Dates and Times: Monday, June 22nd, 2026 around 12:45pm…read moreWednesday, June 24th, 2026 around 2:30am The boys and I had gone I guess you could call it clubbing. After dancing the night away, we were hungry. Couldn't find anything open, so we decided to hit up Spar for some food. Our initial stop here was just to get some provisions such as red bull, water, etc. The second stop was for the drunken eats. Luckily they have a fair amount of ready to eat food. We grabbed some sandwiches - Chicken & Egg Cub, Chicken & Pepper Sandwich. Also, got some chips - Guiness and Flame Grilled Steak. The chips were something I never tried before. It wasn't bad at all. Beer and meat chips, who knew? I have no idea how much we spent here since the hubs took care of everything and I forgot to get a pic of the receipt. But we were staying in the area, so convenient for provisions and late night eats. REVIEW #4112

Spar is similar to Tesco and M&S, but slightly more expensive (and not really worth the…read moredifference). However, whenever I travel internationally, I always look forward to trying new snacks that are not available in the United States. So I did find some Doritos flavors at Spar that i hadn't seen anywhere else during my time in Dublin. It's a fully stocked store with an array of items from chips, candy, and cookies to an assortment of grab&go sandwiches and instant ramen. This location is nestled on the corner of a busy, crowded street. No self-checkout. You have to pay at the register. The customer service was a bit lackluster.

Oh my god this place was the absolute best is like a little grocery store but they had a hot bar…read moreand tons of treats and connected to it was a frank and honest coffee company I was able to get a pot of hot tea and some little foods to eat I really enjoyed myself at this particular place and I wish that I would've been here every day because you could pretty much survive of everything They had some great chicken cutlets The baguette was amazing I brought a hazelnut donuts back home with me to my hotel I couldn't fit it but it was a lot of things that I wanted everything looked absolutely delicious I don't know why anyone would give this a better view

A Centra is indeed a Centra, but there's a couple things about this one worth noting…read more.. It has a hot counter (it likely didn't have one in 2009 as per previous review) and the Centra itself is oddly "long". You can enter in Temple Bar and exit on the quays OR you can even enter on the quays and exit in Temple Bar. It seems to always be busy between 8-9am and 12-3pm. I usually pass through to buy a mineral, as it's 1 Euro (as opposed to the one on Parliament Street, where they are still asking for 1.50-2.00). The staff is rather brisk and abrupt. You can be cheerful and say 'thank you' and they'll still look at you with contempt, as if they are doing you an absolute favour letting you spend whatever money hasn't been taxed off you at their establishment. The queue at the register is next to the dining area near the quay doors. This exposes oneself to a lot of 'ambiance', such as last week the queue bore witness to a charming card breaking up with his girlfriend (tears and all) at the table closest to the register. I guess it couldn't wait.

All the vendors are super friendly and love to make conversation! Great way to spend a morning! The ambiance is very quaint and friendly! Overall a great atmosphere and way to buy. Will come here for certain vegetables and lunch when I'm in the city

Thank you for the recommendation, Fodor's! (yes, I bought their travel guide like a true tourist.)…read more My friends and I wanted to try some Ireland oysters because we heard they were supposedly super fresh. We were running out of time on our hunt to find them when I realized, 'I've got my trusty guidebook!!' And that's how we ended up here. It was 12 Euros for 6 oysters and a glass of wine. Since there were four of us, the lady was nice enough to give us 4 cups of wine (yes, plastic cups - it's a farmer's market, what do you expect!) They even threw in an extra oyster! SO FRESH! SO BIG! (cue that's-what-she-said joke). Compared to NYC oysters, these babies looked like they were on steroids! They also have this dipping sauce (had onions and was really vinegar-y, but good. But if you don't like the sour, you should just take the oyster straight.) Didn't eat anything else from other stands because we just had lunch. However, I believe they had shish kebabs, crepes, and bread. Oh and FYI - Sheridans Cheesemongers was there (saw this place on Anthony Bourdain when he went to Dublin so thought this might be worth mentioning). Definitely check out this farmer's market!
