This is my 2nd visit to this beautiful "adult merchandise boutique", Not sex shop. wink wink. I've been going to this outlet in Lomita for years, and I'd have to say it's never been better in terms of what they offer and staff expertise. The latter can largely be attributed to the ubiquitous Alex, who is courteous, helpful and well-informed. Like a maitre d at a classy restaurant, she was always there to provide info when needed, but didn't hover. The inventory is broad and just about every item is well-stocked with the biggest name brands and some lesser known entries. The merchandise ranges from the less expensive weekend warrior sort of items like vibrating cock rings and such to the more high-end items like corsets and Hitachi Magic Wand vibrators. The inventory is up to date and features the latest state of the art digital toys, like remote-control vibrators. On the other end of the spectrum, they sell a variety of x-rated porn CDs, just like the good old sleazy days. The prices are about what you'd expect, which is not cheap. But I have several times been provided discounts either through their"coffee club" type customer card which gets punched with every visit (a 7th visit earns a 50% discount) or via staff discounts. The vibe (no pun intended) here is fun and ideal for couples looking to explore the possibilities without feeling creepy. Quibbles? Nothing serious. I've been to this store a few times and things were great, but this will probably be the last. I recently bought a product for $60 and wasn't what I necessarily wanted and requested a return or exchange, so I call the store a few days later and after chatting with the employee they told me they can call the manager and see if can get a discount on something else, but they wont take the original product back since it was opened. You won't take the product I purchased back even with the receipt but you'll give me a discount for buying another... My reason for wanting to return or exchange isn't sufficient enough. So on my way home I noticed an adult shop close to my house (Couples MO of course) and went inside to see if they had it. It was a great experience and I found what the other store didn't have. I ended up getting the Fetish Blindfold+ Rubber Ball Gag combo, a nice book on 50 different rope positions, and Elegant Moments Striped Thigh Hi with Satin Bow and Handcuffs for 58.83. In addition I noticed the place was cleaner and offered ALL of the items in Secret Desires but cheaper. Below are some of the Pros and Cons. I would highly recommend Couples M.O. Pros: a. Very competitive pricing. Roughly 10%+ cheaper than other places I've been(even after other places add discounts). b. HUGE selection of products with new products coming in every Thursday, and apparently you can request products to. c. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. d. In addition to already solid pricing this is from their website for extra savings: "CMO10OFF $10.00 Off ($50.00 Order Minimum) December 31, 2014" Cons: Hours are only 1030 AM to 10:30/11:30 FRI, SAT, SUN Eh: The elderly gentleman that was working when I came in was not super friendly, but he was very knowledgeable and by no means discourteous (compared to some of the other customer service I had received at other boutiques), but more businesslike. This is not really a disadvantage, but more just a point of information. I'm sure if you were an amateur to this sort of business he would have plenty of useful advice/recommendations.
