Good food and service. My usual order is the Everybodies Favorite breakfast. I recommend the loaded hash browns.

Service is good but the food isn't all that great. Poutine is way too salty and got soggy almost as soon as it came out

We sat ourselves and the server behind the bar came around, greeted us and took our drink orders. My husband asked if he could order a Walleye filet and they accommodated; he got mashed potatoes and salad for his sides. I ordered The Mayor salad (truly enough food for two) The Walleye was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. My husband asked for them to heat up the potatoes, unfortunately they were luke warm at best. My salad was a large salad topped with brisket, smoked turkey, bacon and a chicken wing. My husband and I split the chicken wing, it was crispy, but almost too crispy. In the fryer a bit too long. The brisket was a bit dry, but the smoked turkey was perfect. There were two hard boiled eggs, so if you are eating just protein and vegetables this is is your order. There were a lot of jalapenos on it, and lots of crisp greens. I would order it again, but most likely split it with someone. The service was great. While we were there it was getting crowded. This was the second restaurant that we went to where there was only one person taking orders. Fortunately, she had someone running the food out because she was also tending bar, along with the food runner. Although we were not neglected, it would have been better for them if there were more on staff. We'll definitely be back on our next visit.

Was in Bemidji en route to go ice fishing. I didn't know where to go but when I saw Paul Bunyan…read moreRoad I knew that I'd be in throes of chain restaurant row. My buddy and I saw the local Applebee's and knew that there really was but one choice. We were going I be eating good in the neighborhood. Rolled up in around 11am. Would I like the larger beer for an extra buck? That's a dumb question. It's 11. So be sure to have a back up in queue because I'm ready to hit it hard. Wings are 1/2 price you say? Fire up two orders and point me to the bathroom so I know where I'll be headed in 45 minutes. Oh yeah. Get xl beer 3 ready. I'm in Bemidji and it's time to party. The first shift bartender cheerfully obliges and humors my friend and I from the opening bell until her sift ends and the new bartender comes on. What a gal. Does she look familiar? Spearmint Rhino? Maybe. But I digress. At this point we think it is a great idea to order frozen blue drinks. And it IS a great idea. There is no way I'm gonna be hung over tomorrow. Anyhoo. Bartenders were great. Had a fun time. Stopped in again after ice fishing a few days later. Got really drunk. Applebee's food tasted like Applebee's. Definitely saw a local with an escort at the bar. That made for more fun. At was also as we were all approaching blackout drunk. My mom would be mortified if I yelled something about a hooker inside of an Applebee's. That's only acceptable talk at church.

This was a bad bad day!…read more Went into applebees tonight with another couple and their grandson. This was the worse experience we have ever had, I understand the work situation at our bemidji, Mn location. But this was the worst. It was about 6 pm tonight and it was busy but I have seen It a lot busier. We were quickly seated and got our drinks right away (which I'll explain later) and put in our orders with a refil and then it went down hill after that. The grandson ordered a taco with lettuce and tomato and a yogurt with a sprite. Got his taco no lettuce or tomato and no sprite, after asking for lettuce and tomato for his taco and the sprite he got the sprite 30 minutes after his meal and no lettuce and tomato. Then my friend ordered chicken and got her order with the refil and then she asked for shrimp and more French fries and never got either after asking twice, then asked for the fries to go and didn't get that either, other friend asked for riblets after his cold shrimp and they came out cold as well, then an Oreo shake was ordered for the grandson and he waited 45 minutes and the server said she would take it off but I told her no that he had been waiting patiently and was looking forward to it the entire time we were there, so she went to check on it and the bartender was finally making it to go. None of us got the coleslaw side we were suppose to get. Just wasn't on any of our plates. Guess it was taken by the coleslaw fairies. None of us received any drink refills, thank goodness at the beginning my husband snd I got a water with no ice because she said it melted by the time she was bringing it to the table so she brought another that had ice in it. $84 dollar meal that was a complete joke...We did end up leaving a $10 tip, $94 at this point not sure whose fault it was, but we were all VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE EXPERIENCE WE had tonight!!

There's still remained a great selection of bagels. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and Service was prompt despite the large number of people there. The results? I had an everything bagel with cream cheese, not toasted, and it was perfect! Just enough, everything topping, and the bagel itself was tender, not tough, not too fluffy, just right. So delicious and at $3.30 a great value. They have a large case of muffins, both large and mini. I tried a few mini muffins, (3 pack for $2.78)and the coconut cream was delicious and tender. Also had a cinnamon muffin which was good but could've used more cinnamon, and a tiny chocolate New York cheesecake which was moist and delicious. Not overly sweet. The ambience was open and inviting and yet cozy, no loud overhead music. Everything was super clean, as were the bathrooms. Easily navigated if you need a wheelchair or other assistive device. All in all, super bummed that I live on the West Coast and will be so far away from this bagel shop. Highly recommended if you are in Bemidji!

It started raining before we arrived, so I think everyone headed inside at once, but we were able to grab seats at the bar and still received great service. I ordered the AYCE walleye. The portions were a little smaller than I expected, but the fish was good and I especially enjoyed the hush puppies. My husband ordered the Loon Burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's had in a while. The only downside was the wait for the second round of walleye, which took close to 30 minutes. By then we were ready to leave, so we ended up taking it to go. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back to try some of the other menu items!!

We would rank this meal as one of our best in the area. I had the crab cake sandwich, upgraded to include the dinner salad. The sandwich is one of the best things I've ever eaten. And, am pretty sure the amazing blu cheese dressing was house made. I tasted my husband's food, and can confirm... his cheeseburger upgraded to have the Cesar salad and the shrimp bisque was FANTASTIC!!! Will definitely be back!
