This is always a family favorite! Not necessarily for the food (I've never eaten it before) but for the homemade ice cream. Whenever we are in town we have to make the 20 minute drive to indulge. If you need a good ole homemade ice cream fixin, y'all come on over! Important info: they only take cash, they have a walk-up window and drive thru for taking orders. This is an old fashion, mom-n-pop shop so do not expect COVID safe procedures. The ice cream is homemade, so it has the slightest bit of saltiness to it.

Been going here since I was a kid. Best ice cream in the area and worth the drive from Bastrop. Good chili burgers also.

Took a chance and stopped here and overall it was ok. This town has a very limited options for…read moreeating. What was good: The shrimp po-boy. Although the bun wasn't as big as I'm used to, it was loaded with well seasoned shrimp. The corndog: I believe it was hand dipped however it was a bit overcooked. The 3 1/2 year old I had with me tore it up. The hotdog was huge and it must have been good because every bite was gone The things that needed work: The fries were undercooked and soggy. We got one order to share and we tossed them. I couldn't even get the fry obsessed toddler to eat them. The hamburger was definitely a premade patty from a grocery store. Subpar at best. It was real meat unlike a place like McDonald's which who knows what that meat (term used loosely) is. Would I stop by there again? Yes if I was too hungry to make it to Greenville. I would order a po-boy again but that's about it. The service was friendly. There was no indoor seating. The toddler and I sat at the picnic tables outside. Even though the temp was 93 degrees, the fan they had aimed at the tables did a great job. It was actually comfortable as far as temperature. I will say if you're not from the south or a place where you're acclimated to extreme heat, you need to be prepared to eat in your car with the AC on blast.

The food is great! The prices are reasonable. Small town friendly service! Highly recommend!read more

I would suggest ordering the mini version rather than the full size unless you have a huge sweet tooth, and even then it might be too much. Sharing might be caring in this instance. It has a really nice shaded area to sit although it might not be the best during this summer heat. The staff were also very nice but they're more focused on the drive thru when it's not as busy. A big plus is they also have treats for your furry best friend! If you're in the area this might be a sweet spot to stop by.
