Peachey's Amish Store - Peach hand pie

This is also called Jaytee's Country Market, btw…read more This was just what I was dreaming of, fresh bake goodies, a deli counter where you can get very reasonably priced sandwiches and so many other things in the store. The ladies were very sweet (one of them was singing in the back room some soft sweet song and it was really quite beautiful). Service was fast in the bathroom was clean! I got a smoked turkey with colby and pickles on rye bread (don't judge) and there was plenty of everything on the sandwich. My pumpkin whoopie pie was amazing, as was my peach hand pie (they had several other) and the cheese bread. Definitely a good place to stop and get some good food and snacks. As with most Amish stores, they don't take credit cards, so bring your cash!

The customer service was outstanding and the deli sandwiches were amazing. Even the ice cream was a delicious! Although we didn't purchase any furniture during our visit, we took a booklet and plan to make a purchase next summer. If all you do is pop-in for the huge, delicious $4 sandwiches, you'll be thankful you made the trip! So if you're looking for a true Amish experience where the locals speak "Pennsylvania Dutch," and they extend kindness & respect to their customers -- Peachey's is the place to go!

They're know for their "eclair" donut and cinnamon rolls. The coffee is so-so, but the donuts are amazing. I haven't had a bad one yet. They're large, and have a nice, thick layer of icing. Well worth the price and I feel good supporting a local business.

The service was kind of slow....when we arrived, we were the only ones in the entire place but the woman at the counter ignored us for a good 5 minutes before approaching the counter to ask how she could help us. We stood there for so long that we almost gave up and sat down without ordering anything. The place was empty when we got there around 8pm, but a few others filtered in to have coffee and donuts later in the night. I got a blueberry donut (about $1.50 ish) and my housemates got a cup of coffee. They said that the coffee was decent but not amazing. The donut had a yummy blueberry flavor but was a little stale and I could tell it wasn't fresh--it'd probably been made early in the morning. The wifi was strong and fast (ask the lady at the front for the password). There's a drive-through for your convenience if you want to pick up donuts without parking and sitting down inside. Later in the week my co-workers brought in a couple of fresh boxes of donuts from here in the morning and they were so much better! They were still warm and chewy on the inside, and the donuts filled with cream burst delectably in your mouth. I definitely recommend picking up some donuts from here in the morning when they're fresh out of the oven. Going there in person...not so much, unless you're desperate for some internet and a quiet place to study or read.

My guests agreed, because I got rave reviews on the cake. The buttercream is so light and not overly sugary, it almost tastes like whipped cream. The fillings are also all fresh and yummy. Now, I'm a big fan of dropping in to pick up a 7" cake or some individually wrapped cupcakes, or ordering ahead of I want to be sure to get a certain flavor combination. Their cookies - shortbread and chocolate chip are also to die for. Make this your next stop for a cake or just a fun impromptu treat. You won't regret it!

I want one!" (The $5.50 stuffed cupcakes are jumbo, about twice the size of a standard one, and have fillings injected into the cake!) - "Brown sugar oatmeal is still available! Love the torched, burnt flavor of the coconut topping!" - "Petit fours!!!" - "Pretty packaging." (My 3 selections - in their individual plastic cupcake holders - were placed inside a colorful, floral printed plastic bag. Nice touch.) Standard gourmet cupcakes are $3 now, and more flavors are available than I recalled. I've recently also tried lemon lime, salted caramel, and peanut butter mousse. Generally, I'm not a huge buttercream fan, as it usually is too heavy on the butter for me, so the lemon lime and salted caramel were not my absolute faves. If I lived in this area, I would definitely want Ashlee to make my wedding or any special occasion cake!
