I cannot say enough great things about this hotel! Beautiful, clean Location is great, walking distance to bourbon street but far enough that you don't have to deal with all the people and noise. First time in New Orleans came out to celebrate my birthday and the staff made us feel like family. Checked in at around 1pm on a Thursday and Sean took us in like we were family! He made the process as smooth as it could possibly go. Once we were checked in and came back down he hand wrote a list of all the must things to see/eat! I've traveled a lot and never have had that type of hospitality. Since it was my birthday they also surprised me with a bottle of champagne and another handwritten note. Hands down will be staying here when I return to visit this beautiful city.

Came for a wedding and this venue was perfect! I loved that the couple had their reception in a hotel, and the reception area didn't even look like a hotel! The main room with the dance floor, bar, and main seating was very industrial looking. Exposed brick and warehouse vibes were just great. There were huge windows and the ceiling was very high. It was a good size for the wedding I was at, like 100 people, so I didn't feel that I was crammed into there. Outside of the main room, there were four other rooms with tables. In those rooms, there was different food options, and the food was amazing along with the servers. Then, in the middle of everything there was a cigar rolling table, another bar, and the cake. There were also restrooms right there, which there was a lot of stalls and they were perfectly clean throughout the night. This venue rocked! It was so clean, and I loved how the staff constantly picked up empty drinks and plates. They also walked around with handheld light bites and hamburgers and fries. The location was great. We parked in the parking garage right around the corner. I would totally come back to stay or even for another wedding.

Nopsi is the BEST place to stay in New Orleans, it's located right where you need to be, blocks from all the action, but far enough away for peace and quiet. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate and it's by far the best bed I've ever slept in. The views from the rooftop bar are amazing and the service is superb. Nopsi is the only option when I'm in New Orleans, it's a 5 star experience each and every time!

The NOPSI hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff was extremely nice and helpful upon arrival. We were given 2 bottles of water at check in. We arrived in the evening and there was live music in lobby. There bar area in the lobby and a restaurant . The room was nice and clean. I loved the vanity area. My husband loved it too because I had an area to keep all my makeup and toiletries out of his way lol. The shower was huge and they had a his and her sink/mirror. The hotel utilizes "Watson" you can text requests or ask questions via your phone. I utilized that service a few times and they were pretty fast with responding. There is also a phone in the room so I'm pretty sure you can call the Concierge too. The location of the hotel is perfect! We were able to walk to alot of the places we wanted to go to (Bourbon St, French Quarter, & Canal St). There is a rooftop pool and bar. We went in January so it was not open. However, we went upstairs to take a peek. It looks like it would be alot of fun in the summer. Staff was extremely welcoming. The bellmen/women were always nice and willing to assist.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I stayed here for my birthday. The door man was very respectful, nice and attentive. The room was beautiful. We had the room with a balcony and the view was beautiful as well. I wish we would've stayed longer, but our overall experience was AMAZING. We wasn't sure if the two glasses of wine the front desk mentioned was complimentary or not, but the red wine was pleasant. We enjoyed the roof top bar, while we enjoyed a few glasses of wine. The room is spacious and we enjoyed the privacy we received on the balcony. Most definitely will be booking again for a longer staycation. By far one of my favorite hotels. They were able to give us an early check in which was amazing, because my friend planned and booked the hotel. He needed the extra time to decorate before I arrived and he said everyone he came in contact with was very nice and helpful ! I love that the room had the mountain valley spring water which is my favorite water type !

We stayed here for 8 days and the hotel itself was great. We had a suite and it was spacious and quiet. The room was clean (a few areas could be cleaner - like behind the couch cushions was filled with crumbs and hair) and the staff were all friendly. The location is great and we were able to walk to everything. The problem lies with the billing. We prepaid our stay through capital one travel but we're still ALSO charged fully for our stay by NOPSI, so basically double paid. We also had someone else's meal charged to our room and are having to go through resolving that as well. If you stay here, closely watch you bill and credit card. We are still waiting for it to be resolved. Accidents happen with billing but since we were there for so long we are talking about almost 4k in additional charges. Updating review to four stars as billing issue was resolved but I still had to email/call multiple times to resolve it.

I've been to Nopsi a few times but I never noticed they had a pool until I came for a drag show. It was a drag show/ pool party. The drinks were flowing and the music was just right.

I loved how everyone was very friendly. Walking into the hotel, you're greeted with an open lobby, which was spacious. The bathrooms downstairs were clean. I didn't want to stay at a chain hotel but more or less a hotel that was in the area only. It seemed as if the hotel was filled with the culture. The rooms were updated, but you can also tell that the hotel had been around for some time, which was perfect. I had a few concerns about the hotel after reading the reviews, so i called to ask a few questions. Rosey answered the phone, and before i could further explain the reason for my call. She assured me that everything in the reviews was already taken care of. Lucky for us, Rosey was there when we checked in. This trip was to celebrate my sisters birthday and when I tell you EVERYONE made her feel special, I mean it. She was overjoyed with all of the love. The only issue we had was with the restaurant. It seemed like it took a long time for our food to come out. Other than that, we didn't have any complaints. Make sure to check out this hotel if you're in the area. It's within walking distance to pretty much everything. * It should also be noted that the hotel has a microwave in the lobby. I didn't know, so I ended up leaving my food at the restaurant because I had no way of heating it up.

Outstanding! NOPSI is by far our favorite hotel when in Nola. We enjoy the plush beds and excellent customer service. The bar serves strong drinks and a jazz brunch menu on weekends is a sweet touch. It's super clean , spacious with large bathrooms. Special events occur on holidays and the icing on the cake is the amazing roof top bar. Ask for a free wine voucher and enjoy! We came for New years and fell in love we returned around Mardi Gras.

Got here for check in just after 4pm & the room was not ready. When we finally got to the room it was full of mold on the curtains around the window & a big wet spot on the carpet. Manager was disrespectful & not willing to do much to remedy the situation.

Ask the Community - NOPSI Hotel

Is this place at all child friendly? We'll be traveling with a 3 yo.

The pool (not sure if it's still open) would be great but other than that, it leans towards adults.

Do I have to be a guest to go to rooftop pool and bar?

Would be best to call the hotel and ask them, things are different now.

Can I bring a cake to the rooftop bar?

I'm sure you could but there isn't a ton of outdoor seating so I'd be sure to get there early.

Great location, great price, great staff, and great views if you choose the garden. We spent two nights, one before and one after a cruise with Carnival. We arrived in town a few hours before checking and the accommodated us wonderfully! They had a room ready and waiting for us 2 hours before checking in! Then upon arriving back from our cruise we arrived back and port and off the boat by 8:30 am. Our plan was to check our bags in and walk around until check in. The man at the front desk said absolutely not, checked us in upon arrival at 9 am at no extra cost, and allowed my boys and I to rest from the lack of sleep we had from the night before because of rocky seas. This hotel is the personification of "if you respect the staff they will respect you"! Like all old buildings and those that have seen the hurricane in 2005, the hotel has its issues. We did have toilet running and cold shower issues, but to me this was a small price to pay for the respect and kindness the staff showed us during our stay! I highly recommend and hands down one of the best hotels in NOLA. This is my new hotel whenever I stay in New Orleans going forward!

Paint in the room was chipping, mattress was stained, but overall these were things we could ignore. However, something we couldn't ignore while using the bathroom in the middle of our first night, was that we found we weren't alone. There were 3+ cockroaches hanging out near the tub and a few scurried away before we could kill/photograph them. The next morning we went to the front desk, got our refund and switched hotels. Front desk staff was AWESOME, so kind and quick to help us. However, after we asked to cancel our stay and went back up to the room to get our bags and leave, one of the hotel housekeepers decided to come up to our room and "confront us". She wanted us to show her the cockroaches (that we had killed and flushed) and tried telling us she's never seen a cockroach at Hotel Le Marais before, basically calling us liars. Lol, well, here's some pictures to prove it. Let's ask the audience. Positives: The front desk staff was exceptional. Very helpful, very kind and knowledgeable. It's located close to Bourbon and has a nice courtyard. Negatives: ROACHES IN THE ROOMS, confrontational housekeeper, thin walls.

We booked this hotel based on the Yelp & Google reviews and Reddit recommendations…read more The only PRO of staying here is the location. It is very conveniently located to Bourbon Street. The 2 things I care most about when staying in a hotel is a comfortable night's rest and a good bathroom/shower. The bed in our room was the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on in my entire life. It was so mushy that when you laid your head down, you sunk so far into it that your legs were literally 45 degrees above your head. I ended up sleeping upside down in the bed with my head where your feet go in order to feel even remotely comfortable. The pillows were all extremely flat, when you put your head on one it sank so far your face was about 1/2 inch from the mattress. I had to use 3 pillows stacked on each other. I had a stiff back, neck and joints the entire time we were there. The 2nd issue was hot water. The first morning, we attempted to shower, it only got barely luke warm for me and when my husband showered immediately after he only got ice cold water. We stopped at the front desk that morning on our way out for the day and told the woman at the front desk. She said she hadn't received any other complaints so it must be specific to our room and she would send engineering there to look at it. (we were getting hot water in the sink). Later that evening when we returned to our room, we immediately tested the shower again and it was still ice cold. So we went back to the front desk to check if engineering had come. We spoke to the same woman from the morning who acted like it was the first time we were telling her this and she said the exact same thing. I asked if they were going to come ASAP because we needed to shower soon and we couldn't take ice cold showers. She ignored my question and answered the ringing phone. A manager happened to be at the desk and overheard our conversation. He asked what our room number was and said that because of the old building and the pipes the hot water takes longer to get there. He said this was a KNOWN Issue by the staff, management and the owner. He told us to run the shower for AT LEAST 15 to 20 minutes, simultaneously with the sink and it should get hot. He also offered to move us to a different room but when I asked if he could guarantee if we wouldn't have the same problem in that room he couldn't give me a straight answer. We had already unpacked everything and didn't want to go through that hassle without a guarantee. So we went back to the room and let it run for 20 minutes and it eventually got hot. So for the remaining 3 mornings, we had to set our alarms for 30 minutes earlier so we could get up and run our shower before hand. For nearly $300 a night, we felt that this was ridiculous. Old building or not, if its a problem, then either don't put people in those rooms, or get it fixed somehow. Why should anyone be subjected to an ice old shower or an inconvenience to their time because the owner hasn't done anything about it? We visited the hotel Bar, the Bourbon O'bar 3 times during our stay and each time we received TERRIBLE service. None of the bartenders were friendly to us, in fact they were pretty rude. Each time it took them at least 10 minutes to even take our order (by standing there and looking at us and not saying anything). The bar was not busy or crowded any of these times. They would then start making one of our drinks, put it down and make other people's drinks, leave and go into a back room, play on their cell phone, talk to each other, or carry the glass around while doing other things. My husband ordered an old fashioned and the alcohol was sitting in the jar with the ice for over 5 minutes while the bartender carried it around doing other things, causing it to get watered down. When making a cocktail, it should be completed from start to finish without doing other things in the middle. I ordered the Mardi Drop cocktail on 2 different days. The first time, it was actually very good. The 2nd time from a different bartender it was horrible .He also sprinkled probably a tablespoon of cinnamon on top of it (which the first didn't have) which made it nearly undrinkable. I had to stir it into the martini in order to not get a mouthful of cinnamon with each sip. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant Roux because of the bad Yelp reviews - we felt we could get a better breakfast elsewhere outside the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all unless you don't care about being comfortable or friendly service.

But if you're there to party hard on Bourbon Street at all the touristy bars, then you will be in your element. Depending on the side of the hotel you select when booking your room and the days you choose, you may be able to get away with just a sound machine and earplugs, or you may be getting too old and need to look elsewhere. If you stay on the courtyard side, you should have enough barriers to deflect the nonstop barrage of noise coming from all the bars and clubs on Bourbon Street, especially between Bienville and St. Ann, on a Friday and Saturday night particularly. We had a room on the third floor with a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street that gave us a great view and the opportunity to enjoy wine and cocktails as the festivities picked up steam throughout the afternoons of our stay. The bed was wicked comfortable. The set of drawers had plenty of space to put clothes with a small fridge for keeping drinks cool and leftovers from spoiling. The closet space was ample and was able to fit all of our hang-up clothing and our suitcases. There was a nice lounge chair next to the desk to chill if you didn't want to sit on the balcony. However, the bathroom was cramped and narrow with these weird double doors that could cause trouble if you are going to do business in the middle of the night. The water pressure wasn't great either and if you don't have the curtain positioned right then you're going to have a puddle. Housekeeping did come by to change our linens and provide fresh towels every day, which was appreciated. The front desk was very affable and accommodating, especially with holding out luggage when our room wasn't quite ready yet to check-in. And I liked that there was a security person checking people that were actually staying at the hotel to avoid stragglers, random drunks, and transients from entering. I didn't have the chance to use the pool while I was there, but we were busy walking around the French Quarter to really care. Same went with having anything in the restaurant for food. They did have the little mini mart on the ground floor that worked for when we needed more bottles of water that were larger than the complimentary ones. Accommodations at the hotel were solid, but just know if you stay here, you're experiencing the full Bourbon Street treatment. It is always loud at night, especially, on the weekends.
