Thank you Michelle for walking me through lighting my Napoleon stove...and for the good laughs at how the original owners decided on log placement!! You saved me $150 with a 10 minute phone call. I appreciate it! read more

Michelle and her team are awesome! I purchased a new propane stove from them. Michelle remembered me and my situation from our brief encounter months prior. I was very impressed. Great selection, best price in town, and the best customer service hands down! Thank you so much! read more

Just bought a house on the divide and our insurance company had an issue with the install of our wood burning stove. Looked up the manufacturer of it, and this was my local retailer so I reached out to try and get a recommendation for someone to do the work the insurance company was asking for. Turns out they were the ones that sold it to the previous owner 10-15 years ago, still had a copy of all the paperwork, as well as the contractors info with license. They went out of their way to help someone who wasn't even a customer yet. Look forward to reasons to shop here, but from this experience alone I can already highly recommend them. read more

Besides having the CUTEST items for holidays & home decorating, Country Elegance also covers all of your home heating needs. Everyone is nice and beyond helpful. I'm so happy I stopped in to look for a new insert. I was unaware of the programs available to help get rid of the dirty polluting fireplace/stoves and ended up walking out a new clean air insert owner. They go above and beyond! Extremely happy and excited for winter knowing our family will be warm and not going through as much wood as before. Stop in....you won't be disappointed! read more

Michelle is THE BEST!!! We had Sierra Home Alternatives come out to service our Napoleon fireplace. The kid they sent didn't know the unit or how to service it and made it worse than it was. Not only that but they don't even have a connection or do business with Napoleon fireplaces and couldn't get parts! They recommended Country Elegance for my fireplace service and parts! Why did they even send a person to service a fireplace they don't support? I had a deadline for escrow to get it fixed within a week. Michelle not only had the parts (which are old and hard to find) but she sent out her best guy Joe, who explained how the kid messed up our fireplace AND did a terrible job of cleaning it. He fixed everything including a switch we didn't even know existed on the unit and did an excellent job of making it look brand new. Michelle also said,"I would never send one of my guys to service a fireplace we don't even support!" That's integrity! I can't thank Michelle and Joe enough for making my headache go away and coming through with flying colors! read more

I can't say enough about how amazing the service and helpfulness is at Country Elegance! We needed a special surround for our fireplace and Michelle not only was incredibly knowledgeable about what would work best, she took the extra time to call the manufacturer to get information on a new part that she knew about that she thought would work best for our situation - which was a modern, clean, minimal look - not easy to find. She figured out the part which was a new to the manufacturer, got it ordered and followed up. Super fast and easy! I highly recommend Country Elegance and will return here to shop again! THANK YOU!!!!! read more

We purchased a gas furnace insert for our fireplace back in 2011 and Michelle (the owner) hooked us up with an installer that did a more than perfect job for us. The unit recently stopped lighting properly so we contacted Michelle again and she connected us with a repair person who again did a great job and got us up and running. I highly recommend Country Elegance if you are looking to install a gas furnace in your home or need any other of their many products or services. Carl, Eldo Hills read more

I want to thank Michelle and help for our new fireplace. Her service was as good as it gets. Country Elegance did all the necessary paper work to comply with EPA requirements on my behalf. She did not under or over sell me on what I was looking for in a fireplace for our size of home. I had visited other fireplaces in the area but all her services were unsurpassed. The sale and installation was prompt and done accordingly as she said it would be. Need a new Fireplace see Michelle at Country Elegance, I think you'll be impressed when you want the best service. This morning my husband and I came in to this store shopping for a fireplace insert. After listening to the clerk tell us how much she knew and how much we did not know she decided that my husband was not liking what she was telling her. He just wanted her to stop talking so much so that we could ask some questions. Finally, we stated that we best go somewhere else as this was not working out and as we left, she raised her hands and yelled YAY. Really? That was so rude. We have just moved here and have been delighted with how friendly people have been. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. I have never known any kind of store owner or clerk to do anything like that. STAY AWAY!!!!!! We continued our shopping journey down the road to two other stores - Stoves N Stuff and Sierra Home Alternatives. The people there were wonderful!!!! Go there instead. read more

I purchased a Napoleon B42NT insert through Country Elegance because I liked how Michele explained what I needed and didn't need. And the price was excellent!!! I had received information from another company who did not take time to understand my fireplace set-up. Mchele helped me and made sure I did not purchase items I did not need. Other reviews that I have read state that the communication was poor. While I ran into a little back and forth trying to get in touch with Michele, I can completely understand that a business cannot soley cater to me, and Michele did return my calls and messages to my satisfaction. Furthermore, during the installation of the unit, there was a small mishap (mistake on MY part). I am currently-as I'm writing this review-talking with Michele who has bent over backwards to make sure that I get everything corrected. This is something that she does not have to do. This is a mistake that I made through the installation process (Don't have an electrician hook up the electrical line for the on/off switch unit to live power). I just want to say that through all the chaos, Michele and Country Elegance have truly been one of the best experiences that I can think of when working with a company. I wish nothing but the best for this family business. And hope that others reading this review consider working with this company! read more

Called Michelle because I was having a problem with my gas insert I bought elsewhere that went out of business. She was awesome in helping me out and gave a very fair deal. We ended up even buying more stuff just because she was so great. Very cute place at holiday time too. read more

All I can say is THANK YOU Michelle!! I bought a GMG Daniele Boone and my puppy chewed the wires, just two days after I assembled it . This store is what we call " our favorite little country store" I have lived here for 29 years and this store is one of the best in customer service. We just purchased a fireplace insert from Country Elegance. Michele is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful, she will not pressure you to buy anything. We had a very small fireplace and she worked with us to find one that would fit. Her contractor is also wonderful and worked very hard to make us happy. The day of the install it was discovered that the stovepipe would not fit because of an unknown offset and the insert would not fit either because of this unusual configuration. Michele was determined to make this work for us and supplied a different stovepipe and a different more expensive insert at her own expense. It turned out great and we are very happy! In addition, Country Elegance has beautiful home decor, seasonal gifts, and women's clothing, everything is lovely and well-priced. I love to shop here for gifts. read more

Country Elegance is a 5/5 rating because of Michelle, the owner. She provides top notch quality service. First, she knows everything about wood/pellet/propane/electric stoves. We bought the brown Napolean wood stove, large, with the cook top. We paired it with slate ledger stacked stone from floor to ceiling, and a dark travertine tile for the floor. The colors pop really well, and the combo has a modern country feel to it. As part of her services, she handled the paperwork with permits and that got us a big rebate from the county, because we upgraded to an efficient wood stove. Also, we had our chimney and transition box redone with the contractors that she often works with, and they did a great job too. The contractors were very neat, careful, and professional. I've never had a chimney re-piped or replaced a stove before. So, I was very nervous. But, after all was done, I realized there was no reason for worry, because I hired the best in the area, and they did a fantastic job. We recently visited Michelle again, because I want to put in a fireplace in another part of the house, and she has added to her selection of fireplaces with modern styles. So, I'm excited about that... Thanks Michelle! read more

We had the pleasure of purchasing a Wood Burning Stove Insert from Michelle in November 2016. Upon the moment we walked into her beautiful store we were greeted with a warm welcome and an inviting smile. My husband had his sights set on another maker of inserts, but of course always being open minded and eager to learn more about the product, Michele offered some us additional education which really helped us both. She introduce us to a stove that had everything we were looking for and then some. A couple weeks later we received our stove and had it installed and we absolutely love it. It's everything and more that Michele taught us.. We both couldn't happier the day we walked into Country Elegance and had the pleasure of doing business with Michele. She is kind, educated, and does what she promises, which to me is HUGE. Receiving exceptional customer service these days are slim to none, so this is why I'm here on YELP educating you about our experience working with Michele, her store and her products that she stands behinds and rightfully so. We are so happy with our purchase, we are warm, cozy, safe and the unit itself works beautifully and looks absolutely great in our fireplace. Looking for a stove, please visit Michele first... We had a wood stove, went to propane, and wanted to go back to wood. Michelle told us her Napoleon stove would out perform our previous Country stove. I had never been in this store and I was skeptical. Well she was RIGHT ON the mark. That Napoleon stove will blow us right out of the house if you run it up. (And we have 23 foot high ceilings). She not only knows her products perfectly, but add to that her phenomenal service after the sale, and you have what is one of the best stores in Placerville. She has everything under the sun in this store AND she knows everything about what she has. When the need arises for another stove, I would not hesitate for a second to go straight to Michelle at Country Elegance. read more

We were in need of a new wood burning stove and decided to go to Country Elegance. We had talked to Michele a few years earlier and knew she was very knowledgeable about the products she carries. We were not disappointed. After explaining our needs she gave us all the information and her advice on which stove would be best for us. We returned home to take some measurements and were able to proceed with the order over the phone. Stove was delivered as promised and is perfect. Michele was extremely helpful and we are very happy. We would recommend her shop to anyone looking for a stove. We are in the bay area and the places we looked at here at do not compare. read more

DO NOT BUY A FIREPLACE FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! My husband and I purchased a fireplace from her, during which time she couldn't have been nicer, more attentive or more knowledgeable. However, the minute we paid for it, she couldn't be bothered with us. First, she lost our entire order and couldn't locate our fireplace (how does that even happen?) Then, when the fireplace was finally ready for installation, her technician was horrible rude and unprofessional. We were shocked. He was rude, condescending, didn't want to be bothered to explain the mechanism to us, etc. It was as if he absolutely hated his job, hated us, hated Michelle, the owner. We were relieved when he left and we had a fireplace. What an ordeal! Well...then the fireplace stopped turning-on. The starter would click, click, click...and nothing. Of course, we called Michelle who proceeded to huff and ask what we were doing wrong. Again, we were shocked as this fireplace cost us over $4,000. We expected at least some level of customer service. Over the past several months, our fireplace has worked intermittently. I called her yet again because we needed service to which she huffed with incredible impatience, "Well, you should have called sooner!! ALL of my people are on vacation." That was two weeks ago and she never called me back. I'm loathe to write a negative review as I think her store is cute, clothing well-priced, etc. She couldn't have been nicer in the beginning, too. But, true colors have shown through that are astoundingly unprofessional and rude (after our $4,000 investment.) We've resorted to hiring a technician from a different company to get this resolved once and for all, and we haven't even had this insert for 9 months! It's brand new! I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from buying from this establishment. Follow-through and service are atrocious. read more

Kudos to Michelle and her crew for making my wood stove purchase and installation go so smoothly. Michelle guided me through the stove options that fit my needs and desires, and she helped me submit paperwork to get a rebate from the local Air Quality department. The young man who demo'ed my old hearth was super nice, and he was careful to keep the dust level to a minimum. The mason who built my new hearth and mantle was patient while I waded through so many choices, and the final product looks great!! The general contractor who removed the old stove and pipe and then installed the new unit found a few surprises in my old house, but he brought the electrical up to code and even fabricated a new heat vent that was located close to the hearth - above and beyond and a job well done. Everyone was polite and on time. I highly recommend Country Elegance and all the people who work with Michelle. Thank you!!! read more
