Countertop Source did a good job installing my granite on my island and countertops. They removed my old countertop without breaking the backsplash so I could keep the backsplash. They provided a drawing prior so I could see what it was going to look like and I was able to make a couple of changes which was nice. The reason why I did not give an excellent rating is the new stainless steel sink they provided I noticed after they left had several scratches on it. When I called the sales Rep Braden, he said it could have been the plumber who scratched it when he hooked everything back up. No one knows for sure. But the new sink I'm not sure is as good quality as my old one as it seems to scratch more easily than my old one. Overall, they did a good job on the granite installation. read more

Countertop Source just did numerous countertops in my home and they were fantastic to work with from the initial contact, Marion in Sales and Sherri the Project Manager not to mention their very talented installers. I loved the way they use a laser to measure the countertops. So easy and no mess made--the first company I tried to use was still using the old fashion way with wood pieces they piece together! Countertop Source is very up to date with their products, their methods, and their knowledge. Their showroom is amazing with lots of examples and the samples of the different countertop products. They were very timely and worked with me closely on each step and made sure things were done correctly to have me be satisfied. LOVE LOVE my countertops and Countertop Source is the reason. We recently built a new home and spent tens of thousands of dollars on quartzite and marble for our entire home. The products are stunning and the installation went fairly well. Six weeks after moving into our home we noticed water stains and other stains on our countertops. There are only two of us and we are extremely meticulous about the care of our home. After doing some research, we learned that if quartzite and marble are not sealed or not sealed properly, that it will stain. We contacted the Countertop Source and they told us they would charge us for a service call and $8 a linear ft to seal the countertops. This was so disappointing considering the amount of money we spent on countertops and the fact that we had only been in our home for six weeks. I would definitely look for a countertop company that is willing to stand behind their products for longer than 6 weeks. While the stone is beautiful the customer service is an EPIC FAIL and we will not be recommending them to any of our friends and family. We have talked to others who have said that they have had this same problem with the Countertop Source. read more

We purchased quartzite countertops utilized throughout our new home construction. A few weeks after moving into our new home we noted multiple stains on several areas. Research on the internet showed this was an indication the countertops needed sealant application. Since we were only in the home a few weeks our only conclusion is that the quartzite was not properly sealed at time of fabrication. When we notified them of the problem they said they would apply sealant but charge a minimum for the service call and for each foot of countertop. We considered this response an indication of extremely poor customer service. We purchased our own sealant and a poultice to lift the stains. The stains ultimately came out with a lot of work. We subsequently have applied three coats of sealant and have had no recurrence of stains. When we had built a prior home we had quartz countertops and never had stains occur during the seven years we lived in the house. We have recently talked to a friend who recently remodeled their kitchen and obtained quartzite countertops through Countertop Source. They had the same problem with stains occurring as we did. I would NOT recommend this store for stone countertops. read more

We noticed that the granite on the island in our kitchen in our new home, had what appeared to be scratches throughout the top. As required in our new home purchase contract, we contacted the builder who told us they would contact the company responsible for installation of the granite. An individual from the company came to our home and attempted to remove the scratches using glue and a razor blade; this did not correct the scratch issues. The gentleman stated the granite should be replaced because it would always look scratched. Two representatives from Barlow Builders (also known as Countertop Source) came to our home and looked at the granite of concern. They indicated they thought what appeared to be "scratches" were fissures in the granite. Lydia mentioned there had been concerns in the past with the granite that was used in our home (but they continued to install it). They indicated someone would come out to see if the granite could be treated to remove the "scratches." A representative from the company called the next week and stated the granite would be replaced but it would take 4-6 weeks to get another piece to use for replacement. We heard nothing more directly from the company. After approximately 5 weeks we contacted our builder and they said the owner had contacted them and told them they would not be replacing or working on the granite. They changed their mind about replacement because we didn't mention the scratches on our final walk through of the home before purchase. If you have ever completed a walk-through or a new home you are familiar with the millions of things to check and you don't notice everything that may be of concern at that time. We have never heard from the company again. It was extremely disappointing that a promise was made with no follow-through. The owner gave us his word and did not keep it! We strongly recommend use of another granite company if you ever need these services. read more
