Lowes bathroom and kitchen countertops with Counterfit installer - ughhh . 2 stars. previously measured countertops to get correct Sqft. They were very sneaky. Tried to have backslash as a separate work order, even after paying for the full amount of the guartz sq. footage for both backsplash and countertops. Trying to schedule and coordinate was very difficult as well. They would always refer to to someone else and another department, so you won't get anywhere trying to ask for help. Not customer focused. Lowes was more of an advocate for their contractors than you as a customer. Be on the lookout for that. I recommend measuring your square footage and ask for full price of installation and demo separately from the square footage. You're paying more for their incomplete work than you are for the material. They also don't take great care in making sure the wood portion is secured and stable during install. Counter Fit didn't even add a plywood stabilizing component. They just slap it on, add the glue and try to claim an extra charge for the actual completion of the project. Make sure you thoroughly read your paperwork and what you're signing... best of luck. Highly recommend a private contractor.... I give 2 stars because the material looks good. Here we are 4 years later and all I get from Sash, the owner, is a huge run around. When they forced my counter up with wedges after gluing it down, they failed to tell me the potential long term effects. Sash has been out several times, with no real long term solution. The last visit was from one of his workers who hammered in four screws under the counter into the cabinetry, and two have fallen out. Unfortunately, this resulted in the seam being further apart and a major chip at the corner of the seam. The worker never noticed this. When I mentioned it he filled it with glue. I have had professional opinions and I am told because the over hang is less than 12 inches it never needed the supports Eddie sold to me. They seem to be very professional but when it comes to problems they are very shady, and unwilling to come up with a permanent solution. At this point, I will have to retain an attorney to sue them and to have my kitchen peninsula redone entirely. Sash has told me on a number of occasions that they wedge up countertops all the time. I can only gather from this that they make a lot of mistakes. I would not do any business with this company even if it is through Lowe's. They are direct contractors through Lowe's and in order to get around the Lowe's contract, because I had originally spoken with Lowe's for counter installation, they asked me to put it in another name other than my own. This is unethical which shows in the work that they did in my new home. One of the professional opinions I have obtained is from a former investigator from the CSLB. I am told this will continue to be a problem and deteriorate even further. read more

These people are horrible at communication and customer service! My counter top cracked during Christmas and since I used Home Depot I had them reach out to have it fixed. Counter Fit NEVER called me so I had to reach out to them. They told Home Depot that heat caused the crack, which is untrue and the guy that came and looked at it agreed. I bought countertops through Home Depot (the one I wanted was exclusive to them) so I had no choice but to work with counter fit. Overall my experience was ok. In the beginning there wasn't much communication, I just paid $6k for countertops and didn't hear anything for weeks. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though, it was around the holiday season. Eventually I got an appt for measurements and finally a date for tear down/install. A+ for their crew, I had a completely new bathroom/kitchen in about 3.5 hours. Also, once I was able to reach their office, everyone I worked with was friendly, professional and helpful. I'd work with then again, just be patient. We were assigned Counter Fit Inc as our service provider after purchasing new countertops (and some associated services) via Home Depot. We were very pleased with the experience of scheduling and preparing for our various appointments, other than the delay due to high demand for these sorts of services. The counters themselves are well cut, meeting our expectations for quality. The demo and install team were pleasant and professional, arriving on time and doing a fair job of cleaning up after themselves. This review would be 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for the defect the install team left us with and ultimately said "you guys can fix it", even though the defect was not present before the install. We have a large island with wood cabinets on one side and drywall/wall on the other. There was not enough effort to ensure a level surface for the drywall side and so their installation left us with two sizable sections of buckled drywall (pics below). Understanding stuff happens, I called Counter Fit, was referred to the "project manager" via email and after 3 emails, have determined that they are not interested in remediating the defect they created in my kitchen. Not only is the defect highly disappointing, passing the fix for it off to us and then lack of response by the Company itself ensured that while I may be pleased with the countertops themselves, I will never recommend they services. read more

Very happy with my new countertops. Ryan did a fantastic job installing the quartz, taking the time to install each piece and focusing on the small details so everything looked great. He did a nice job with the seams as they are barely noticeable. The sink was mounted well, quartz backsplash installed uniformly, caulking was neat and shims placed in the areas needed. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews, but didn't have any of the problems other people encountered. Since this company is contracted by stores like Home Depot and Ikea to do their installations, they seem very busy. It took a while to get a template date scheduled and a good wait for the actual install. While the turnaround time was slow, Sam provided good customer service and answered my questions. We ordered our kitchen countertops through Jessie at the Chico Home Depot. Approximately a week later, Greg from Counter Fit did a meticulous job of making templates of our various counters, two of which have two 45 degree angles in them. He also was helpful in enabling us to solidify our choice of edging on the counters and the type of wood trim that we would need to go around the existing plywood on top of which the new bar countertop would be installed. Beto and Jose, as installers, made all the cuts on site with great skill and attention to detail. They clarified various cuts with me before they did them and even moved the stove into place just to double check their measurements before making two critical corner cuts. When they drove off at the end of the day, the inside and outside of the house were left clean and we were extremely pleased with the beautiful new quartz counters that were carefully installed and seamed! read more

This place was absolutely a nightmare. I ordered IKEA counters, and this is who they contract through, so beware if you order counters through IKEA. They improperly installed a bracket on the underside of the counter above my brand new dishwasher which dented and scratched the dishwasher before it had ever been used. It's the first new appliance I've ever had in my life, so I was beyond disappointed. I called them a few times to get it fixed, but they never return your call. They finally told me to email them photos after trying to get through by phone multiple times. I emailed Raquel the photos and she responded by saying that my dishwasher was installed too high and to lower it. It was installed at the proper height by a contractor, and it was the height it is now when the counters were installed. If it was too high, why didn't the installer say something instead of forcing a bracket on top of it and denting it? Telling me to lower it now doesn't fix the damage they did. And the installer leaving without telling me that he dented the dishwasher is unethical. I found it on my own after he was long gone. After her dismissive email, Raquel simply ghosted me and didn't respond to my follow up. I finally had a Samsung repair person out, and he confirmed that the bracket was improperly installed and should have been installed on the side instead. He moved it, and the door closes easily now with no scratching and no adjustment to the height. You might save a few bucks on the counter installation, but it's not worth it in the damage they may do to other parts of your kitchen which will not be remedied by them after the fact. They will take your money and run. Stay away. read more

I would not hire this company under any circumstance. Six months and still not done. Colors do not match for the third time. 1/2 inch gaps between wall and countertop filled with silicone and when the owner came out he said probably not worth fixing..REALLY your not paying for it I am so FIX it !!! Fridge would not open because countertop on one side stuck out too far. I have to repair sheet rock and pay the tile guy to come back and replace the backsplash that was damaged this was done through Home Depot so will not be using them ever again for a project. The lack of communication and follow through is unbelievable - I don't know how they stay in business with their work ethic! They don't call back after they take your money. Kudos to the team who removed our 3 bathroom countertops in preparation for the new countertops. Luis Salvador and his partner were extremely fast and very personable and professional. They put down coverings to protect the floors, removed all the countertops and cleaned up and there was no damage at all, which can happen, but the side and back splashes came off with no problem. I worked with this countertop company because Home Depot. They said they are really big company with projects with Home Depot, Lowe's, and IKEA. In the beginning, the template guy didn't come on their schedule to my house with the installers in my bathroom countertop. Next schedule day he came but wouldn't template and complain it's impossible without my new ranch sink installed. I hired my handyman to installed it first. Then the installers came first time with material short for my bread container, then today is the second time, they still not done any further. What Raquel the office manager told me they would try to complete as possible today is not happening and without explanation. The workers just said Raquel said they can leave and they make it worse than last time without any countertop there in my kitchen. And leave my house with mess not clean. We ordered our cabinets and Ceasarstone through Ikea Sacramento, and they have an agreement with Counter Fit to install the countertops. Danny at Counter Fit called me right away to set up a measuring appointment. We weren't ready so I called back when we were, and Danny and Christina got me scheduled quickly and got things moving. The man who came out to measure (forgot his name) was very meticulous. He had good suggestions and thanks to his advice, we changed our mind on some things and are very happy we did. Our countertop got fabricated quickly and the crew was back installing it within a few weeks, even during COVID when things are taking so long. The install crew was efficient, respectful, and did great work. The seams are hardly noticeable. Mondo and Efrin arrived in the earlier part of the scheduled window and did call 1/2 hour prior also! We arranged to have Nougat color quartz installed via IKEA. Counterfit was careful with the product, it arrived dressed with blue plastic. Dry fit occurred followed by installation with some beads of silicon. All in all pretty smooth process. The long buffet side needed to have a seam since it was over 12 feet in length. Mondo (Mando?) paid special attention to the seam to make sure it was particularly tight and blended appropriately. We had a little bit of a wait since the heavy island required extra help to get it into place. Mondo apologized for excess wait which is totally understandable. Wife couldn't be happier with the new brightened kitchen thanks to Counterfit for a tidy installation! read more

By and large, a good experience resulting in lovely countertops. Like many customers, we hired Counter Fit through the Home Depot. We had no major issues with Counter Fit. It did take some phone tag with Home Depot to establish contact with them. And we've had to re-caulk the edges of the countertop since installation. But the quartz countertop looks wonderful and has held up great so far. The template folks were very professional and took all of our details into consideration with regard to the sink, air gap, dishwasher, etc. The installation crew came ready to make as many extra cuts as were necessary to get just the right fit, including some precision edge alignment on one side with a thin strip of sheetrock between the cabinet and a brick wall. The installation was a process, of course, but the crew made sure everything was done just right the first time. read more

I bought my house almost 15 years ago and the existing 3x3 white tiles with brown grout had been installed about 10 years before that. What once were the epitome of kitchen style are now dated, cracked, chipped, old and sad. I researched new counters with many different installers: big box and independent contractors. An apples to apples comparison saw a price range of thousands of dollars. I selected Counter Fit because I felt that the best value was offered in their quote and working with their office/sales team was super easy. After I selected my materials, it was about 2 weeks to go through the template process and installation. The demo and installation was scheduled for 1 day and the work was completed in about 6 hours. They were able to install with ONE 2" seam (due to my kitchen configuration) that was almost impossible to notice. Chris, Carlos and Carlos were friendly, respectful and did amazing work. They left my house as clean (maybe cleaner) than before they arrived - even taking a shop vac to the hardwood floors that had tons of dust and tile powder in the little nooks, crannies and crevices. They even swept my driveway! I would highly recommend them for any counter job. read more

Bought counter tops from IKEA and this company was the sub contractor for the job. I should have heeded the previous yelp reviews on this company but didn't. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Schedulers don't know what they're doing. Very poor communication with their field staff. Their own field staff complained to me that their front office does not communicate with them causing confusion and frustration. The sub-sub contractor who measured and created the template for my counter tops made an error and I was charged 3 extra square ft. An over charge of $152.00. To top it all off there was a 2 month delay. We were without a kitchen for 2 months no sink or running water. End product was good, but was it worth it? Buyer beware! I had my counter tops installed by Counter Fit in May of 2021. The installers were in such a rush to get done they made mistakes. To this day I can not get them to correct their mistakes. 1- They failed to add shims on one side of my counter tops. 2- They shifted my sink out of place so now it does not line up correctly. 3- The holes for my faucet should have been placed further back so now when I turn on the faucet the water splashes out of the sink. I have been getting the run around from this company for months now. I wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. They are definitely not worth the headache. read more

What an amazing experience, from the first meeting, to the counter installation. At the first meeting we went through the space we were going after to get measurements, then we were recommended a few stone companies to look at (MSI, AZ Tile, etc.) We visited them along with HD & Lowes to compare, we also had a tour of the boneyard (spares) onsite to see if there was a pattern of interest. We fell in love with stone at AZ Tile and selected the two pieces. From there, the final templates were created and we had the experience of picking out which exact pieces we wanted to go where in the kitchen. It was so much fun & a tad overwhelming at the start, but after picking all the pieces it was the right call as we now have it in the kitchen. I purchased countertops through Home Depot and this was the company they subcontracted with. I was not provided the company's name until they called to schedule an appointment to measure my countertops. Kendra was the project manager from their main office and she was great to work with. She was very nice, friendly, good at returning calls and emails, and made everything as smooth as possible. Oti was very nice when he came to take measurements. As with ALL home improvement projects, nothing ever goes according to plan. When I saw other negative Yelp reviews I was horrified as I was already in a signed contract, I paid Home Depot and it was too late to cancel. Overall the process went smooth and the installation was done much quicker than I expected. There were minor issues I noticed a day after the installation. I thought I was doomed because I already signed the paperwork saying my counters were ok. They could have easily said I signed off on the paperwork, sorry, but they did not. I addressed my concerns with Kendra and she was able to get them corrected and within a timely manner. She also accommodated my schedule for the follow up appointments without hesitation. Horrible horrible service!!! Ordered countertops through Lowe's, who contracted with Counter Fit. Worse service ever. I had two countertops to be replaced in my bathrooms. Original measure was canceled. After it was finally done, the demo team came out. They took down my mirror in my bathroom. When they came to install one of the countertops, they refused to put the mirror back up. I called the office and spoke with the manager, Raquel. She was so rude and her exact words to me were, we are not responsible for mirrors, "we did you a favor by taking the mirror down." How rude!!! It is now two months later and my job is still not complete. Calls are not returned as they state. The workers cut the slab wrong both times and now they are looking for options to not have to pay for a new slab. I was told a new slab would cost thousands of dollars. I was offered to pick something else from their yard. No!! I want what I paid for. Who wants mixed match countertops??? This ordeal has been horrible as I have been without no running water in my sink for over two months. This has been extremely challenging for my disabled sister who lives with me. All I hear is LOTS of excuses from Counter Fit. Please save yourself time and frustration--DO NOT USE COUNTER FIT!!! read more
