I prefer to take this shuttle to Atlanta airport than groome. It's slightly more affordable and usually not as cramped as groome.

Goldstar? How about no stars? If I could, I would give this cab company zero stars…read more In the last two weeks, I had two negative experiences with this cab service. The first, the driver took 30 min to pick me up from my doctor's office even though I gave the dispatcher specific directions on what building I was in. Turns out the driver was hanging out at the wrong building for 15 min and didn't think to call me. The cabs aren't the cleanest or well-maintained but for a fairly short ride, it's not that big of a deal. The second experience was this morning. I called Goldstar 40 min ahead of time to request a cab for my brother. He needed to get to the Groome shuttle office in Columbus to get to the ATL airport (the Groome office is a 12 min drive from where we are). After 5 min PAST the scheduled pick up time, I called the dispatch and was told the cabbie was dropping off someone and would be there within a few min. Well, long story short - 2 more calls to the dispatch and 1 from the driver later - each call promising that the cab was 5 min away, the cab was a total of 32 min late. (That is 4 calls total in a 30-min period!!!) The cab arrived 3 min before his shuttle was scheduled to leave from the shuttle office. Needless to say, since my brother missed his shuttle. He had to take the next one which gave him approximately 20 min to get thru airport security and make it to his gate. Did not happen. The driver was apologetic but apologies mean nothing when you are purposely lied to over and over again. Why couldn't they just be upfront and say "I'm sorry, we are running late, it's really going to be 20-30 min more." Give me the opportunity to call someone else. The cab company is not the one who is being inconvenienced - the customer is. But no, they just choose to string you along. Do NOT use this cab company if you have to be anywhere on time! Or if do have to, give yourself a 30-45 min buffer!

I don't expect to be driven in someone's beat up car for $150. Additionally the conduct of my driver (Damond I believe?) was absolutely horrible. He grilled me the entire drive on my religious views while also sharing the worst parts of his life story. Did I mention that he went to prison!!! That fact makes me very uncomfortable!! I wanted a car ride, not to play therapist. I do recommend that man sees a therapist. Another girl at the event I attended last week had a similar experience with him as her driver. I would also like to mention his exceptionally poor driving skills. We were turning left out of a CVS and I saw a car coming directly towards us. He then, with one hand on the steering wheel, says "oh, I didn't see him" THE CAR ALMOST T-BONED US. I could have DIED. Additionally, this man had no sense as to how to act like a professional driver. He put my SUITCASE in the BACKSEAT directly next to me! Excuse me, but that is what the trunk is for. He also didn't automatically pick up my bag and place it inside the trunk. Like, these are pretty basic driver skills. I will say that I am grateful he was willing to make a quick detour to let me run into CVS and grab some things. And I do feel sorry for his life situation right now. He really should see a psychiatrist. But altogether the drive was absolutely horrible, terrifying at times and completely unprofessional.
