There's little competition from other groceries stores in the area and so this M&S usually has lots of people in it even when the IFSC is mostly empty. This shop stocks a range of food and grocery items but concentrates on lunch items such as sandwiches, ready meals and snacks. They do have quite a good wine section for a relatively small store and stock other useful items like tights, cards and a smattering of cleaning and household stuff.

So I decided to gather my thoughts before trying to figure out again the correct door to enter and spare me looking like an idiot standing there looking so very confused. Im not a bimbo but this store seems to bring it out in me!! Anyway I as I reached for my trolly I got my usual volt of static electricity from it. As I recoiled my arm in shock looking like a Harry Potter fan trying to do a magic trick I knew I could forget my street cred and off I went to explore the store! The aisles are so small and narrow two trollies can not pass buy each other without one person having to reverse or push themselves against the shelves whilst trying not to let the contents fall to the ground. I have shopped here about three times but each time it is the same I park my trolly in some corner of the shop and walk around helplessly with my super valu brochure in my hand searching for the the items I want. Yesterday I just couldn't get it together I end up having to ask whom I guess was the manager to direct me to nearly every thing I wanted from the brochure!. I was was like a mute cavewoman pointing to the pictures in the brochure. I was directed swiftly to the area where each item was, and then I would point again and be swiftly directed again. I am normally OK at shopping and finding products but this shop is just pretty frustrating! Ok to the good points - the staff are very friendly and helpful and there are some good deals in store. They have some good deals from time to time, but the quality of their own brand stuff isn't up to scratch and their deli counter is fairly disappointing. Only any good if you don't have other options.

After dancing the night away, we were hungry. Couldn't find anything open, so we decided to hit up Spar for some food. Our initial stop here was just to get some provisions such as red bull, water, etc. The second stop was for the drunken eats. Luckily they have a fair amount of ready to eat food. We grabbed some sandwiches - Chicken & Egg Cub, Chicken & Pepper Sandwich. Also, got some chips - Guiness and Flame Grilled Steak. The chips were something I never tried before. It wasn't bad at all. Beer and meat chips, who knew? I have no idea how much we spent here since the hubs took care of everything and I forgot to get a pic of the receipt. So I did find some Doritos flavors at Spar that i hadn't seen anywhere else during my time in Dublin. It's a fully stocked store with an array of items from chips, candy, and cookies to an assortment of grab&go sandwiches and instant ramen.
