tv, a bedside radio/alarm, and nightstands. A good sized closet. Then an area with a desk, phone, Ethernet connection. We had been assigned a disabled room (not sure why), and it wasn't an issue until the bathroom. While spacious, the shower situation was an issue. It is a fun/shower combo and as you can see in the picture, the maximum height for the shower was just far too low, even when adjusted to the top. I literally had to duck down to wet my head. Towels were also not great. They were also super thin and felt like cardboard. We were in town for The Eras Tour and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean, the view was great, the location was convenient! We loved that we could grab a quick breakfast and coffee in the morning. The absolute most extra was the bracelet making station they had set up! They also had several photo backdrops. We loved the extra effort they put into making the Swifties feel welcome! read more
