We had them come out to replace a lock on our inside door going out to the garage. When we called to make arrangements we honestly thought that we would need to wait at least a week and not having use of this door was getting to be pain! The absolute worst Customer Service. I went in for the first time yesterday with my other half. There was no one at the front, but a lady that works there was in the back working on something. She yells out, " I'll be there in a minute." 10 minutes go by and she still hasn't come to the front. While she is at the back, a man that works there comes out from helping another customer and does not acknowledge us. He walks by numerous time without saying anything, completely ignoring us. I yell out, "hello? We have been waiting for awhile ." The woman responds, " I'll be there in a minute." Yeah, you said that 10 minutes ago. Rude! Actually now in CdA, purchased Shull's. Very good, responsive and on time. Would I use them again o'course. As an aside if you want a key cut don't bother with the big box go their first. Done right the first time. Nice to have a locksmith with an office so you can visit and ask questions. They also have the ability to cut keys using a code, so you can get a key cut for a lock changed say in New York. read more

I had lost the keys to my F350 super duty. Ford was unable to retrieve the key code as it is a 2003 and I was in between a rock and a hard space. Country lock and key promptly came to the rescue and within an hour after arrival I had two new keys to my truck everything work perfect and it was very affordable. I had Country Lock & Key replace and re-key dead bolt locks when I moved into the house. About 1 1/2 years later one of the deadbolt locks froze and I couldn't open the door. Once I got the lock open I took it off and went back to Country lock who identified the problem and said it would be $48 to replace that part. Told me the lock only had a 1 year guarantee. I refused to pay the $48 and went to Ace Hardware and bought an entire new deadbolt lock set for $33. I called the lock manufacture and was told there is a life time guarantee on the lock. They are sending me a refund for the lock I bought. Out right dishonest business in something like this makes me question any and everything about Country Lock & Key. They will not see me come thru there doors ever again and I will tell everyone who wants a key made or lock work done not use them. read more

We just bought a used vehicle down the road when we stopped to get gas, the keys hardly worked. The dealer we bought truck from suggested we go here. The problem was more than just keys being worn down, but the actual ignition needed to be rebuilt. From the very beginning the manager was extremely helpful and started on the problem right away. He showed us the bad parts in the ignition and got it all replaced in a very timely fashion. Even though the dealer paid the bill, we felt that the price was well worth the service. They even made sure everthing worked perfectly when all was said and done. My husband and I were very happy with service. These guys were very honest, helpful and skilled. read more

I recently moved into a new home and had the fun task of moving my 800# safe. I had it in my garage and wanted it upstairs which was a daunting task. These guys responded to my AAA call for a replacement key and the representative was horrible!!!! He was by far the rudest, most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with during car repairs. He was obviously "playing" with the $ amounts from the get go and got very defensive when I questioned the amount. I have $100 in replacement key coverage and he was still trying to charge me over $100 (after coverage). He ended up leaving without making the replacement key we'd requested after I'd already agreed to the amount and told him I obviously needed the key. I've reported this to AAA and ended up getting towed to Knudtsen Chevrolet who was WONDERFUL and made us not 1 but 2 replacement keys at a very reasonable price. I have told AAA they should not contract with these guys ever again if possible. While I've used them in the past for lock outs with no problems, this guy was just plain mean! I've since heard the Post Falls police department will also not use them due to price gauging and unprofessionalism. Stay away from this company for replacement keys!!!! read more
