Northfield Kennels - All the nerves that a dog has in the head and neck area... and the way they get treated without being able to speak for themselves!!!

First off, go ahead and forget Megan R's review. Read it, and then realize that what she's talking…read moreabout are training "shock" collars, training "choke" collars, and other standard training tools/techniques that you'd find at any pet supply store or training book. Megan R. Sounds like someone who has unruly dogs and is unwilling to take the necessary, assertive steps to bring them to heel. Also, take into account that Sam and his team not only train for obedience and hunting, but also spent time in war zones training explosives detection dogs and have a charity training veteran's and their service dogs. Simply put, they know what they're doing. Now, on to my review...I take my two Beagles (5 and 13 years old) here regularly. My dogs love it there! They are well attended to, played with, and always smell nice when I pick them up. The facilities are clean and temperature appropriate for the season. The staff keeps the runs and play areas tidy. They always keep an eye out for health issues and are very flexible with pickup and drop off times. At $68/night for both my hounds, this is my kennel of choice. The bottom line is my dogs love it here and that's the only feedback that matters to me!

This is paying for abuse!!! My 2 Labrador puppies jump to meet new people... the two in charge slap…read morethem on the nose and knee them like a punch in the chest... this place will bring your 4 legged family member back and be aggressive... the demonstration showed that they asked the dog to do a command and they still shocked/chocked him! How confusing for a dog to do what the say and still get punished!! I was so appalled I tried calling the next day, and they don't answer my phone call!!!! What if PETA knew about this????

We've been going here since moving to Farmington August 2021. Since then we've experienced 3 price…read moreincreases. Receiving the below email left a poor taste in my mouth. I have seen multiple people's comments deleted from their Facebook page if anyone questioned anything they didn't want to address since this email. Such a slap in the face to customers who have been going here for years. Below is the email I received in March in quotes and my responses with a dash: "As most of you are aware the economy is getting tighter everyday. Lack of employees, trucking issues, over seas shipping issues, upcoming elections, and of course higher taxes." -- The economy is better now than it was a year ago... Why was this mentioned?? This feels like you're perpetuating a certain narrative like it's the economy's fault for the below issues. -- Trucking / over seas shipping issues... To me this should only impact INVENTORY, so if you're out of something then you're out of something. What happens when a pet store doesn't have my dogs food? I go to another until I find the specific brand that I need. -- Upcoming elections... YEP! I totally see why that would impact a dog kennel business Say no more, makes total sense to me. I assume the prices would magically lower if Trump was in office, huh? "The cost of employees has increased considerably over the last two years. We are so indebted to staff and want to keep the staff we have as they are excellent and we could not be more proud of the team we have built." -- I don't know what to say about this, every time I drop off my dog there's high schoolers working and likely an adult at the front counter.. "Raising pricing across the board to accommodate the increases is where we find ourselves. We hope that by offering specials and the memberships that some of the increases will be offset for many of our regular clients." -- If you're raising prices you MUST be raising wages too right? Because if not this is coming across as any other greedy business trying to squeeze the people of every dollar and cent they can. Multiple people have asked this on Facebook and they have chosen to delete the comment instead of respond. -- The membership... this is outrageously priced for what you're getting, these prices don't include regular boarding so I really don't know how anyone is expected to save anything unless you're regularly taking your dog to this kennel most days out of the week. "We appreciate your understanding and dedication to our business." -- I do not understand at all, this email made you loose me as a customer... One thing I appreciate about Dog Day Getaway, an Apple Valley Competitor, is their transparency to their customers.

Carol is the real life dog whisperer. Save you family and get trained with Fissan - you will be amazing and happy like never before. In addition, as a person with visual impairment, I felt safe and empowered by the staff and the customer service.
