Family owned, super friendly and easy to deal with. My dog is always happy to go to the kennel! They take great care of everyone's pets!

We were quoted approximately $204 for the surgery, but the final bill came in at over 290 dollars. A $29 fee was added during surgery for what they claimed was a "post-heat" condition and an "enlarged uterus." However, just two days earlier, one of their own techs had confirmed she was not in heat. When confronted, the vet conveniently changed the story from "in heat" to "post-heat" On top of that, they tried to charge me for a rabies vaccine my dog had already received -- three separate times, even after I showed proof of vaccination. Only after I corrected them repeatedly did they stop trying to charge me for it I was also charged $42 for a Rimadyl/Carprofen injection, and another $12 for just 7 generic Carprofen tablets -- far above normal pricing, with no breakdown or choice given. To make matters worse, when I asked for the records to submit to my pet insurance, the front desk told me they couldn't release them due to HIPAA. This is completely false -- HIPAA does not apply to pets. When I pointed that out, they casually responded, "Oh, that's just what we call it." Finally, they had me sign a form saying they had been "thoroughly transparent in billing" -- which felt disingenuous at best, considering the shifting explanations. They also tried to tell me hills science dies was only by prescription when I told my wife we could get it on amazon. this again was from the woman behind the counter who back tracked on what she said, it felt like they wanted us to buy from them. they claimed their food was samples but they display them like an advert and then tell people you can only get it by prescription Bottom Line: This clinic may be fine if nothing unexpected happens, but if you value clear communication, fair pricing, and ethical billing, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. It felt like every opportunity was taken to upsell, overcharge, or confuse the situation, and I left with no confidence in how my dog -- or my wallet -- was treated.

New company has bought out this place and it used to be the absolute best for my breed. Recently I…read morereceived a letter from them that they were going to turn me in for no payments! I had never heard from them regarding payment when my Ebony had Dr Brown put a pin in her leg several months ago. I assumed they would send a bill. Instead out of nowhere I received a letter from the clinic that since I had never paid they were turning me over to a "hit man!" to get the money from me. They never sent me a bill!! Never! And never got a call. I've known Dr Brown and his wife for over 25 years and they even had some of my dogs. I'm so upset and have never been so threatened , as I loved the facility. Of course I will be paying the bill.

I spoke as her witness at town council when noise violations were brought up against her business and the verdict went on her favor. Later on in Jan/Feb 2025 timeframe I noticed her employees were never there. Owner had her very young son in the grooming area 3 times looking dirty and tired. My pup isn't trustworthy with small children unfortunately. I mentioned this and the owner said, "well he needs to learn how to act around dogs". I didn't like that answer but also empathize with working moms so I continued to support her business. My last visit was a disaster. I scheduled a week in advance, the toddler boy was there again and yet another new employee. 6 hours later he still wasn't groomed fully groomed just bathed. I went to get my pup because I don't want him locked up all day. I mentioned I don't like him being kenneled all day without potty breaks and water. She claimed to walk the dogs when they are with her all day. I didn't believe that to be true because she was watching her son and grooming with a new hire and her husband. If she didn't have time to groom my dog in 6 hours how would she have time to walk him? Furthermore they forgot to use my shampoo (the shampoo they use smells terrible to me and gives my pup dandruff) she said her husband forgot to use my shampoo. Her husband isn't a groomer and I didn't like that random people were working with my pup. The prices are about 30% hire than other groomers and I always tip $20.00 but I later learned the tips are not given to groomers. Dog House was once an excellent groomer/ boarder but the employee turnover and tip controversy and long groom times and very young children walking loose just are not acceptable to me. I wish them well, but they must treat employees with respect and pay better attention to client requests.

I took my dog and cat to get groomed at Heartstrings pet lodging and spa on PHD. A girl named Megan groomed my cat. This is Leo. It was his first time going to the groomer. I've always been the one to groom him and he's never been aggressive... I took pictures of my cat before bringing him in incase anything happens, which is him on the left, before the groomers. Not even 15 min later I bring my dog back so she can wait to get groomed while Leo is getting groomed. The lady comes running out saying I should take my cat to the vet. I say what do you mean?? I walk in and see him on the table, they lift up a whole flap of skin and all I see is this huge gash! It looked like he was sliced by a knife and it was about 2 inches long. They said the wound was already here when I brought him in. Alright my cat had nothing wrong with him before I took him here. I IMMEDIATELY took Leo to the vet and the vet said this wound is FRESH. That it did not look like a puncture wound from another animal. That it either had to be the groomer or he got caught on bobwire which isnt possible under the circumstances. I waited for the owner of Heartstrings to arrive. He was a very rude old man named Rick. He didnt want to believe that my cat was wounded by his groomer even though everything is pointing to the groomer. I was very upset and he wasnt wanting to do anything about this situation or have any care about what happened to my cat. He refused to pay my cats vet bill and was just absolutely SURE that the groomer didnt do it even though theres NO CAMERAS! I have a picture of my cat right before taking him. I wish I got a picture of the gash but I was so stressed about taking him to the vet I didnt think about taking a picture I just have one after the staples and $300 vet bill. Can someone please help me on what to do about this situation because justice has to be done and I feel so left in the dark with this!
