Exactly what I expect from a Courtyard by Marriott. Clean, comfortable and friendly. I had a great experience during my stay. I was greeted warmly at check in and was in my room in no time. The room was clean and set to a comfortable 70 degrees. TV had the streaming feature so that was nice. I got to keep watching my shows while I got some work done in the evening. The only reason I gave 4 stars is they haven't modernized and added USB port ports but luckily I had brought my USB wall plug. WiFi was fast and consistent. I'll definitely stay again. read more

A really nice hotel for the Lafayette area. The front desk staff are excellent! Friendly and helpful. My room is spacious with a nice desk. Plenty of outlets, and very good lighting. I travel for work so these things are important to me. The bed is very comfortable, The shower is wonderful. The Bistro offers a fairly extensive menu, and there are more breakfast options than I had expected. The food is really good and so is the service. This is a very convenient location, with many restaurants and some shopping nearby. I frequently work in Lafayette and this will be my hotel of choice from now on. read more

I chose this location for the convenience to Purdue's campus and surrounding retail. I also selected it because it gave us the option to have a pull out bed in case my college student wanted to stay in the hotel with us (which he did). Great location, clean and convenient. But service was an issue. Issue 1: I asked how much was late check out and how late it would be...was told I could not do it and was given a vague reason. Issue 2: Asked for blanket for the pullout (there was none in the room) and was told they will try (found one after 45 minutes). Last issue: we asked for an extra towel for my son and was told they may not have any but found some clean ones in a dryer. For all issues, there were no apologies or reasonable explanations, just unclear excuses. Given that this location has overall good reviews, this may have been an unusual situation but it was a mediocre experience for us. Our stay was for one night on Oct 11. read more

We threw a baby shower at this venue, and it was fantastic. We were blown away by the quality of the service and the food that we ordered through the hotel catering. In the weeks leading up to the event, we were continuously adjusting our menu as more guests RSVP'd late and making various requests, and Kim Hawkins was phenomenal in making every change we needed. She was also so responsive via cell the weekend of the event and even came in on her day off to check on us. Zeke was very helpful the day before and the day of the event on making sure we had everything we needed for set-up, and overseeing the food service. Our server for the afternoon, Jessie, was incredible -- she worked hard the entire shower long making sure the food was perfect and the drinks kept full. We received many compliments from guests on the spread -- we went with an assortment of their appetizers, and the chef even created mini sandwiches (tea sandwiches and mini croissant sandwiches) off menu for us. I did not get the chef's name but we absolutely loved the food. Highly recommend! read more

Stayed in this place 3 months ago and thought I left a review, so I return to offer my perspective. Visitors and employees not wearing masks, and neither are visitors in the common areas nor were they practicing social distancing which was problematic. I observed the Bar tender on duty, and he was a friendly fella. Room felt clean, however, while preparing to brush my teeth, I saw an extremely long hair sitting in the sink, Good think I use towels to place on the sink for my personal effects. I picked up the long curly with a napkin Abe took it to the manager on duty at check out, her face said it all as she quickly offered a discounted on my rate. My response, "No Discount required, issue me points!" She agreed, and months later.... NOTHING. Wow, I feel like a valued patron. Back to Hilton branded property. read more

I did not have high hopes for this hotel, but had a wonderful experience! Check in was easy and fast; the staff wear masks and have some plexiglass protection. The room itself was lovely and felt very clean. I was upgraded to a deluxe room without even asking, which was nice. The decor seemed updated and I was pretty happy with the room overall! The bathroom was clean and also fancy/modern. I paid $5.00 for speedy internet which was great for working. The front desk was also accommodating about me staying an extra 2 hours past the checkout time. I would stay here again. read more

Service and staff were not overly helpful. Cleaning service, including a poor cleaning of the bathroom was their standard. Didn't even clean one day or leave fresh towels on any days. Didn't even clean or replace used cups and glasses on any days. It was a holiday weekend so the lack of service could be attributed to staffing levels, but still not acceptable. read more

BE CAREFUL using a credit card at the café inside. I left a $1 tip for a single cup of coffee and they doubled it. I noticed it when I proved out my charge slips to my statement. This was a replacement hotel for us after a horrible experience at our first hotel (Days Inn, Anderson, Indiana) for the National FFA Convention last week. We arrived just before midnight with a tour bus-load full of high school FFA members who'd had a long day. The manager on duty met us with all of our cards ready, marked, and ready to divvy up between all of the kids. Our school had ordered up a buffet style breakfast set up for the next morning so the kids could all eat before we headed out on our final day before heading back to Ohio. The staff was very helpful in finding the buffet (it was down by the ballroom areas), and helped me to get back into the hotel after I inadvertently locked myself on the patio by he buffet area (after needing to get air due to a headache); they even fixed the door while I was there. The staff at the Starbucks/breakfast area was also very helpful and friendly, even while very busy with the morning busyness of folks preparing to head out for the day. This location is 15 minutes from Purdue's campus, so it was a short drive for our quick drive-by tour of their campus. If I'm in the area again for a Purdue-related event, I'll be sure to check into this hotel. read more

For several years, a large group of friends has stayed at this property for a 4-day reunion. We enjoy the rooms, the fire pit, the food, and the front desk staff. We have never been disappointed in what the Courtyard has to offer. This year, we were particularly impressed with an employee who went far above his job requirements to help us. Mercer - a member of the restaurant staff - was incredibly personable and efficient. We were so very appreciative of his efforts to make us feel welcome and to meet our needs as a visiting group. My review is for events held at the Courtyard, as I have not had the need to book a room here because I live here. I've been to three different meal-based events here - two table service and one buffet. The facility is very nice with plenty of room for small to medium-sized events. There is a separate entrance from the hotel. The parking lot is a bit smallish tho. There is a first floor large area that can be configured into smaller rooms, and upstairs there is a conference room that can be used full or divided into two smaller rooms. The food I've had here has been all good, no complaints. My most recent visit was for their Mother's Day event. The price was fair, but would have been nice to have a cash bar for mimosas and other alcoholic drinks. We spoke to the manager (who made it a point to visit each table and speak to the patrons). She was pleasant to talk to, I'm sure she is the one who books events. I think she would be easy to work with for your event. There is also a very large outdoor patio area that can be used with the indoor hall. It's large enough to set up a band and the hotel has the capability of putting up a pavilion if you're worried about the weather, or if you just like that. Not sure how long your music could go on because they do have hotel patrons. I would not hesitate to have a reception or other type of event here. read more

As far as Courtyards go, this one is top notch because it is brand new. The rooms and lobby areas are comparable (and in some cases better) to those of Hyatt Places and the food was definitely better here. I generally agree with reviewer Justin M, I had never been to this area before and if it weren't for this hotel the whole trip would have sucked. This particular Courtyard does not face the freeway and is far enough back from the main road that noise should not be an issue. I also loved that the heating was a central forced air system and not one of those clanky window type units (this is difficult to find in ANY hotel). My bathroom had a nice tiled shower stall and no tub which is what I prefer. If you stay at this Courtyard, try out the cranberry apple oatmeal, its really delicious! I did not know there would also be raisins in it so next time I will tell them to hold off on those but this seemed to be an popular breakfast choice. Its a big cappuccino cup with oatmeal and a generous dollop of apple crumble and dried cranberries on top which sweetens it perfectly. I had reserved my room under the breakfast rate so I got mine included in my room. The business lounge was much more comfortable and somewhat private than I expected, this was a plus and by the end of my stay I was looking forward to my next visit to a Courtyard. read more

The staff at this hotel were wonderful!!!!! I stayed here as part of a group so I can't comment on room pricing but the staff was exceptional!!!! I particularly want to mention how wonderful the Bistro staff was- in particular Teht and Rose. They were friendly and helpful and all the food was wonderful but they also were so accommodating to my group. They kept the bistro open late for us by 2 hours, it really was going above and beyond. The facilities in the hotel are nice, the pool was on the small side but very clean and my friends who used the hot tub loved it! this area is not the best if you don't have a car. There is a Walmart and some restaurants withing walking distance but that is about it. read more

I was in West Lafayette last month visiting Purdue and got a great deal to stay here. The place is brand-spanking new so it has a lot of really cool features with the business traveler in mind. They have this sort of food court feel to their dining area. The neat thing is that they have tv's and wifi in these neat booths, very cool. It's a neat idea if you are traveling for business. You have the option of being sociable or keeping to yourself in the lobby restaurant. But you can also enjoy the selection as roomservice to enjoy the wifi or TV in the comfort of your room. The room was really nice, I liked the roll out desk. I bed was so comfy. It was a room with an adjoining room, y'know with the 2 locking doors between. I knew there was someone in the room next door because he walked out when I was walking in. I never heard anyone. It was so quiet, I slept like a baby. I have to say the service was amazing. Being the big jerk Chicagoan that I am, I was an hour behind. I thought I had another 45 mins to get breakfast downstairs, but really I was 15 minutes late. They had just shut everything down before lunch. They were amazing they totally went out of their way for my breakfast and did it so quickly. Everyone on the staff was amazing, they were accomodating from having information for me about getting to Purdue, directions for parking once I got on campus, yet very efficient about it. I do have to note because it was so odd. Everytime I walked through the front doors of the hotel lobby I smelled Kielbasa. That's a really distinct scent and only in that distinct spot. I didn't smell it throughout the lobby and I didn't see it on the menu. I checked in at 8pm ish, I guess that was a reasonable time. but I smelled it the next day at 10am. It was really odd. It was a welcoming smell, I love the smell of kielbasa but it was odd. Maybe they have a very individuallized smell of home for each guest. That may be my deep seeded comfort smell. read more

I can't believe i'm giving a marriott courtyard, 5*, but I am. We visited here in Dec 2010 to see that sh**ty college in west lafayette. The hotel is very up to date in the lobby with a variety of business PCs to check email and so forth and a nice lounge. The room we had was also new with a flat screen, an extremely comfortable bed and a large room. The location is great as it's a few minutes from campus, right off 65 and has a variety of restaurants near by. If we had to come to this part of town again (which we never hope to do), we would absolutely stay here. read more

Overnight stay at the Courtyard Kokomo. Only stayed 1 night; already had a resv for the next several nights down in Carmel. But if it wasn't for Marriott's 2 day cancellation policy; I would have stayed longer at the Courtyard. Very nice Courtyard. Hotel appears to have gone through a renovation recently and it was a nice one. Room looks great; a little tight, but that's how a lot of older Courtyards are. Really liked the room furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. Awesome flat panel TV. Internet worked great; no problem streaming video services. Lobby looks great and the front desk staff was very pleasant and inviting. Hotel had an evening social; beer and wine. Nothing bad to stay. Let's just say; way better than the Hampton down the street. Defiantly would stay here again. read more

The manager (Mat Frantz) even called me. They had someone take it to FedEx, put it in a lap top box, and FedExd it to me, for free. (I did pay the shipping). My first room had a leak, they did get me a second room. The bigger issue was the booking at the conference center. I hosted a meeting for 24hours, one day, I was charged for two days of the room. They did not set up any food on Sunday, I had to find somebody to go set up food, no apology. I told the person I booked my event with, John, that I didn't want my company name on the board they put it on the board, I went and complained and it never got taken down. All the catering food was below average and poor quality, my box lunch sandwich looked like it was on Wonder Bread from the supermarket. Not one sales manager ever came down to check on our event, despite all 4-5 of them sitting in the office. I have two more future meetings in Lafayette and will not be re-booking atvthe Courtyard conference center. read more

This hotel is right next to high voltage power lines and a major highway. Use to stay here quite often because it was new, clean and modern but the last few trips the place has gone down hill. Imagine coming back to your room after a long day and realizing your room Never got made and no clean towels.... well it happen to us!!! You can find a better hotel in the area. read more

There's even a mini-fridge in the room, which was convenient, although I had to unplug it in the middle of the night because it was making buzzing noises that were disrupting my sleep. Everyone is paying $120+ per night and you can't even buy the right dumbell rack for the fitness center? They have a Life Fitness dumbell rack but Intek dumbbells, so the dumbbells have to be left all over the floor because the dumbbells are too tall to fit on the rack. read more

Not an awful hotel, but plenty of room for improvement. For starters i've stayed in several rooms on the 3rd floor and you're lucky if you can get the shower door to stay shut. I had my significant other prop it shut for me with the wooden table under the bathroom counter. This most recent stay was better but now that it shuts it still can't contain the water so I had my girlfriend do flood control because the door has a a good centimeter or so where the water runs down the door and rockets out. So she rolled up a towel to absorb the masses of water pouring out. Not sure what breakfast they had to offer but for $10 I sure hope it's good because the holiday inn's rooms are cheaper and they can still afford to feed you oatmeal. Sheesh. When I went to the desk to ask for extra wash cloths I was given hand towels and told "We're out, it'll be alright". Umm...ok? I highly doubt they were out as the asian male alleged, but that would explain the shortage of wash cloths in the room I guess. Guess they dumped so much money into their fancy new conference center and can't afford wash cloths. The free lotion on the counter in the bathroom had been used because there was hardly any left in it and it was all cakey. Probably won't be back. read more

Fabulous Marriott Courtyard! Big comfy room with large shower and water pressure was great. The staff went out of their way to ensure satisfaction. I went to bistro to have a little breakfast and inquired at the front desk about a paper. I was told they no longer have them at the hotel. Ok fine, I went ahead with my day. About 5 minutes later I was handed a paper. Michelle Dumas, the front desk manager got in her car and went and bought me one! Checked in for one night. Greeted at front desk by a handwritten note that said "be right back thx". Waited 10 minutes until the employee finally appeared. Took a shower because it was a long drive, and after throwing my washcloth over the shower curtain rod, received a handful of nasty filth and dust (see pic). Shower head was broken and layer of scum dripping from the soap holders (see pic). Worried to sleep here but it's late and I'm too tired to switch rooms. Why can't there be a hotel that gets it right? read more

We unexpectedly stayed here last week and the room decor was very nice. While eating dinner I noticed a gold fish (the cheese cracker) under the bed-disgusting! I later noticed what looked like an M&M or skittle under the bed as well. I was completely grossed out! As we were leaving I stopped by the desk to show the attendant my pictures (now deleted ) and report the incident. She didn't care at all. She offered me a to go cup of coffee and told me there was not a manager on duty to report my complaint. That's awful customer service. We will never stay there again. read more
