We recently relocated from the Northwoods to Texas. We tried looking around the area for my wife's favorite Milk Chocolate Maple Creams to no avail. So, we decided to pick up the phone and see if the Country Store could help us out. The young lady on the phone was very professional and courteous and very helpful. As promised, once she got the shipping costs, she called back to make sure I was informed of the total cost for our order. Well, today we received our order. This place is amazing. Me and my family come here for ice cream every time we are up at our cabin. I appreciate that the male clerk was advising shoppers to wear gloves before touching any of the individual candies available for purchase. This store has an extensive selection of milk and dark chocolate sugar free truffles. I like the dark peanut butter cups, dark almond bark, dark orange cream, and black forrest truffles. It is all the same superior quality though so whatever you get will be good. Several more selections in sugar free and regular are available. Home made fudge, hard candy, and regular popcorn are available as well. The ice cream selection is not as extensive as the selection available at Lick-A-Dee Splitz in Three Lakes and it is a little more pricy here. read more

I was in eagle river on a business trip and was super excited to have a tourist day since I have never been to Wisconsin. A colleague and I parked in the down town area and walked store to store. We found this candy shop and I was super happy because I love anything black licorice. We went in and the had a 5.00 minimum for credit card sales so I bought a massive bag of black licorice. I retuned back to the hotel and as I got down to the middle of the bag after a few days I found 2 pieces of twizzlers packaging. They had transferred twizzlers into their own packaging and put their label on it. I went back down to the store with the bag and the sales person tried to deny that they were in fact twizzlers until I showed her the evidence. She then quietly took my name and number and assured me that the manager would call me....I never received the call read more

The ice cream is delicious. BEWARE on a rainy day when everyone ditches lake activities for a day in town the line can be out the door and down the street. But wack on a smile, enjoy looking at everything in the shop and wait because it is well worth it. We stopped her on a Monday on our drive home from our Up North home. Very happy to find the store was open outside of tourist season. Love their toasted coconut chocolates. Excellent chocolate bark too. There is something for everyone here, from taffy to candies to hand made chocolates, fudge and icecream. So worth a stop if you are visiting the area. read more
